Overview
The RC Overhaul Steering Knuckles in Black Brass for the Axial SCX30 platform represent a high-quality upgrade solution for RC enthusiasts looking to enhance their crawler or scale RC model. These replacement steering knuckles are specifically designed to fit the SCX30 chassis, making them an ideal choice for UK RC hobbyists who demand precision engineering and durability from their components. Whether you are maintaining your existing setup or embarking on a comprehensive upgrade of your RC car UK collection, these steering knuckles deliver the solid metal construction and consistent aesthetic that serious RC modellers expect.
Steering knuckles are critical components in any RC vehicle's front end assembly, responsible for connecting the steering rods to the wheel hub and controlling the direction of travel. The RC Overhaul G-RCO-AX044 steering knuckles offer a two-piece set of brass components with a professional black finish, providing both functional reliability and visual appeal to your SCX30 build. These components are particularly popular among RC enthusiasts in the UK who appreciate the balance between performance and appearance in their ready to run RC projects and long-term custom builds.
Brass is an excellent choice for steering knuckles in RC vehicles because it offers superior durability compared to plastic alternatives whilst maintaining a relatively lightweight profile that does not adversely affect your vehicle's centre of gravity or handling characteristics. The black finish provides a sleek, modern appearance that complements most SCX30 aesthetic builds, whether you are creating a scale replica or a high-performance crawler. RC model shop customers appreciate the quality-to-price ratio that RC Overhaul products consistently deliver, making these steering knuckles an accessible upgrade for both beginners and experienced RC car enthusiasts.
Key Features
- Brass Construction — The steering knuckles are manufactured from brass, a material chosen specifically for its strength, durability and resistance to wear, ensuring your steering assembly remains responsive and precise through countless hours of RC driving and bashing.
- Black Finish — The professional black coating provides both aesthetic appeal and a protective layer against corrosion, helping to extend the lifespan of these components whilst maintaining a cohesive look across your SCX30 build.
- SCX30 Compatibility — These steering knuckles are engineered specifically to fit the Axial SCX30 platform, ensuring perfect fitment and alignment without modifications or adapters, making installation straightforward for UK RC modellers of all skill levels.
- Two-Piece Set — You receive a pair of steering knuckles in this package, providing you with replacement components for both sides of your RC vehicle's front axle assembly and ensuring matched performance across your steering system.
- Option Part Design — As an option part rather than a standard component, these steering knuckles are designed for users who want to upgrade their factory equipment or replace worn components with higher-quality alternatives.
- Solid Metal Construction — The heavyweight metal build provides superior rigidity compared to plastic knuckles, reducing flex and improving steering precision during cornering and off-road driving scenarios.
Technical Performance
The RC Overhaul Steering Knuckles represent a thoughtfully engineered approach to SCX30 front-end upgrades. Brass is an ideal material choice for steering knuckles because it combines strength with machinability, allowing manufacturers to create precise geometry that translates directly into improved steering response and durability during aggressive driving. The black finish applied to these knuckles serves dual purposes: it provides visual continuity with modern RC car aesthetics whilst offering surface protection that helps prevent oxidation and corrosion over extended periods of use. For UK RC enthusiasts engaged in regular off-road driving or scale crawling, the superior material composition compared to plastic alternatives ensures longer component lifespan and more consistent steering feel throughout the life of your RC vehicle. These steering knuckles function as a direct replacement for factory SCX30 steering components, meaning they maintain the exact same geometry and mounting points, ensuring seamless integration into your existing drivetrain without requiring geometry adjustments or steering trim compensation. The two-piece configuration allows you to address wear or damage to either the left or right steering knuckle independently, or perform a complete upgrade of both sides simultaneously for maximum consistency in steering feel and performance characteristics across both sides of your RC chassis.
