Whether you're building a new RC car from scratch, upgrading your RC truck's electronics, or maintaining your existing RC hobby equipment, these heat shrink tubes provide a professional, protective finish that keeps your work organised and protected. Supplied as a pack of eight individual tubes, each measuring precisely 2.3mm in diameter and 100mm in length (3/32 x 4 inches), this product is ideal for small-diameter wiring applications across all types of RC vehicles and projects.
Heat shrink tubing is a critical component in RC model building and maintenance, offering both functional protection and aesthetic appeal. When applied with gentle heat, these tubes contract snugly around wires, soldered joints and small connectors, creating a waterproof seal that protects against moisture, dust and accidental contact. For RC hobbyists in the UK working on everything from 1/10 scale RC buggies to larger crawler and truck builds, having quality heat shrink tubing on hand is essential. The compact 2.3mm size makes these tubes perfect for the delicate wiring found in modern RC electronics, where space is limited and precision is paramount.
Radient is a recognised brand trusted by RC modellers across the UK and internationally, known for delivering reliable, quality components that enhance the longevity and appearance of RC builds. These heat shrink tubes represent excellent value at just £0.94, making them an affordable investment in the professional presentation and durability of your RC models. Whether you're a beginner learning to solder your first RC connectors, an experienced basher maintaining fleet vehicles, or a competition-level racer building precision equipment, this 8-piece pack ensures you always have spare tubing available when you need it.

- Radient Quality Assurance — Manufactured by Radient, a trusted name in RC components, these tubes meet the quality standards expected by serious hobbyists and are widely used in builds throughout the UK RC community and beyond.
Technical Performance
The Radient Heat Shrink Tubing RDNA0613 represents a fundamental yet critical component in RC electrical work, manufactured to precise specifications that ensure reliable performance across countless applications. The 2.3mm diameter has been carefully selected to accommodate the small-gauge wiring commonly used in modern RC electronics, from brushless motor connectors to delicate servo leads and battery cell balance taps. The 100mm length provides sufficient material for most applications whilst remaining compact and easy to store, and the material itself is engineered to shrink smoothly and uniformly when heat is applied, creating an airtight seal that protects connections from environmental contamination. Quality heat shrink tubing like this is non-negotiable for anyone serious about maintaining their RC equipment to the highest standards, whether you're running a high-performance 1/10 scale brushless RC buggy, a tough 1/8 scale nitro truck, or any other RC vehicle platform. The tubing's mechanical properties ensure it won't split, crack or separate under normal operating conditions, maintaining its protective integrity even as your RC vehicle experiences vibration, temperature fluctuations and the demanding environment of off-road RC driving. For UK-based RC enthusiasts who expect professional results and long-term durability from their builds, this heat shrink tubing delivers exceptional value and reliability.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What size heat shrink tubing do I need for my RC wiring? — The 2.3mm diameter of these Radient tubes is specifically designed for small-diameter wires, delicate soldered joints and miniature connectors found in modern RC electronics. If you're working with larger gauge wiring or bigger connectors, you may need a larger diameter, but for most small-scale RC applications from 1/10 through 1/6 scale, this 2.3mm size is ideal and perfectly matched to the typical wiring gauge used in RC motor controllers, servo leads and battery connectors.
- How do I apply heat shrink tubing to my RC connections? — Simply slide the tubing over your wire or connection, then apply gentle heat using a heat gun, soldering iron or even a lighter, working carefully to avoid scorching the surrounding components. The material will visibly contract around the connection within seconds, forming a tight seal. Always apply heat gradually and carefully, particularly around sensitive RC electronics, and allow the tubing to cool before handling.
- Is this suitable for beginners working on their first RC build? — Absolutely. Heat shrink tubing is one of the easiest ways for beginners to achieve a professional, protective finish on their electrical work. Unlike more complex soldering techniques or electrical assembly, applying heat shrink is straightforward and forgiving, making it ideal for RC newcomers to the UK hobby learning to work with small connectors and wiring for the first time.
- How many connections can I cover with one 8-piece pack? — With eight tubes of 100mm length available, you can cover multiple connections depending on how much material each requires. A single 100mm tube might cover 2-4 small connections if you cut the material accordingly, meaning this pack offers enough material for approximately 16-32 small applications, providing excellent value for maintenance work across several RC vehicles.
- Will this tubing protect my RC connections from water and moisture? — Yes. Heat shrink tubing creates an airtight seal around connections and wires, providing excellent protection against water ingress, moisture and environmental contamination. This is particularly valuable for RC vehicles used in wet conditions or for outdoor racing, helping to extend the operational life of your RC electronics and prevent corrosion on soldered joints and connectors.
- What is the difference between this 2.3mm tubing and larger diameter options? — The 2.3mm diameter is specifically engineered for small, delicate wiring and connections, whilst larger diameters (typically 3mm, 4mm, 5mm and beyond) are designed for heavier gauge wires and larger connectors. This particular size hits the sweet spot for most RC electronics applications, offering a perfect fit for the small-diameter wires used in brushless speed controllers, servo connections and battery management systems typical in RC cars and trucks throughout the UK.
