Technical Performance
The GENSACE Li-Po HV Car Hard Case represents the cutting edge of RC battery technology, engineered specifically for high-performance RC car applications across the UK and beyond. With a nominal voltage of 7.6V (2S HV chemistry), this pack delivers elevated voltage performance that translates to superior motor performance and throttle response compared to standard 7.4V batteries. The 6600mAh capacity provides substantial runtime, whilst the exceptional 140C discharge rating ensures your brushless RC motor receives the full current it demands without voltage sag during hard acceleration or cornering.
Weighing approximately 242 grams and measuring 138mm length by 46mm width by 19mm height, this battery pack is designed to fit within standard RC car battery trays whilst maintaining excellent weight distribution. The hardcase construction utilises durable protective materials that shield the delicate LiPo cells from physical damage, moisture intrusion and environmental stress that could compromise performance or safety. The low internal resistance (Low IR) design ensures that voltage remains stable throughout your entire driving session, delivering consistent power to your brushless motor from full charge down to the safe discharge threshold, eliminating the voltage drop that users experience with inferior battery technology.
Gens Ace employs advanced thermal management and cell balancing technologies that prevent individual cells from experiencing excessive stress, heat generation or premature ageing. The strict single-cell matching process ensures that every cell within the pack maintains identical capacity, voltage characteristics and discharge curves, which prevents the common problem of cell imbalance that plagues inferior batteries. This level of engineering excellence means your RC car delivers consistent lap times, predictable handling and reliable performance race after race, season after season.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Is this Gens Ace battery suitable for my RC car? — Yes, the 2S HV configuration with 5.0mm bullet terminals is compatible with most modern RC cars and trucks across the UK that feature standard 2S battery trays and 5mm connectors. However, always verify that your vehicle's battery compartment has sufficient space for the 138×46×19mm dimensions and that your charger supports HV LiPo charging, as HV chemistry requires specialised charging profiles.
- What does the 140C discharge rating mean for my RC car's performance? — The 140C rating indicates the maximum continuous current the battery can safely deliver, which equals 6.6 amperes multiplied by 140, providing up to 924 amps of peak discharge capacity. This exceptional rating ensures that even high-demand brushless motors drawing 150+ amps receive stable, consistent current without voltage sag, delivering the acceleration, speed and responsiveness you expect from premium RC equipment.
- How long will this battery last between charges? — Runtime depends entirely on your driving style, motor size, terrain and vehicle weight, but the substantial 6600mAh capacity typically provides between 15 to 25 minutes of continuous driving on a single charge for most RC cars. Competitive drivers often operate two or three packs in rotation to maximise track time, treating the pack as a consumable that requires regular charging between sessions.
- What charger do I need for HV LiPo batteries? — HV LiPo chemistry requires a charger specifically designed to support HV charging profiles, as standard LiPo chargers are limited to lower voltages. Most modern RC chargers from reputable brands sold across the UK include HV charging capability, but always verify your charger's specification before using this battery pack.
- How should I store this battery when not in use? — Store the Gens Ace battery in a cool, dry location at approximately 3.8V per cell (7.6V total for 2S), which is the optimal storage voltage that minimises degradation during periods when your RC car sits unused. The hardcase provides excellent protection, but store batteries away from direct sunlight, extreme heat and moisture to maximise lifespan and safety.
- What is the difference between HV and standard LiPo batteries? — HV (High Voltage) LiPo chemistry operates at slightly elevated voltage compared to standard LiPo, typically delivering 3.85V per cell compared to 3.7V per cell in standard chemistry. This 2.7% increase in voltage per cell translates to noticeably stronger power output, improved acceleration and better motor performance, making HV chemistry the preferred choice for competitive RC drivers and those seeking maximum performance.
- Is this battery safe for indoor use at my local RC track? — Yes, LiPo batteries are the industry standard for RC vehicles and are perfectly safe when handled correctly according to manufacturer guidelines. However, always charge in a fire-safe location using a quality charger, never leave charging batteries unattended, and always follow proper storage procedures to prevent accidental damage or puncture that could compromise safety.
- How many charge cycles does this battery provide before degradation? — A properly maintained Gens Ace LiPo battery typically provides 300 to 500 charge cycles before noticeable capacity reduction becomes apparent. Factors affecting lifespan include charging practices, storage conditions, discharge depth and operating temperature. Avoiding deep discharges, storing at correct voltage and using quality chargers extends battery life significantly.
