Overview

The Radient XT30 Male including Heat Shrink (ESC End) (5 pcs) RDNAC010020 is an essential connector set for RC hobbyists and enthusiasts who demand neat, reliable terminations in their electric RC car and RC truck setups. Whether you're building a custom RC buggy, a high-performance RC monster truck, or any brushless RC vehicle that requires XT30 connections, this connector pack offers the professional-grade quality you need. Supplied as a convenient pack of five connectors with heat shrink included, this product is designed specifically for ESC (Electronic Speed Controller) end applications, making it ideal for builders who want clean, tidy wiring harnesses and secure electrical connections that won't let you down during intense bashings or competition racing.

XT30 connectors have become the standard choice for mid-range RC applications across the UK and worldwide, offering an excellent balance between current capacity and compact size. The Radient brand is recognised for producing reliable connectors and accessories that meet the exacting standards of serious RC enthusiasts. This pack is perfect whether you're setting up a new RC car from scratch, replacing worn connectors on an existing vehicle, or building multiple RC setups. The inclusion of heat shrink in the pack means you can create a professional-looking finish with proper insulation and protection against moisture and debris.

At RC Model Shop, we stock genuine Radient products because we understand that quality connectors are not something to compromise on. Poor connections can lead to power loss, unpredictable vehicle behaviour, and potential damage to expensive RC electronics. With the Radient XT30 Male connectors, you're investing in reliability and peace of mind for your RC hobby, whether you're running a 2WD RC buggy on the local track or a rugged 4WD RC crawler across challenging terrain.

Key Features

  • XT30 Male Connectors — The XT30 standard is widely used across RC car and RC truck applications because it provides reliable power transfer with excellent contact resistance, making it suitable for brushless ESC applications that demand consistent electrical delivery without voltage drop.
  • ESC End Configuration — These connectors are specifically designed for the ESC end of your power harness, meaning they are pre-configured with the correct polarity and specifications to mate perfectly with your Electronic Speed Controller without requiring modification or guesswork.
  • Heat Shrink Included — The pack includes heat shrink tubing that allows you to create a professional, weatherproof finish around your connector soldering points, protecting against short circuits, moisture ingress and accidental contact with other metal components inside your RC vehicle's chassis.
  • Pack of Five — With five complete connector sets included, you have enough spares for multiple RC builds, repairs, or to replace connectors as they age, ensuring you always have a backup when working on several RC cars or trucks simultaneously.
  • Compact Design — The XT30 form factor is notably smaller and lighter than larger connector options, making it ideal for compact RC electronics bays and weight-critical RC models where every gram matters for performance and handling.
  • Reliable Contact Surfaces — Radient connectors feature gold-plated contact surfaces that resist corrosion and oxidation, maintaining excellent electrical continuity even after repeated connection cycles, which is essential for RC models that are transported, stored and connected regularly.

Technical Performance

The Radient XT30 Male connectors represent solid engineering designed specifically for the RC car and RC truck community's needs. These connectors are engineered to handle the current demands of modern brushless RC systems, providing secure mating with corresponding female XT30 connectors found on ESCs from all major manufacturers. The male configuration makes these connectors ideal for the ESC end of your battery harness, where they will connect to the female connectors integrated into your speed controller. The inclusion of heat shrink tubing allows you to achieve professional insulation standards, protecting your solder joints from physical damage and environmental contamination. Build quality is paramount in connector design — poor connections can result in voltage sag that affects motor performance, inconsistent throttle response, and in worst cases, complete loss of power to your RC vehicle mid-run. Radient's attention to detail in manufacturing ensures that each connector provides consistent, repeatable contact resistance and reliable engagement with its mating connector. Whether you're running a fast 1/10 scale 2WD RC buggy or a heavy-duty 1/8 scale RC truck, these connectors deliver the electrical reliability you need. The XT30 standard has proven itself across countless RC setups globally, and these genuine Radient connectors uphold that reputation for dependability.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is an XT30 connector and why do I need it for my RC car or RC truck? — The XT30 is a standardised electrical connector commonly used in mid-range RC applications to connect your battery to your ESC (Electronic Speed Controller). It provides a secure, reliable connection with low electrical resistance, ensuring efficient power delivery to your brushless motor. If you're building a custom RC setup or replacing damaged connectors, XT30 connectors are essential components that ensure safe, reliable operation.
  • Are these connectors suitable for beginners in the RC hobby? — Absolutely. While soldering connectors requires basic electrical skills and a soldering iron, the process is straightforward and there are countless guides available online. However, these connectors are perhaps better suited to builders with some soldering experience rather than complete beginners who might benefit from purchasing pre-assembled harnesses. That said, learning to solder and assemble connectors is a valuable skill in the RC hobby that opens up many customisation opportunities.
  • Can I use these XT30 Male connectors with any RC ESC? — XT30 connectors are a recognised standard, but it's essential to check your specific ESC's connector type before purchasing. Most modern mid-range brushless ESCs from brands like Hobbywing and others use XT30 or XT60 connectors. These male connectors are for the ESC end, so they will mate with female connectors integrated into compatible ESCs.
  • What battery does this connector work with? — The XT30 connector itself is a universal standard that works with any LiPo battery pack, LiIon battery, or other battery type equipped with corresponding female XT30 connectors. The connector type is independent of battery chemistry or voltage (2S, 3S, 4S, etc.) — it's simply the physical connector used to join battery and ESC together.
  • Do I need soldering skills to install these connectors? — Yes, these connectors require soldering to your battery and ESC wires. You'll need a soldering iron, solder suitable for electronics, and basic soldering technique. It's advisable to follow detailed soldering guides specific to XT30 connectors to ensure proper contact surface coverage and reliable joints that won't fail under the vibration and heat generated during RC operation.
  • Why does the pack include five connectors when I only need one or two? — The five-pack provides excellent value and allows you to build multiple RC setups, maintain spare connectors for repairs and replacements, and experiment with different configurations. Connectors are consumable items in the RC hobby, particularly if you frequently swap batteries or modify your setups, so having spares is practical and economical.
  • What is the heat shrink for and how do I use it? — The included heat shrink tubing provides insulation and weatherproofing around your solder joints after assembly. After soldering the connector wires together, you slide the heat shrink over the joint and apply gentle heat (using a heat gun or lighter) to shrink it tightly around the connection. This protects against short circuits, moisture ingress, and accidental contact with conductive surfaces inside your RC vehicle's chassis.
