Technical Performance
The Futaba SBC HUB 300mm S.BUS Hub Lead represents straightforward engineering excellence designed for integration into demanding RC environments. Operating on the proven S.BUS protocol, this lead supports the full bandwidth required for modern multi-channel RC control systems, whether you're running a basic 6-channel setup or a more complex configuration with 16+ channels. The cable length of 300mm (approximately 11.81 inches) has been carefully calculated to provide genuine flexibility in receiver and hub placement without introducing unnecessary slack that could lead to mechanical interference or signal reflections. Built with lightweight materials weighing just 0.01kg (0.03lbs), this component is engineered to integrate into weight-critical applications without compromising your model's balance or performance characteristics. The genuine Futaba connectors utilise industry-standard pin spacing and retention mechanisms, ensuring positive connection pressure and long-term reliability across thousands of control cycles. Whether you're installing this in a competitive racing platform, a serious crawler, or a bashing-oriented buggy, the engineering integrity of this genuine Futaba component ensures it will deliver consistent, trouble-free service throughout the lifespan of your RC model.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What is an S.BUS hub lead and why do I need one for my RC model? — An S.BUS hub lead is a specialised connector cable that integrates with S.BUS hub systems, allowing you to centralise your servo connections into a single clean installation point. Rather than running individual servo leads from your receiver to multiple servos throughout your RC car or truck, an S.BUS hub consolidates these connections, reducing cable clutter, improving wiring organisation, and making your installation cleaner and more professional. This is particularly valuable if you're building a custom RC setup with multiple servos for steering, throttle, and auxiliary functions.
- Is this compatible with my Futaba receiver? — The Futaba SBC HUB 300mm S.BUS Hub Lead is designed to work with all Futaba receivers and equipment that support the S.BUS protocol. S.BUS is Futaba's standard digital servo bus architecture, and this lead will integrate seamlessly with any S.BUS-equipped system. If you're unsure whether your specific receiver supports S.BUS, we recommend checking your receiver's documentation or contacting our expert team for guidance.
- Can I use this hub lead with non-Futaba receivers? — This lead is specifically engineered for Futaba S.BUS systems and uses genuine Futaba connectors. Whilst some third-party receivers may offer S.BUS compatibility, we recommend confirming compatibility with your specific receiver model before purchase, as connector types and pin configurations can vary between manufacturers.
- What is the advantage of using S.BUS over traditional individual servo leads? — S.BUS offers several significant advantages: it dramatically reduces the number of cables required (replacing multiple individual servo leads with a single digital bus), it reduces weight since you're using fewer connectors and thinner wiring, it provides cleaner receiver-to-servo routing with fewer cable management issues, and it enables more advanced features like telemetry and programming functions on compatible systems. For anyone serious about building a professional-grade RC model, S.BUS represents a modern approach to receiver architecture.
- Will this work with my ready to run RC car? — This is a replacement/upgrade component rather than a complete ready to run product. If your ready to run RC car uses a Futaba S.BUS-equipped receiver, then this hub lead can be used as a replacement or to expand your servo configuration. However, most basic ready to run RC models use traditional PPM receivers rather than S.BUS systems, so compatibility would depend on your specific model.
- How do I install this hub lead in my RC model? — Installation is straightforward: connect the Futaba connector at one end to your S.BUS hub or receiver's S.BUS port, and then connect your servos to the other end of the hub lead following your equipment's documentation. The 300mm length provides sufficient reach for most installations whilst allowing flexible routing through your model's frame. Always ensure connections are fully seated and secure before operating your model.
