Technical Performance
The Radient Deans Male connectors represent quality electrical engineering for RC applications requiring secure, consistent power delivery. The Deans connector standard has become recognised throughout the RC hobby for its reliable pin configuration and secure mechanical coupling, preventing accidental disconnection during operation. These male plugs are engineered to mate securely with female Deans receptacles found on most modern speed controllers in electric RC cars, from casual weekend bashers to competitive racing vehicles. The included protective caps provide essential environmental protection, preventing corrosion and contamination of the connector pins whilst the vehicle is stored or transported. The Amass range of connectors is specified for use across a broad spectrum of RC applications, from low-current servo circuits to high-current ESC power systems. The gold or nickel-plated contact surfaces ensure minimal voltage drop and maximum conductivity, critical for maintaining performance in brushless RC vehicles where power efficiency directly impacts runtime and acceleration. Whether you're building a new ready to run RC setup or maintaining an existing collection, these connectors deliver the reliability and performance expected by UK RC enthusiasts.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What is a Deans male connector and why do I need it for my RC car? — A Deans male connector is a standardised electrical plug used throughout the RC hobby to connect your speed controller (ESC) to the power distribution system in your RC vehicle. The male version plugs into a female receptacle on your ESC, ensuring secure power delivery whilst the protective caps prevent accidental shorts and corrosion during storage.
- Are these connectors suitable for all types of RC vehicles? — Yes, the Deans connector format is a recognised standard used across electric RC cars, buggies, trucks, and crawlers. These male plugs will work with any ESC featuring a female Deans receptacle, making them universally compatible across most modern electric RC vehicles in the UK market.
- What is the difference between male and female Deans connectors? — The male Deans connector (this product) features the protruding pins and plugs into the female receptacle found on your speed controller. Female connectors have the receiving socket. You need male connectors for the ESC end of your wiring, which this pack provides.
- Can I use these connectors with brushless RC systems? — Absolutely. These Deans male connectors are fully compatible with brushless speed controllers and brushless RC vehicles. The Amass engineering and contact quality support the high-current demands of modern brushless RC cars and trucks.
- Why would I need five connectors in one pack? — Having multiple connectors on hand is essential for RC hobbyists. You might need spares when building multiple vehicles, replacements if connectors become damaged or corroded, or extras for experimenting with different ESC configurations. Five connectors gives you excellent value and ensures you're never without spares.
- Are these connectors suitable for beginners? — Yes, whilst these are connector components rather than complete vehicles, they are suitable for hobbyists aged 14+ who are learning to build or repair their RC vehicles. They form part of standard electrical assembly that most RC enthusiasts encounter.
- What protective measures do the cap ends provide? — The protective caps cover the connector pins, preventing dust and debris from entering the connector during storage or transport. This protection helps maintain electrical cleanliness and prevents corrosion of the contact surfaces, extending connector lifespan.
