Overview
The Traxxas Push rod (Steel) (assembled with rod ends) (2 pcs) TRX5318 is an essential suspension component for RC enthusiasts looking to upgrade or maintain their Traxxas vehicles. These steel pushrods come fully assembled with rod ends, making installation straightforward for both seasoned RC car UK hobbyists and those new to the sport. Whether you're maintaining your existing setup or customising your RC suspension geometry, these pushrods offer reliability and durability that Traxxas is renowned for across their entire range of RC products.
Designed specifically for use with long-travel suspension systems or the #5357 progressive-1 rocker arms, these pushrods are engineered to handle the demands of aggressive off-road driving, whether you're bashing through rough terrain or competing on the track. Steel construction provides superior strength and longevity compared to plastic alternatives, ensuring your suspension operates at peak performance over extended periods. For anyone running a Traxxas RC truck, buggy, or crawler, having quality replacement pushrods on hand is a wise investment in maintaining optimal handling and responsiveness.
RC Model Shop stocks genuine Traxxas suspension spares that meet original equipment manufacturer specifications. This particular component is ideal for bashers, racers, and weekend drivers who demand reliable spare parts that won't compromise their vehicle's performance. With a competitive price point and genuine product guarantee, upgrading or replacing your pushrods has never been more accessible to the UK RC community.
Key Features
- Steel Construction — These pushrods are manufactured from steel rather than plastic, providing substantially greater strength, durability, and resistance to bending or breaking under the stresses of aggressive driving or high-impact terrain.
- Pre-Assembled with Rod Ends — Each pushrod arrives fully assembled with rod ends already installed, eliminating the need for additional assembly work and ensuring proper fitment and alignment from the moment you receive them.
- Compatible with Long-Travel Suspension — Specifically engineered for use with long-travel suspension setups, these pushrods maintain correct geometry and responsiveness across the full range of suspension travel, keeping your vehicle handling predictably at all times.
- Compatible with #5357 Progressive-1 Rocker Arms — These pushrods are designed to work seamlessly with Traxxas's progressive-1 rocker arm system, providing the exact geometry and leverage curves needed for optimal suspension performance.
- Genuine Traxxas Component — As an official Traxxas spare part, these pushrods meet exacting quality standards and are engineered to original specifications, ensuring they function perfectly within the broader Traxxas suspension architecture.
- Pair Included — You receive two pushrods in this package, providing a complete set for front or rear suspension replacement without requiring multiple orders.
Technical Performance
The Traxxas TRX5318 pushrods represent a fundamental yet critical component in RC vehicle suspension engineering. Steel construction delivers measurably superior performance characteristics compared to plastic alternatives commonly found in budget RC options. The pre-assembled rod ends ensure precise fitment and eliminate alignment issues that can arise from field assembly. These pushrods excel in long-travel suspension configurations where extended suspension articulation demands components that can withstand repeated stress cycles without fatigue failure. When paired with the #5357 progressive-1 rocker arms, they create a suspension geometry that provides progressive resistance, meaning the suspension feels firm during initial compression but becomes progressively stiffer as it compresses further—ideal for maintaining control over rough terrain whilst absorbing initial impacts smoothly. The material choice of steel ensures that whether you're driving an RC buggy, short-course truck, monster truck, or rock crawler, your suspension maintains consistent performance across varying terrain types and driving intensities. Proper suspension geometry is fundamental to RC handling characteristics, and quality pushrods like these are essential to maintaining the tuning adjustments and setup optimisations that competitive and enthusiast drivers invest time in perfecting.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Are these pushrods compatible with my Traxxas RC truck or buggy? — These pushrods are specifically designed for use with long-travel suspension systems or the #5357 progressive-1 rocker arms. Check your vehicle's suspension specification to confirm compatibility. If your Traxxas model uses long-travel suspension geometry, these pushrods will be a direct fit replacement or upgrade component.
- What is the advantage of steel pushrods compared to plastic ones? — Steel pushrods offer substantially greater durability, strength, and resistance to bending or failure compared to plastic alternatives. Under aggressive driving conditions, high-impact terrain, or racing applications, steel construction prevents the flexing and eventual breaking that can occur with plastic pushrods, ensuring your suspension maintains proper geometry and handling characteristics over extended use.
- Do these pushrods come pre-assembled? — Yes, these pushrods arrive fully assembled with rod ends already installed, meaning you can fit them directly to your vehicle without requiring additional assembly work or separate rod end components.
- What is a progressive-1 rocker arm and why does it matter? — Progressive-1 rocker arms are suspension components that alter the mechanical advantage of your suspension throughout its travel range. They provide a softer feel during initial compression (which helps absorb impacts smoothly) whilst becoming progressively stiffer as the suspension compresses further (which prevents bottoming out and maintains control). Using the correct pushrods ensures the geometry works as intended.
- Are these genuine Traxxas parts? — Yes, these are official Traxxas spare parts manufactured to original equipment specifications, ensuring perfect fitment and performance within Traxxas suspension systems.
- Why should I replace my pushrods? — Pushrods should be replaced if they become bent, develop cracks, or show signs of wear that affects suspension geometry. Regular replacement during maintenance intervals ensures your suspension continues to perform optimally, maintaining the handling characteristics you've tuned your vehicle for.
