Overview
Traxxas aluminium turnbuckles represent a premium upgrade for any serious RC car enthusiast looking to enhance their model's performance and adjustability. Whether you're a competitive racer fine-tuning your setup or a weekend basher wanting to improve handling characteristics, these pink-anodised camber links are an essential tune-up option for your Traxxas RC car UK collection. The brilliant anodised finish doesn't just look stunning — it's a mark of quality engineering that Traxxas is renowned for throughout the RC hobby community.
These turnbuckles are specifically designed to add both strength and adjustability to your Traxxas model, allowing you to dial in the perfect camber settings for your driving style and track conditions. The kit includes front and rear camber links in two different lengths — 39mm for the front and 49mm for the rear — giving you a complete solution for chassis tuning. Each set comes fully assembled with rod ends and hollow balls, so you can install them straight out of the box without additional assembly work. The included 5mm aluminium wrench is specifically engineered to prevent marring the anodised finish, protecting your investment while you make adjustments.
If you're serious about getting the best out of your ready to run RC car or custom build, upgrading to quality aftermarket turnbuckles like these is one of the most impactful modifications you can make. The ability to adjust camber angles precisely means you can optimise your chassis for different track surfaces, weather conditions, and driving techniques — something that can make the difference between winning and losing in competitive racing.
Key Features
- High-Grade 7075-T6 Aluminium Construction — These turnbuckles are manufactured from premium 7075-T6 aircraft-grade aluminium, which ensures increased bending stiffness and durability compared to lower-grade materials, making them ideal for both casual use and competitive racing on UK tracks.
- Brilliant Pink-Anodised Finish — The vibrant pink anodised coating provides stunning visual appeal whilst offering corrosion resistance and protection against oxidation, maintaining the professional appearance of your RC car even after extended use.
- Lighter Than Stock Steel Turnbuckles — These aluminium toe links are significantly lighter than the original steel turnbuckles, contributing to reduced unsprung weight and improved handling dynamics without compromising structural integrity.
- 35% Lighter Than Titanium — Despite titanium's reputation for lightness, these aluminium turnbuckles actually deliver superior weight savings, proving that material engineering matters just as much as material selection in RC design.
- Pre-Assembled with Rod Ends and Hollow Balls — The turnbuckles arrive fully assembled with high-quality rod ends and hollow balls, eliminating assembly time and ensuring proper fitment straight from the box for immediate installation.
- Dual-Length Configuration — The kit includes 39mm turnbuckles for the front axle and 49mm for the rear, providing tailored geometry adjustments for both front and rear suspension alignment and camber settings.
- Included Aluminium Wrench — The matching 5mm aluminium wrench prevents marring or scratching the anodised finish during adjustments, protecting your investment and maintaining the pristine appearance of these quality components.
- Easy Adjustability — The threaded turnbuckle design allows for precise fine-tuning of camber angles, enabling you to dial in the perfect setup for different track conditions, weather, and driving styles.
Technical Performance
These Traxxas aluminium turnbuckles represent a significant upgrade in chassis tuning capability for your RC model. The use of high-grade 7075-T6 aluminium ensures that despite the weight savings achieved compared to steel alternatives, you're not sacrificing structural integrity or durability. This aerospace-specification material provides increased bending stiffness, meaning the turnbuckles will maintain their precise length under load, which is critical for maintaining consistent camber angles during high-speed cornering or aggressive driving. The fact that they're 35% lighter than titanium counterparts demonstrates Traxxas's engineering expertise — they've optimised the material choice to deliver superior performance in the weight-critical environment of RC racing. The pre-assembled configuration with rod ends and hollow balls means everything is pre-fitted to OEM specifications, eliminating variables that could affect handling if you assembled these components yourself. The included 5mm aluminium wrench is purpose-designed to work with these components without damaging the anodised finish, which is important because protecting the coating helps prevent corrosion and maintains the structural integrity of the material over time. Whether you're running a ready to run RC car fresh from the box or a heavily modified competition rig, these turnbuckles provide the adjustability you need to optimise front and rear camber geometry for maximum grip and predictable handling.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What is the difference between front and rear turnbuckle lengths? — The 39mm front turnbuckles and 49mm rear turnbuckles are specifically proportioned to deliver correct geometry for the front and rear axles of your Traxxas model. The different lengths allow you to dial in precise camber angles that would be impossible with a single-length solution, optimising handling balance across the entire chassis.
- Why should I upgrade to aluminium turnbuckles from steel? — Aluminium turnbuckles offer multiple advantages over factory steel components: they're significantly lighter (reducing unsprung weight for better handling), they feature anodised finishes that look more professional, and they provide the adjustability you need for fine-tuning your chassis. At only 35% heavier than titanium alternatives, they offer exceptional value for the performance gains.
- Will these work with my ready to run Traxxas RC car? — Yes, these turnbuckles are designed as a direct upgrade for Traxxas models. As a tune-up option in the chassis category, they're engineered to work with existing Traxxas suspension geometry, making them an ideal upgrade whether you're running a stock ready to run configuration or a heavily modified race setup.
- What is the 5mm aluminium wrench for? — The included wrench is specifically designed to prevent marring or scratching the brilliant anodised pink finish whilst you make camber adjustments. Using the correct tool protects your investment and maintains the aesthetic appeal of these quality components.
- How do I adjust camber with turnbuckles? — Turnbuckles adjust camber angles by changing their length — turning them clockwise or anticlockwise adjusts how much the wheel tilts relative to vertical. More negative camber (wheel tilting inward) increases grip during cornering but may reduce straight-line speed, whilst less camber favours acceleration. The precise adjustability lets you find the optimal setting for your driving style and track conditions.
- Are these suitable for beginners? — Whilst beginners can certainly use these turnbuckles, they're more beneficial for drivers who want to experiment with chassis tuning and optimise their setup for specific conditions. Beginners may want to focus on mastering driving technique first, but these components are straightforward to install and adjust, making them accessible to anyone willing to learn about chassis geometry.
- What makes 7075-T6 aluminium special? — 7075-T6 is aerospace-specification aluminium known for exceptional strength-to-weight ratio and resistance to corrosion. It's the same material used in aircraft structures, making it ideal for precision components like these turnbuckles where reliability and durability are essential even under racing stress.
