Overview

The Futaba 1000mm Standard Extension Lead FUTEBB0122 is an essential accessory for RC enthusiasts who need to extend the reach between their receiver and servos, or other connected components in their RC car, truck, plane or boat setup. Whether you're building a competition-grade RC vehicle, setting up a bashers dream machine, or fine-tuning your existing RC hobby model, extension leads like this one are crucial for achieving the perfect servo placement and control configuration. This genuine Futaba accessory provides a reliable, durable connection that meets the exacting standards Futaba has maintained since 1948, making it a trusted choice for RC model builders across the UK and Ireland.

If you're serious about your RC hobby in the UK, you understand that every component matters when it comes to performance and reliability. The Futaba 1000mm Standard Extension Lead is manufactured to the same quality standards as Futaba's legendary radio transmitters and receivers, ensuring that your servo signals remain clean and interference-free over the full 1-metre length. This extended reach is particularly valuable in larger scale RC models, competition setups, or when your receiver location doesn't align perfectly with where you need your servos mounted. With Futaba's reputation for quality backed by J Perkins (the official UK and Ireland distributor since 1975), you can be confident that this extension lead will perform reliably through countless hours of RC driving, flying or boating.

The 1000mm length makes this extension lead ideal for scenarios where standard shorter leads simply won't reach, such as mounting receiver components in the centre or rear of a large RC vehicle while needing to control front and rear servos, or setting up complex control systems in competition RC models. Whether you race in the UK's thriving RC community, participate in RC off-road events, or simply enjoy recreational RC driving and flying, having the right extension leads on hand ensures you're never limited by cable length when building or modifying your setup.

Key Features

  • 1000mm Length — This extended 1-metre length provides significant reach, allowing you to position your receiver and servos exactly where you need them without compromising on cable length, which is essential for larger RC models and complex control configurations.
  • Standard Connector Type — The standard Futaba connector ensures full compatibility with Futaba receivers and the vast majority of servo-controlled components in the RC hobby, making this a versatile addition to your spare parts collection.
  • Genuine Futaba Quality — Manufactured by Futaba, the company that established the modern RC hobby in 1962, this extension lead meets the same rigorous quality standards that have made Futaba servos and receivers trusted by competition drivers and casual RC enthusiasts alike across the UK.
  • Reliable Signal Transmission — The extension lead is constructed to maintain clean servo signal transmission over its full 1000mm length, ensuring that your servo commands reach their destination without degradation or interference that could affect control precision.
  • Durable Construction — Built to withstand the demands of active RC use, whether you're bashing through rough terrain, competing in races, or flying in challenging conditions, this extension lead is engineered for longevity and reliability.
  • Ready to Use — Simply plug the extension lead into your receiver and servo connectors and you're ready to extend your reach; no modifications, programming or setup required.

Technical Performance

The Futaba 1000mm Standard Extension Lead represents a straightforward but essential engineering solution for RC hobbyists. At one metre in length, it provides the reach necessary for complex RC model configurations whilst maintaining signal integrity throughout its length. The standard connector type used by Futaba ensures compatibility with a huge range of receiver types and servo models within the Futaba ecosystem, as well as with many third-party components that utilise the same connector standard. This extension lead is constructed from quality materials designed to withstand both the electrical demands of servo control systems and the physical stresses of active RC use, whether you're running a brushless RC car with sophisticated multi-servo control, flying an RC aircraft with extended servo runs, or controlling a waterproof RC boat. The engineering ensures consistent performance whether you're using modern lithium-based battery systems or traditional NiMH batteries. With over 50 years of experience as the official UK and Ireland Futaba distributor, J Perkins has ensured that this accessory meets the standards expected by RC competitors and enthusiasts throughout the UK and Europe.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What length extension leads does Futaba offer? — Futaba produces extension leads in multiple lengths to suit different requirements. Standard extension leads are available in 100mm, 200mm, 400mm, 500mm and 1000mm lengths, with heavy duty versions also available in these same sizes. There are also extreme duty extension leads for maximum durability, and specialist leads for other applications like servo Y-leads and trainer leads. The 1000mm size offers maximum reach for larger RC models or complex installations.
  • Will this extension lead work with my Futaba receiver? — Yes, the Futaba 1000mm Standard Extension Lead features the standard Futaba connector and will work with any Futaba receiver that uses standard connectors. It's also compatible with many servo-controlled components from other manufacturers that use the same standard connector type, making it a versatile accessory for your RC hobby setup.
  • Can I use this extension lead in waterproof RC boats? — The standard extension lead is a general-purpose component suitable for use in various RC applications including cars, trucks, planes and boats. However, if you're using it in a waterproof or water-resistant RC model, you should ensure that the connector itself is properly sealed or protected from water ingress, as the connector is not inherently waterproof. For maximum durability in wet environments, consider Futaba's extreme duty or heavy duty extension leads which may offer enhanced durability.
  • How many extension leads might I need? — The number of extension leads you need depends on your specific RC model and servo configuration. Many RC enthusiasts keep several different lengths in their spare parts collection so they can accommodate various build scenarios. With 1000mm being the longest standard length, having one available means you're prepared for setups requiring maximum reach between receiver and servo components.
  • What is the difference between standard, heavy duty and extreme duty extension leads? — Futaba offers three versions of extension leads. The standard extension lead (this model) is the general-purpose option suitable for typical RC applications. The heavy duty version provides enhanced durability and thicker wire gauge for more demanding use. The extreme duty extension lead offers maximum durability and protection for the most challenging applications. The standard version is ideal for most RC hobbyists, whilst the heavier versions are preferred by competition drivers or those running high-current servo systems.
