Technical Performance
The Radient EC2 Female (Battery End) connectors are engineered to the exacting standards required for reliable RC battery connections. EC2 connectors utilise a polarised design that ensures correct orientation during connection, preventing the dangerous scenario of reverse polarity which could cause catastrophic damage to your ESC, motor or other electronic components. The female connectors in this pack are specifically designed for battery-side termination, meaning they connect to the positive and negative wire leads from your battery pack. The connectors feature gold-plated contact points that provide excellent electrical conductivity and resist oxidation and corrosion, ensuring long-term reliability even with frequent use and connection cycling. Each connector in the five-piece pack is individually manufactured to consistent tolerances, guaranteeing proper fit and security when mated with standard EC2 male connectors. The compact design keeps weight minimal, which is crucial for RC applications where every gram affects performance. These connectors work with all standard EC2-compatible batteries and ESCs commonly found in 1/10 scale and larger RC cars, trucks, buggies and other RC vehicles available throughout the UK hobby market.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What is an EC2 connector and why do I need it? — EC2 connectors are standardised battery connectors widely used throughout the RC hobby for their secure, polarised design. The female connectors are used on the battery side, connecting to the wiring of your LiPo battery pack. If your current connectors are damaged, corroded or worn, replacing them with these Radient EC2 female connectors restores reliable power delivery to your RC car, truck or other model.
- Are these connectors suitable for beginners? — These connectors are recommended for users aged 14 and above with basic soldering or assembly skills. If you're completely new to soldering, you may want to start with a basic soldering tutorial or seek assistance from an experienced RC enthusiast at your local hobby shop before attempting to assemble these connectors onto battery leads.
- How many connectors do I get in this pack? — This pack contains exactly five individual EC2 female connectors, giving you enough spares to repair multiple battery leads or create backup battery connections for your RC collection.
- Will these connectors work with my existing battery and ESC? — These EC2 female connectors work with any RC battery pack and ESC that uses the standard EC2 connector format. This includes most mainstream EC2-compatible systems used in 1/10 scale and larger RC cars and trucks across the UK hobby market, but you should check your equipment's documentation to confirm EC2 compatibility before purchasing.
- How do I install these connectors on my battery? — EC2 connectors require basic soldering skills to attach to battery wires. You'll need a soldering iron, solder, and typically a small amount of heat-shrink tubing. Many online tutorials and your local RC shop staff can guide you through the process if you're unsure.
- Why is the gold plating important? — The gold-plated contacts on these Radient connectors resist oxidation and corrosion, ensuring reliable electrical contact even after repeated connection cycles. This maintains low resistance in the circuit, allowing maximum power delivery to your motor and preventing voltage drop that could reduce performance.
