- 4096-Step Precision with 0.25µs Resolution — Each control input is sampled with extraordinary precision, delivering 4096 discrete steps per channel with 0.25 microsecond per section resolution. This translates directly to buttery-smooth servo movement and ultra-responsive handling in your RC car, truck, or buggy.
- Ultralight 3.4g Package — Weighing just 3.4 grams, the R6DS is exceptionally light for its capabilities. This minimal weight is crucial for maintaining your vehicle's optimal weight distribution and keeping overall mass down, particularly important in competitive racing or scale crawlers.
- Compact Physical Dimensions — At 25mm long by 15mm wide, the R6DS occupies minimal space in your RC vehicle, making installation straightforward even in vehicles with tight electronics bays or limited room for radio equipment.
- Wide Operating Voltage Range (4.8–6V) — The receiver operates reliably from 4.8 to 6 volts, making it compatible with standard LiPo battery systems (1S through 2S packs are common in RC vehicles) and traditional NiMH battery configurations. This voltage flexibility simplifies power management in your setup.
- Low Power Draw (38–45mA) — Drawing between 38 and 45 milliamps at 5 volts under normal operating conditions, the R6DS consumes minimal battery power, ensuring your receiver stays active throughout extended driving sessions without draining your power pack.
- 600-Metre Air Range — The receiver maintains reliable communication with your transmitter at distances up to 600 metres in open air conditions, providing substantial operating distance for field use, track racing, or exploring large outdoor spaces with your RC model.
- Compatible with RadioLink AT9, AT9S, AT10, and AT10II Transmitters — The R6DS is engineered to pair seamlessly with RadioLink's popular transmitter range, ensuring confirmed compatibility and straightforward setup if you're already invested in the RadioLink ecosystem.
Technical Performance
The RadioLink R6DS represents a careful balance between capability and simplicity. With 4096-step precision delivering 0.25-microsecond resolution per section, this receiver offers performance that rivals receivers twice its size and weight. The dual output architecture — offering both S-Bus/PPM and PWM channels — demonstrates RadioLink's commitment to real-world usability; you're not locked into a single control philosophy but instead gain flexibility to build your RC car setup exactly as you require. The RL-Advanced protocol operates on the globally-recognised 2.4GHz band, providing the interference-free operation essential in today's crowded RF environment where dozens of RC vehicles, drones, and wireless devices might operate simultaneously at a UK track or flying field. The receiver's operating specifications are tight: it demands 4.8–6V supply voltage and draws a modest 38–45mA at 5V, making it suitable for integration into modest battery systems without excessive voltage regulation requirements. Build quality reflects RadioLink's engineering heritage, with the entire unit housed in a sealed, compact package measuring just 25 by 15 millimetres. The 3.4-gram mass places it among the lightest receivers available, critical for weight-sensitive applications where every gram counts towards performance and handling characteristics. The 600-metre control range provides genuine operational distance, tested in open-air conditions and sufficient for virtually all RC hobby applications from competitive racing to recreational bashing.
