Overview
The Futaba SBC HUB 1500mm S.BUS Hub Lead (FUTEBC0077) is an essential extension cable for radio control enthusiasts who demand professional-grade connectivity in their RC installations. Whether you're building a sophisticated multi-servo setup for your RC car, truck, or aircraft, this long-reach S.BUS hub lead offers the extra distance needed for clean cable routing and organised wiring layouts. At 1,500mm in length, it provides genuine reach where standard shorter leads simply won't suffice, making it an ideal choice for complex RC builds across the UK market where proper cable management is crucial for both aesthetics and reliability.
Supplied directly by Futaba, the world's leading manufacturer of radio control systems since 1948, this S.BUS hub lead is built to the same exacting standards that have made Futaba the choice of competitive RC drivers, hobbyists and professionals alike. The discreet black finish ensures your RC installation maintains a tidy, integrated appearance without drawing unnecessary attention to the wiring infrastructure. This is the kind of component that separates amateur builds from properly engineered RC setups—it's the difference between a rat's nest of cables and a professional-looking installation you can be proud of.
If you're serious about your RC hobby, whether you race competitively, bash at weekends, or operate an RC aircraft, you understand that quality components matter. This Futaba S.BUS hub lead is precisely the sort of accessory that prevents headaches down the line, allowing you to position your S.BUS hub components exactly where they need to be without compromise. Its incredibly light weight of just 0.03kg means it adds virtually nothing to your RC vehicle's overall mass, yet provides the functionality and reach you've been looking for.
Key Features
- 1,500mm Length (59.06 inches) — This extended length allows you to route S.BUS hub connections across larger RC installations without cramping components or creating tight cable bends that could damage the connector over time. Whether you're setting up an RC monster truck with a complex electronics layout or an aircraft with distributed servo placement, the 1,500mm reach gives you genuine flexibility in component positioning.
- S.BUS Protocol Compatibility — The lead is specifically engineered for S.BUS communication, which is Futaba's advanced serial protocol that allows you to control multiple servos and devices through a single signal line. This significantly simplifies wiring compared to traditional PWM connections and is the standard for modern RC systems.
- Futaba Connector — Features genuine Futaba connectors that ensure reliable, secure connections with all Futaba S.BUS hubs and compatible equipment. The precision-engineered connector minimises contact resistance and provides the kind of dependable performance you expect from Futaba's 75+ years of radio control heritage.
- Discreet Black Finish — The professional black colour scheme seamlessly integrates with most RC installations, allowing your setup to look clean and intentional rather than cobbled together. This attention to aesthetic detail reflects Futaba's commitment to delivering complete solutions, not just components.
- Lightweight Construction — Weighing just 0.03kg, this hub lead adds virtually nothing to your RC vehicle's mass, making it ideal for weight-conscious applications where every gram counts. Whether you're optimising a competition-grade RC buggy or a high-performance RC aircraft, you won't sacrifice performance or battery life for connectivity.
Technical Performance
The Futaba SBC HUB 1500mm S.BUS Hub Lead represents the kind of engineering excellence that Futaba has built its reputation on since establishing the company in 1948. This isn't simply a cable—it's a precision component designed to integrate seamlessly into modern S.BUS ecosystems that have become the standard across competitive RC racing, freestyle flying, and serious hobbyist installations throughout the UK and beyond. The 1,500mm length is engineered to accommodate the demands of larger RC vehicles and complex multi-servo configurations without introducing unnecessary slack or creating cable management nightmares. The S.BUS protocol itself represents a significant advancement over traditional PWM servo control, allowing single-line communication to control multiple servos and auxiliary devices with minimal wiring complexity. The Futaba connector ensures that electrical continuity remains pristine throughout your RC system, with engineering tolerances that prevent the intermittent connection issues that plague lesser-quality alternatives. The cable's minimal weight of 0.03kg ensures it poses no meaningful impact on your RC vehicle's performance characteristics, whether you're operating an RC car, truck, or aircraft. Built to work seamlessly with Futaba's comprehensive range of S.BUS hubs and compatible equipment, this lead is a professional-grade solution for anyone who refuses to compromise on reliability or build quality. The black finish isn't merely cosmetic—it reflects the professional engineering inside, signalling that this is a component created by specialists for specialists.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What is an S.BUS hub lead and why would I need one? — An S.BUS hub lead is a cable that connects S.BUS hub components in your RC setup, allowing serial communication between your receiver and multiple servos or devices using Futaba's advanced S.BUS protocol. The 1,500mm length is specifically designed for larger RC installations where standard shorter cables cannot reach between components positioned at different points in your vehicle. If you're building an RC system with servos, receivers, and hubs that are spaced far apart, this extended lead gives you the reach needed for clean, professional wiring without forcing compromise in your component placement.
- Is the Futaba SBC HUB 1500mm S.BUS Hub Lead compatible with all Futaba receivers? — This S.BUS hub lead is specifically engineered for use with Futaba S.BUS hub components and systems. It uses Futaba connectors and operates on the S.BUS protocol, so it's compatible with modern Futaba receivers that support S.BUS connectivity. If you're unsure whether your specific Futaba receiver is S.BUS-compatible, we recommend checking your receiver's documentation or contacting our expert team at RC Model Shop for clarification.
- How does the 1,500mm length compare to standard hub leads? — At 1,500mm (59.06 inches), this hub lead is a full-length extension designed for larger RC installations and vehicles where components need to be separated significantly. Standard hub leads are typically much shorter, usually ranging from a few hundred millimetres to around 1,000mm. The extra 500mm of reach that this lead provides makes it invaluable for complex builds where you need flexibility in component positioning without stretching cables to breaking point.
- Will this hub lead add weight or affect my RC vehicle's performance? — The lead weighs just 0.03kg, which is negligible for any RC vehicle. Whether you're operating an RC car, truck, or aircraft, this minimal mass means you won't see any meaningful impact on acceleration, speed, handling, or flight characteristics. In fact, by enabling proper component placement without forcing cramped layouts, this lead can actually improve your overall system reliability and longevity.
- Can I use this S.BUS hub lead with non-Futaba equipment? — The Futaba SBC HUB 1500mm S.BUS Hub Lead is specifically engineered with Futaba connectors and the S.BUS protocol. For compatibility with non-Futaba systems, you would need to verify that your other brand's equipment supports S.BUS communication and features compatible connectors. We recommend contacting our team at RC Model Shop if you have specific compatibility questions about your setup.
