Overview
The Traxxas Toe links, front (moulded composite) represent a premium suspension upgrade designed specifically for the Mini Maxx WideMaxx suspension kit on compatible Traxxas models. These fixed-length front toe links are essential components for fine-tuning your RC car's suspension geometry and achieving optimal handling characteristics across different driving conditions. Whether you're a dedicated RC enthusiast looking to upgrade your Mini XRT VXL-3S or a serious hobbyist seeking to enhance suspension performance, these moulded composite toe links deliver the adjustability and durability required for competitive and recreational driving alike. The inclusion of hollow ball joints ensures smooth articulation whilst maintaining structural integrity, making these suspension parts an ideal choice for anyone serious about maximising their RC car's potential on the track or off-road course.
Manufactured by Traxxas, a globally recognised leader in RC vehicle engineering and innovation, these front toe links exemplify the brand's commitment to producing high-quality spare parts and upgrade components. The moulded composite construction provides an excellent balance between weight savings and strength, whilst the hollow ball design allows for precise toe-in adjustments that directly impact steering response, tyre wear patterns, and overall vehicle stability. For RC enthusiasts in the UK seeking to optimise their Mini Maxx WideMaxx setup, these genuine Traxxas suspension components offer reliability and performance you can trust. These parts work seamlessly with the #10790 Mini Maxx WideMaxx suspension kit, ensuring compatibility and proper fitment on your vehicle.
As part of the Traxxas range of suspension hop-up parts, the front toe links complement other available upgrades to create a comprehensive tuning platform. RC car customisation and suspension modification have become central to the hobby experience, allowing drivers to personalise their vehicles for maximum performance and durability. The ability to adjust toe-in settings is particularly valuable for RC bashers and racers alike, as it influences how your tyres contact the ground and how responsive your vehicle feels through turns and over varied terrain.

- Adjustability for Toe-In Settings — The hollow ball joints allow you to fine-tune toe-in angles, which directly affects steering characteristics, tyre wear patterns, and handling response during acceleration, braking, and cornering.
- Genuine Traxxas Engineering — Manufactured to Traxxas quality standards, these front toe links deliver the reliability and performance you'd expect from the world-leading RC vehicle manufacturer.
Technical Performance
The Traxxas front toe links represent a significant upgrade over stock suspension components, particularly when used as part of a comprehensive suspension modification programme. The moulded composite material has been specifically engineered to deliver superior performance characteristics compared to basic plastic alternatives, offering increased rigidity whilst maintaining the lightweight properties essential for responsive handling. The hollow ball joint design is a critical feature that enables precise, smooth articulation without introducing play or slack into the suspension system. When properly adjusted, these toe links allow you to optimise your vehicle's front-end geometry, which in turn affects how your tyres grip the track surface and how quickly your RC car responds to steering input. The 71mm fixed length ensures perfect fitment with the #10790 Mini Maxx WideMaxx suspension kit, maintaining the engineered suspension geometry that Traxxas has developed through extensive research and testing. Suspension tuning, particularly toe-in adjustment, is recognised as one of the most impactful modifications you can make to an RC car's performance characteristics. By upgrading to these moulded composite toe links with their superior hollow ball joints, you're investing in components that will enhance steering feel, reduce uneven tyre wear, and contribute to more consistent lap times or trail performance. The four hollow balls included provide redundancy and allow for future replacements or alternative mounting configurations if needed during maintenance or further customisation.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What is the purpose of front toe link adjustment on an RC car? — Front toe links control the toe-in angle of your front wheels, which is the angle at which the tyres point relative to the centre line of the vehicle. Adjusting toe-in affects how your RC car steers, how much grip the front tyres have in corners, and how evenly your tyres wear during driving. Proper toe-in settings are essential for achieving optimal handling balance and consistent performance.
- Are these front toe links compatible with my Traxxas Mini XRT VXL-3S? — Yes, these Traxxas front toe links are specifically designed for use with the Mini XRT VXL-3S and are compatible with all colour variants including red, blue, green, and orange models. They are engineered to work with the #10790 Mini Maxx WideMaxx suspension kit, ensuring perfect fitment and alignment with your existing suspension components.
- What's the difference between these moulded composite toe links and stock plastic versions? — The moulded composite material used in these Traxxas upgrade toe links offers superior strength and rigidity compared to basic plastic alternatives, which means they're less likely to bend or flex under load during aggressive driving. The hollow ball joint design also provides smoother articulation and more precise adjustability, allowing you to fine-tune your suspension geometry more effectively. These improvements directly translate to better handling response and more consistent performance.
- Do I need any special tools to install these front toe links? — Installation should be straightforward for anyone with basic RC mechanical knowledge and standard hobby tools. The Traxxas 8712 tool kit is recommended for installing suspension components, as it includes premium hex bits and nut drivers designed specifically for working on Traxxas models. The kit also comes with an embroidered storage case for convenient organisation.
- How many front toe links do I need to fully upgrade my suspension? — This set includes two front toe links, which is exactly what you need for the front of your RC vehicle. If you're looking to upgrade your rear suspension geometry as well, Traxxas offers complementary rear camber links and rear toe links as separate components.
- Can I adjust these toe links to different settings? — Yes, the hollow ball joint design allows you to adjust the toe-in angle by rotating the toe links slightly, though the overall length remains fixed at 71mm. This adjustability is crucial for tuning your vehicle's handling characteristics to suit different track conditions, driving styles, or terrain types.
- What other suspension upgrades complement these front toe links? — To create a comprehensive suspension upgrade package similar to professional build configurations, you might consider pairing these front toe links with other Traxxas suspension components including front camber links, rear camber links, upgraded shock towers, and high-performance GTR shocks. These components work together to create a fully adjustable suspension system that responds to your tuning inputs.
