Overview

The Futaba SBC HUB 1500mm S.BUS Hub Lead (No VCC) is an essential connectivity component for RC enthusiasts in the UK who are building or expanding their Futaba S.BUS radio control systems. This specialised hub lead is specifically designed for use with remote battery configurations, making it an ideal choice for modellers who need flexible power distribution across their RC setups. Whether you're upgrading your RC car UK hobby setup, configuring a multi-servo system, or expanding your existing Futaba radio control installation, this 1500mm extension lead provides the reach and compatibility you need without the added complexity of integrated voltage control.

Manufactured by Futaba, the world-renowned leader in radio control technology since 1948, this S.BUS hub lead represents precision engineering and reliable connectivity. The absence of VCC (voltage control) in this variant makes it the perfect choice for advanced RC modellers who prefer to manage battery power distribution independently, allowing for more sophisticated and customised system configurations. At 1500mm in length, this cable provides substantial reach between your receiver hub and remote battery pack, giving you maximum flexibility in vehicle layout and component placement.

RC Model Shop proudly stocks this Futaba accessory as part of our comprehensive range of radio control components and spares. Whether you're a seasoned RC competitor looking to optimise your setup, a weekend basher wanting to expand your system capabilities, or an RC enthusiast discovering the advantages of S.BUS technology, this hub lead delivers the professional-grade connectivity you need for reliable performance on the track or trail.

Key Features

  • 1500mm Extended Cable Length — At 59.06 inches long, this hub lead provides substantial reach between your S.BUS receiver hub and remote battery pack, giving you complete flexibility in positioning components within your RC vehicle or system setup without compromise.
  • No VCC Design for Remote Battery Use — Unlike standard S.BUS hub leads, this variant omits the voltage control line, making it specifically engineered for use with independently powered remote battery configurations, allowing advanced modellers to manage power distribution exactly as they prefer.
  • Futaba Connector Compatibility — Equipped with a genuine Futaba connector, this lead ensures perfect compatibility with all Futaba S.BUS hub systems and accessories, guaranteeing reliable signal transmission and secure connections every time.
  • Professional Black Finish — The sleek black colour provides a clean, professional appearance whilst remaining discreet within any RC installation, whether visible or hidden within vehicle chassis and control boxes.
  • Lightweight and Compact — Weighing just 0.03kg, this hub lead adds virtually no weight to your RC setup, making it ideal for weight-conscious applications where every gram matters for performance and handling characteristics.
  • S.BUS Technology Integration — Part of Futaba's comprehensive S.BUS ecosystem, this lead works seamlessly with S.BUS servo decoders, programmers, and other compatible accessories, offering genuine Futaba quality and reliability.

Technical Performance

The Futaba SBC HUB 1500mm S.BUS Hub Lead represents precision engineering designed for serious RC modellers who demand reliability and flexibility. The 1500mm cable length—equivalent to 59.06 inches—provides exceptional reach for complex RC setups where component separation is necessary or desired. The hub lead features a robust Futaba connector that ensures secure, repeatable connections without signal degradation or dropout issues. The absence of VCC (voltage control) makes this lead perfect for advanced installations where battery power is managed through a separate remote battery configuration, allowing modellers to optimise their power distribution strategy independently of the S.BUS signal chain. This separation of concerns—signal intelligence on one circuit, power delivery on another—is a hallmark of professional-grade RC system design. The lightweight construction, at just 0.03kg, ensures minimal impact on your RC vehicle's weight distribution and handling characteristics, particularly important in competitive applications where every component's mass affects performance. Whether you're building a competition-grade RC buggy, setting up a sophisticated multi-servo rover, or configuring an advanced RC crawler with complex control requirements, this hub lead delivers the connectivity foundation upon which reliable, responsive systems are built. The black colour provides discreet integration into any RC installation, and the durable Futaba connector ensures thousands of reliable connection cycles.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What does No VCC mean and why would I need this variant? — VCC refers to voltage control, which is the power distribution line included in standard S.BUS hub leads. The "No VCC" variant omits this line, making it perfect for advanced modellers who use separate, independently managed remote battery packs. This design allows you to control power distribution separately from your S.BUS signal chain, offering greater flexibility in complex RC setups and competitive applications where optimised power management is critical.
  • How long is the cable and will it fit my RC setup? — This hub lead measures 1500mm (59.06 inches) in length, making it suitable for larger RC vehicles, complex multi-component setups, or installations where significant separation is needed between your S.BUS receiver hub and remote battery pack. This extended length is ideal for RC buggies, trucks, crawlers, and sophisticated multi-servo systems common in UK RC racing and hobby applications.
  • Is this compatible with my Futaba radio system? — Yes, this hub lead features a genuine Futaba connector and is part of Futaba's comprehensive S.BUS ecosystem. It works seamlessly with all Futaba S.BUS compatible receivers, servo decoders, and other S.BUS accessories. If you're already using Futaba S.BUS technology in your RC setup, this lead integrates perfectly without any compatibility concerns.
  • What is S.BUS and why is it better than traditional PWM? — S.BUS is Futaba's proprietary digital signal protocol that transmits channel information serially over a single cable, compared to traditional PWM which requires individual wires for each channel. S.BUS offers advantages including reduced wiring complexity, faster signal transmission, support for more channels in a compact form factor, and improved signal integrity—all important factors in modern competitive RC racing and advanced hobby applications throughout the UK RC community.
  • Can I use this with a standard remote battery? — Absolutely. This hub lead is specifically designed for remote battery use. The absence of VCC means you'll connect your remote battery pack to your flight or drive box through a separate, dedicated power circuit, whilst this hub lead carries only the S.BUS signal data, ensuring clean power distribution and reliable digital communication.
  • What weight does this add to my RC setup? — The hub lead weighs just 0.03kg (0.07 pounds), making it negligible in impact on your RC vehicle's total weight. This minimal mass makes it ideal even for weight-sensitive applications where precise weight distribution and overall vehicle mass significantly influence handling and performance characteristics.
  • Where would I use a 1500mm hub lead in my RC car? — The extended 1500mm length is perfect for larger RC vehicles where you need substantial separation between components, such as 1/8 and 1/10 scale buggies and trucks, RC crawlers with distributed servo arrangements, or sophisticated multi-component setups. It's also ideal if your receiver hub and remote battery pack need to be positioned at opposite ends of your vehicle chassis for weight distribution or access reasons.
