Overview

The Traxxas Bellcrank bushing, steering (1) (TRX7868) is an essential replacement component for RC enthusiasts who own Traxxas models equipped with aluminium steering bellcranks. This precision-engineered bushing is specifically designed for use with the #7746 aluminium steering bellcranks, making it a critical part for anyone serious about maintaining their RC car UK setup in peak condition. Whether you're a dedicated basher, a competitive racer, or simply someone who wants to keep their RC vehicle performing at its best, this replacement steering bushing is an important component to have on hand.

Steering systems in RC cars experience constant wear and tear from the demands of high-speed driving, cornering, and impact forces. Over time, the cam bushings that support the bellcrank mechanism can become worn or damaged, leading to compromised steering response and handling characteristics. The Traxxas Bellcrank bushing offers a cost-effective solution to restore your steering system to factory specifications, ensuring your RC car UK continues to deliver precise, responsive steering control. This single bushing replacement is compatible specifically with 7843-series aluminium bellcranks, giving you a direct upgrade path for worn components without needing to replace the entire steering assembly.

For RC enthusiasts across the UK, maintaining your RC vehicle with genuine Traxxas replacement parts ensures compatibility, reliability, and longevity. This steering bushing is manufactured to Traxxas' exacting standards and represents the same quality engineering found throughout their entire product range. Whether you're looking to repair a damaged steering system or simply conducting preventative maintenance on your RC car, this bellcrank bushing is the OEM-approved solution.

Key Features

  • Direct Replacement Component — This bushing is specifically engineered to replace worn or damaged cam bushings found in 7843-series aluminium bellcranks, ensuring perfect fit and function when installed correctly. Using the genuine Traxxas replacement part means you avoid compatibility issues and ensures your steering system operates exactly as the manufacturer intended.
  • Precision Engineering — Traxxas manufacture this bushing to exact specifications, providing smooth operation and consistent performance. The precision fit ensures minimal play in the steering linkage, which is critical for maintaining accurate steering control during driving.
  • Protects Your Servo Saver — By maintaining a properly functioning steering bellcrank assembly with quality bushings, you help protect your servo saver against excessive impacts and wear. A worn bushing can cause binding and increased forces on the servo mechanism, so replacing it proactively extends the life of your servo saver system and your steering servo itself.
  • Essential Maintenance Component — Regular inspection and replacement of steering bushings is part of responsible RC car maintenance. This single bushing allows you to address wear issues without replacing the entire bellcrank assembly, keeping your RC car UK running smoothly.
  • Compatible with #7746 Aluminium Steering Bellcranks — This bushing is specifically designed for the #7746 aluminium steering bellcranks, guaranteeing compatibility and correct performance when fitted to models using this steering system.

Technical Performance

The Traxxas Bellcrank bushing (TRX7868) is a precision replacement component manufactured from high-quality materials designed to withstand the constant rotational and lateral forces experienced in modern RC car UK steering systems. The bushing functions as a bearing surface within the bellcrank assembly, allowing smooth pivoting motion whilst maintaining structural integrity. Traxxas' engineering approach ensures that this replacement component matches the original factory specifications exactly, providing seamless integration with your existing 7843-series aluminium bellcrank. The bushing's design allows for smooth steering operation with minimal friction, which is essential for maintaining responsive steering feedback and preventing premature wear on your servo saver and servo motor. When installed correctly, this bushing restores your steering system to factory condition, eliminating any notchy or binding sensations that worn bushings can introduce. The material composition and precision manufacturing process used by Traxxas ensures durability under the demanding conditions of RC car use, whether you're engaging in casual bashing or competitive racing. Proper maintenance of steering components like this bushing contributes directly to the overall reliability and longevity of your RC vehicle.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Which Traxxas models use this steering bellcrank bushing? — This bushing is specifically designed for use with the #7746 aluminium steering bellcranks found in 7843-series bellcrank assemblies. Check your model's specifications or consult the Traxxas parts diagram to confirm your vehicle uses this steering system before purchasing.
  • How do I know when my steering bellcrank bushing needs replacing? — Common signs of worn steering bushings include notchy or jerky steering response, excessive play in the steering linkage, binding when turning, or visible damage to the bushing. If you notice any of these symptoms, inspect your bellcrank assembly and replace the bushing if worn or damaged.
  • Is this a difficult component to replace? — Replacing the bellcrank bushing requires some mechanical knowledge and the ability to disassemble your steering system. You'll need appropriate tools to remove the bellcrank assembly and install the new bushing. If you're not confident in your mechanical abilities, we recommend consulting the official Traxxas manual for your specific model or seeking assistance from an experienced RC enthusiast.
  • Will replacing this bushing improve my steering? — If your original bushing is worn or damaged, replacing it with a new Traxxas bushing will restore your steering system to factory specifications, providing smoother, more responsive steering control.
