The soft case design protects the internal cells whilst maintaining flexibility, and the Deans (HCT) connector ensures secure, reliable contact with compatible equipment on your ready to run RC setup or custom build.
RC Model Shop stocks the Radient LiPo range because we understand what UK RC enthusiasts need: quality batteries that perform consistently, connectors that fit industry-standard models, and pricing that reflects genuine value. The RDNB18004S50H represents that commitment to quality and affordability in equal measure.
Key Features
- 50C Discharge Rating — This high discharge rate means the battery can deliver substantial current output for aggressive acceleration and maximum power delivery during demanding driving situations, making it ideal for racing or high-performance RC applications where punch matters.
- 4S Configuration (14.8V nominal) — The four-cell series arrangement provides the voltage sweet spot for many modern brushless motor setups, delivering more power than 3S systems whilst remaining manageable for most RC car UK platforms without requiring specialist controllers.
- 1800mAh Capacity — This capacity strikes an excellent balance between extended runtime for recreational driving and lightweight form factor for vehicles where battery weight impacts handling characteristics and performance envelope.
- Deans (HCT) Connector — The Deans connector is one of the most widely recognised and utilised battery connectors in the RC hobby, ensuring compatibility with the vast majority of RC models, ESCs, and aftermarket charging systems available in the UK market.
- Compact Dimensions (106 x 34 x 28mm) — These modest physical dimensions make the RDNB18004S50H an excellent fit for space-constrained battery bays on smaller RC vehicles, allowing builders to maintain optimal weight distribution without sacrificing performance capability.
- Soft Case Construction — The protective soft case shields the internal lithium polymer cells from physical damage during transport, storage, and use, whilst remaining flexible enough to fit into tight spaces on your RC vehicle.
- Reliable Radient Brand Engineering — Radient batteries are recognised throughout the RC hobby for consistent performance, quality cell matching, and durability across countless charge cycles.
Technical Performance
The Radient LiPo 4S 1800mAh 14.8V 50C battery represents solid engineering principles applied to mid-capacity RC power systems. At a nominal voltage of 14.8V (4.2V per cell when fully charged), this battery suits brushless motor systems typically rated for 4S input, including direct-drive setups and geared configurations used in competitive RC racing and enthusiast-grade ready to run RC models. The 50C discharge rating translates to a peak continuous discharge current of 90 amps under ideal conditions, sufficient for aggressive driving styles and high-torque motor applications without thermal stress. The 1800mAh capacity ensures reasonable flight times or run times depending on your specific motor draw profile — typical runtime ranges from 8 to 15 minutes depending on driving intensity, vehicle weight, motor specifications, and terrain conditions. The soft case construction utilises proven material engineering that provides cell protection without adding excessive weight, and the parallel cell configuration ensures voltage stability across the discharge curve. Build quality throughout reflects Radient's reputation for manufacturing reliable battery packs that withstand the rigours of regular RC use, including impacts, vibration, and thermal cycling. The Deans (HCT) connector features gold-plated contacts that resist oxidation and maintain low-resistance connections even after repeated charge-discharge cycles, critical for maintaining performance and minimising power loss during delivery to your ESC and motor system.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What size RC cars and trucks will this battery power? — The RDNB18004S50H suits smaller to mid-size RC vehicles with battery bays measuring approximately 106 x 34 x 28mm or larger. This includes many 1/10 scale buggies, stadium trucks, short-course trucks, and touring cars designed for 4S LiPo power. Always verify your vehicle's manual or battery bay dimensions before purchasing to ensure proper fit and adequate space for safe operation.
- Is the Radient 4S 1800mAh battery suitable for beginners? — This battery is suitable for RC users aged 14 and above with knowledge of lithium polymer safety, charging protocols, and storage requirements. Beginners new to LiPo batteries should ensure they have an appropriate LiPo charger, a safe charging environment, and understanding of cell balance charging before operating this pack. If you're new to RC, we recommend consulting our team at RC Model Shop for guidance on safe LiPo handling and setup.
- What charger do I need for the Radient 4S LiPo? — You will need a dedicated LiPo-compatible battery charger capable of balancing four cells and delivering appropriate charge current for 1800mAh capacity. Most modern RC battery chargers support 4S LiPo charging, but always verify your charger manual states 4S compatibility before charging. The charger should ideally feature cell-balancing functionality to maintain individual cell health across multiple charge cycles.
- How long will this battery last in terms of charge cycles? — With proper care including balanced charging, appropriate discharge (never below 3V per cell), and storage at safe voltage levels (around 3.8-3.9V per cell when not in use), you can expect 300 to 500 full charge cycles or more from this battery. Lifespan depends heavily on user maintenance, charging practices, and driving intensity.
- What is the difference between the Deans connector and other RC battery connectors? — Deans (HCT) connectors feature a compact design with large contact surfaces, delivering low-resistance power transfer ideal for high-current applications. Deans connectors are extremely common throughout the RC hobby, particularly in competitive racing and mid-range ready to run RC vehicles. Alternative connectors include XT90, EC3, and JST-XH, each with different advantages, but Deans remains the most widely supported across the UK RC market.
- Can I use this battery in multiple vehicles? — Yes, provided each vehicle accepts 4S LiPo power and features a Deans (HCT) connector. Many RC enthusiasts maintain several vehicles and rotate batteries between them. Always inspect the battery for damage before each use, and store safely between sessions.
- What is the peak discharge current of this battery? — With a 50C rating applied to 1800mAh capacity, peak continuous discharge current reaches approximately 90 amps under ideal conditions. This substantial current delivery suits high-performance brushless motor systems and competitive racing applications requiring maximum acceleration and sustained power output.
