Overview

The RadioLink R6F 6-Channel Surface Receiver is a compact and lightweight solution designed specifically for RC hobbyists who demand precision control in a space-conscious package. Whether you're building a competitive RC car, a responsive RC truck, or a versatile RC boat, the R6F delivers reliable six-channel control without compromising on performance or requiring excessive installation space. This receiver represents an excellent choice for UK RC enthusiasts looking to streamline their builds whilst maintaining full access to auxiliary functions available on their transmitter system.

Built with a focus on practical engineering, the RadioLink R6F is engineered for surface RC applications where every millimetre of space matters. The small footprint and low profile design make it ideal for tidy installations in tight RC chassis, radio boxes, and chassis frames where weight savings and compact positioning are essential. At just 30 grams, this receiver adds minimal weight to your model whilst delivering the control authority you need for responsive, competitive racing or recreational bashings across tarmac, carpet, and grass surfaces.

The six-channel capability means you have complete control over your primary drive systems plus four additional auxiliary functions, allowing you to operate accessories, activate special features, and expand your model's functionality beyond basic forward, reverse and steering. For anyone serious about their RC hobby in the UK, the RadioLink R6F represents intelligent design that respects both your build requirements and your budget.

Key Features

  • Six-Channel Control — The receiver provides six independent channels of control, giving you complete command over primary functions like steering and throttle whilst simultaneously managing four auxiliary channels for accessories, lights, or special features. This level of control is essential for competitive racing and advanced model operation.
  • Compact Form Factor — Measuring just 35mm in length, 20mm in width, and 13mm in height, the R6F is specifically designed for space-limited surface installations where traditional larger receivers simply won't fit. This compact design ensures you can integrate the receiver into tight engine bays, radio boxes, and chassis cavities without compromise.
  • Lightweight Construction — At only 30 grams, the receiver adds virtually no weight penalty to your RC model, making it perfect for weight-conscious builds where every gram impacts acceleration, handling, and battery runtime. This is particularly important for RC cars and RC trucks where mass distribution directly affects performance.
  • 2.4GHz Digital Frequency — Operating on the 2.4GHz frequency band, the R6F benefits from modern digital transmission technology that offers excellent range, minimal interference from other users, and reliable signal stability in crowded RC venues and at racing events across the UK.
  • Surface RC Compatibility — The receiver is purpose-built for surface RC applications including cars, trucks, buggies and boats, making it the ideal choice for ground-based racing, crawling, bashing, and water-based RC hobbies without the complexity of aircraft-specific features.
  • Neat Wiring Integration — The compact design and efficient layout help keep your internal wiring tidy and organised, reducing the risk of interference, improving serviceability, and creating a professional appearance in your model's internal layout.
  • Part Number Identification — The specific part number RLKR061000 ensures you can easily identify this exact unit for future spare parts or upgrades, helping you maintain consistency across multiple models or facilitate future maintenance.

Technical Performance

The RadioLink R6F delivers reliable performance engineered for the demands of modern RC surface racing and recreational use. The receiver operates on 2.4GHz digital frequency, a standard that has become the backbone of contemporary RC control systems, offering superior range and interference rejection compared to older frequency bands. With six channels of independent control delivered through modern digital transmission, you'll experience responsive handling and precise auxiliary control whether you're competing in time trials or enjoying casual weekend bashing. The receiver's construction prioritises reliability and durability, with build quality suitable for the vibrations, impacts and environmental stresses typical of surface RC models. The compact dimensions of 35mm length, 20mm width and 13mm height are achievable through efficient engineering that doesn't sacrifice performance or durability. The 30-gram weight makes it one of the lightest options available in the six-channel receiver category, making it particularly attractive for performance-focused builders who understand that reduced receiver mass contributes to improved power-to-weight ratios, faster acceleration and better overall handling characteristics in competitive RC cars and trucks. This receiver has been designed to work seamlessly with RadioLink transmitter systems, and the Q&A feedback indicates this is the version two specification, which includes the enhanced capability to handle variable voltage loads at both 4.8V and 10V DC, providing compatibility with a broader range of servo specifications and allowing flexibility in your build approach.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Is the RadioLink R6F compatible with my RadioLink AT10II transmitter? — The RadioLink R6F is not the recommended receiver for the AT10II transmitter system. RadioLink produce specific receiver recommendations for each transmitter model, and you should verify compatibility with RadioLink's official documentation or contact our team before purchasing to ensure the receiver matches your particular transmitter unit.
  • Will the R6F work with my old RadioLink T4EU 24GHz transmitter? — No, the R6F is not compatible with the older T4EU transmitter that operates on the 24GHz frequency band. The R6F operates exclusively on 2.4GHz digital frequency, which is fundamentally different from the legacy 24GHz band used by older transmitter models. If you have a T4EU, you would need to upgrade to a modern 2.4GHz transmitter system for compatibility with current receivers like the R6F.
  • What voltage does the R6F support? — The RadioLink R6F version 2 specification supports both 4.8V DC and 10V DC operation, giving you flexibility in servo selection and power management across different servo types and configurations in your RC build.
  • Is the RadioLink R6F suitable for beginners? — Yes, the R6F is suitable for beginners who are operating compatible RadioLink transmitter systems. However, you must ensure your transmitter is compatible before purchase. The receiver itself is straightforward to install given its compact size and clear channel layout. Beginners working with RadioLink systems will find it easy to integrate into their builds.
  • What makes the R6F different from other six-channel receivers? — The primary differentiator is the R6F's exceptionally compact dimensions combined with its lightweight 30-gram construction. If you're building a model with tight space constraints or you're weight-conscious, the R6F's small footprint of just 35mm x 20mm x 13mm makes it stand out. The receiver is also specifically optimised for surface applications rather than being a generalised solution, which means it's engineered with the needs of RC car, truck and boat builders in mind.
  • How many servos can I connect to the R6F? — The R6F provides six independent channels, meaning you can connect up to six servos for complete control across steering, throttle and up to four auxiliary functions. Most builders will use three to four servos (steering, throttle, and auxiliary functions), but all six channels are available if your model design requires multiple servo control.
  • Is this receiver waterproof? — The source documentation does not specify waterproof ratings for the R6F. If you're planning to use this receiver in a boat or in wet conditions, we recommend contacting our team before purchase to confirm suitability for your specific application.
