The Traxxas Springs, Front (White) (progressive rate) (2 pcs) TRX7458 are essential replacement suspension components for serious RC enthusiasts in the UK who demand precision performance from their Traxxas vehicles. These white progressive-rate springs are specifically engineered for use with Traxxas Ultra Shocks, delivering a sophisticated balance between responsive handling and durability. Whether you're a competitive racer, weekend basher, or dedicated hobbyist looking to fine-tune your RC car setup, these springs represent genuine Traxxas engineering designed to keep your suspension performing at its peak.

RC car suspension tuning is one of the most effective ways to improve handling characteristics and overall performance on any terrain, from smooth tarmac to rough off-road courses. These progressive springs are custom-wound by Traxxas to provide precisely calibrated performance that responds to the way you drive your RC model. As a trusted RC retailer in the UK, we understand that serious RC enthusiasts demand OEM quality components, and these Traxxas springs deliver exactly that. Available as a pair, they offer excellent value for anyone maintaining or upgrading their Traxxas RC vehicle collection.

The white colour coding indicates the spring rate, making it easy to identify these components within your spares box and ensuring you select the correct springs for your specific model. If you're shopping for RC car parts in the UK or looking to upgrade your suspension setup, these Traxxas springs are a direct fit replacement that will restore your vehicle to factory performance standards or allow you to experiment with suspension tuning for different driving conditions.

Key Features

  • Progressive-rate design — These springs feature a progressive rate curve that provides responsive control for small bumps whilst maintaining a progressively stiffer rate to absorb harder impacts, giving you the best of both worlds in suspension performance across varied terrain.
  • Custom-wound precision — Each spring is custom-wound by Traxxas to exact specifications, ensuring consistent performance and reliability across both springs in the pair, which is essential for balanced handling characteristics in your RC car.
  • Compatible with Traxxas Ultra Shocks — These springs are specifically designed for use with Traxxas Ultra Shocks, ensuring perfect fitment and optimal performance when installed on compatible Traxxas vehicles.
  • White colour coding — The white finish serves as a visual identifier of the spring rate, making it simple to identify and select the correct springs when managing multiple suspension components or experimenting with different setups.
  • Sold as a pair — You receive two springs in this package, providing the front suspension components needed to maintain proper vehicle balance and handling characteristics.
  • OEM Traxxas quality — As genuine Traxxas components, these springs meet the same exacting manufacturing standards as the springs supplied with new Traxxas vehicles, ensuring reliability and performance you can trust.
  • Essential maintenance part — Springs are wear items that benefit from regular inspection and replacement as part of routine RC car maintenance, making these replacements essential for any serious RC enthusiast's toolkit.

Technical Performance

The suspension system is absolutely critical to RC car performance, and the springs are the foundation of that system. Traxxas has engineered these white progressive-rate springs through extensive testing and development to deliver characteristics that work across a range of driving conditions and skill levels. The progressive-rate design is a sophisticated engineering approach where the spring becomes progressively stiffer as it compresses, meaning that small bumps and undulations are handled with a relatively soft spring rate that allows the suspension to move freely and maintain traction, whilst larger impacts and hard compressions benefit from the stiffer spring rate that prevents bottoming out and protects your RC car's chassis and other components from damage. This is particularly valuable in UK driving conditions where terrain can vary from smooth garden surfaces to rough grass, loose gravel, and uneven outdoor racing circuits. The custom-wound nature of these springs means each individual spring is manufactured to precise tolerances, ensuring that the pair work together in harmony to maintain level ride height and balanced handling characteristics. For RC car enthusiasts in the UK managing their own maintenance and tuning, having genuine Traxxas replacement springs ensures you can return your vehicle to factory specifications or experiment with suspension geometry for different driving styles and conditions. These springs are designed to work with the Traxxas Ultra Shock system, which combines the spring with precision damping for comprehensive suspension tuning capability.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Are these springs compatible with all Traxxas vehicles? — These springs are specifically designed for use with Traxxas Ultra Shocks, so compatibility depends on whether your Traxxas model uses that shock system. Check your vehicle's manual or contact our expert team to confirm fitment for your specific model.
  • What does progressive-rate mean in RC car suspension? — Progressive-rate springs have a variable stiffness that increases as the spring compresses. This means initial compression feels relatively soft, allowing the suspension to respond quickly to small bumps and maintain traction, whilst harder impacts benefit from increasing stiffness that prevents bottoming out and protects your RC car from damage.
  • Why would I need to replace the springs on my RC car? — Springs are subject to wear over time and can lose their original characteristics with heavy use, racing, or exposure to UV light. Replacing worn springs restores your vehicle to factory performance specifications and is part of regular RC car maintenance.
  • How do I know if my springs need replacing? — Signs that springs may need replacement include reduced ride height, inconsistent handling characteristics, or visible signs of wear or damage to the spring coils. Springs should also be replaced if you're experiencing bottoming out during normal driving.
  • Can I use these springs to adjust my RC car's handling? — Yes, suspension tuning through spring selection is a recognised method for adjusting ride height, handling characteristics, and performance on different terrains. Traxxas produces springs in various colours indicating different rates, allowing enthusiasts to experiment with suspension setup.
  • What is the white colour indicating? — The white colour is Traxxas's colour-coding system for suspension components, indicating a specific spring rate. This makes it easy to identify springs visually and ensures you select the correct springs when installing or replacing suspension components.
  • Are these genuine Traxxas parts? — Yes, these are authentic OEM Traxxas springs manufactured to the same specifications as springs supplied with new Traxxas vehicles, ensuring quality and performance reliability.
  • How long do RC car springs typically last? — Suspension springs can last for extended periods with normal use, but durability depends on driving intensity, terrain type, and maintenance practices. Regular inspection is recommended, and replacement is suggested when performance characteristics decline or damage becomes visible.
