Overview
The Traxxas Servo Saver TRX6944 is an essential replacement part for RC enthusiasts maintaining and upgrading their Traxxas RC vehicles. Whether you're a seasoned RC car UK competitor or a weekend basher enjoying the latest ready to run RC models, servo savers are critical components that protect your steering servo from damage caused by impacts and crashes. This genuine Traxxas servo saver is engineered to absorb shock and prevent costly servo damage, making it an invaluable addition to any RC hobbyist's spare parts collection.
Designed as a direct replacement for worn or damaged servo savers, the TRX6944 maintains the precision steering response your RC model demands whilst providing that crucial protection during aggressive driving. RC models equipped with servo savers deliver more predictable handling characteristics and extended component lifespan, particularly important if you're investing in quality brushless RC systems. The servo saver works by allowing slight movement between the servo horn and the linkage, absorbing impact forces that would otherwise transfer directly to your servo's internal gears.
As an authorised Traxxas retailer, RC Model Shop stocks genuine OEM parts like the TRX6944 to keep your RC vehicles running at their peak. Whether you're replacing a damaged servo saver after an off-road adventure or building a new RC setup from the ground up, this genuine Traxxas component ensures compatibility and reliable performance with your existing Traxxas RC car or truck.
Key Features
- Genuine Traxxas OEM Component — This is an authentic Traxxas part manufactured to original specifications, ensuring perfect fitment and compatibility with your Traxxas RC models without any guesswork or fitment issues.
- 25-Tooth Servo Horn Configuration — The 25-tooth design provides the optimal balance between servo throw and mechanical advantage, delivering responsive steering control whilst maintaining protection against impact damage to your RC servo.
- Servo Saver Function — This component acts as a safety mechanism that absorbs shock and impact forces before they reach your servo, significantly extending the lifespan of your steering servo and reducing repair costs from crashes and collisions.
- Durable Plastic Construction — Engineered from tough plastic material that withstands the demands of RC driving, the TRX6944 is designed to flex and absorb impacts rather than transferring all force directly to your servo gears.
- Easy Installation — As a direct Traxxas replacement part, the servo saver installs quickly onto compatible Traxxas servo horns, making it straightforward to maintain your RC vehicle without special tools or technical expertise.
Technical Performance
The Traxxas Servo Saver TRX6944 represents precision engineering designed specifically to protect the steering servos found in Traxxas RC vehicles. Constructed from engineered plastic material, the servo saver operates on the principle of controlled compliance, allowing fractional movement in the servo linkage to dissipate shock loads that would otherwise cause immediate damage to servo gears and internal components. This is particularly important in modern RC cars and trucks where brushless powertrains deliver instant torque and acceleration, creating sudden steering demands that can stress traditional servo installations. The 25-tooth configuration provides an ideal lever arm for steering control whilst maintaining the protective characteristics that servo savers are engineered to deliver. Whether you're running aggressive high-speed RC driving sessions or navigating technical rock-crawling terrain with your brushless RC vehicle, this component works invisibly in the background to extend servo lifespan and reduce your overall maintenance costs and downtime.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What is a servo saver and why does my RC car need one? — A servo saver is a mechanical component that sits between your servo and the steering linkage, designed to absorb impact and shock forces. When your RC vehicle hits an obstacle or experiences a sudden steering load, the servo saver flexes slightly and dissipates that energy rather than transferring it directly to your servo's internal gears. This protection is crucial for maintaining servo longevity and preventing expensive servo replacements after crashes.
- Is the Traxxas Servo Saver TRX6944 compatible with all Traxxas RC models? — The TRX6944 is designed as a servo saver replacement for Traxxas vehicles that use 25-tooth servo horn configurations. Compatibility depends on your specific Traxxas model, so we recommend checking your vehicle's manual or contacting our team to confirm whether this part suits your RC car or truck.
- How often should I replace my servo saver? — Servo savers are wear items that gradually degrade from repeated impact and flexing. You should inspect your servo saver regularly during routine maintenance and replace it if you notice cracks, permanent deformation, or if it's no longer providing the protective flex it should. Aggressive driving or frequent crashes will necessitate more frequent replacement than casual weekend driving.
- What are the advantages of genuine Traxxas parts over aftermarket alternatives? — Genuine OEM Traxxas parts like the TRX6944 are engineered and tested specifically for your vehicle, guaranteeing perfect fitment and performance characteristics. Aftermarket parts may vary in material composition, tooth count, and protective qualities. Using genuine Traxxas servo savers ensures you receive the protection and handling balance Traxxas engineers designed into your RC vehicle.
- Can I use this servo saver on other RC brands? — Whilst the physical design might appear similar to servo savers from other manufacturers, we recommend using genuine Traxxas parts on Traxxas vehicles. Different manufacturers design their linkage systems and servo throw specifications around their own servo savers, so cross-brand compatibility is not guaranteed and may result in poor steering response or inadequate protection.
