Key Features
- 32-Bit Programmable Microprocessor — The fast 32-bit processor delivers precise, responsive throttle control and smooth power delivery, ensuring your aircraft responds instantly to stick input and maintains stable flight characteristics across the entire throttle range.
- Low Heat Generation MOSFET with High Instant Current Capability — Premium metal-oxide-semiconductor field-effect transistor technology ensures minimal heat production during operation, protecting your ESC and surrounding components whilst providing the instant current draw needed for aggressive manoeuvres and rapid acceleration.
- Super-Smooth Start-Up and Accurate Throttle Linearity — This ESC eliminates stuttering and jerkiness during motor spool-up, creating silky-smooth acceleration that gives you precise throttle control and predictable flight dynamics throughout the entire flight envelope.
- Higher Energy-Saving Qualities and Efficiency — Advanced power management delivers more flight time from each battery charge by minimising wasted energy and heat loss, allowing you to maximise your flying sessions and reduce overall power system running costs.
- Start-Up Protection — Automatic detection and prevention of abnormal start conditions protects your motor and ESC from damage during power-on, preventing costly failure and ensuring safe, reliable ignition every single flight.
- Over-Heat Protection — Integrated thermal monitoring automatically throttles back or shuts down the ESC if internal temperature exceeds safe operating limits, safeguarding your investment and preventing mid-flight failures from thermal stress.
- Low-Voltage Protection — This feature monitors your battery voltage and prevents over-discharge by cutting throttle when cells drop below safe limits, extending battery lifespan and preventing the damage that occurs when LiPo packs are depleted too far.
- Signal Loss and Phase Loss Protection — The ESC detects loss of receiver signal or motor phase connection and safely cuts throttle to prevent uncontrolled flight, a critical safety feature for RC aircraft operation.
- Wide Motor Compatibility — Compatible with the vast majority of brushless motors available on the market today, including high-RPM variants, this ESC works with motors from leading manufacturers and aftermarket suppliers, giving you complete freedom in motor selection and future upgrades.
- Programming via LCD Card — Configuration of all parameters—throttle response, timing, protection thresholds and SBEC voltage—is handled through an intuitive LCD programming card, eliminating the need for complex computer connections and making setup accessible to all skill levels.
- Pre-Installed XT60 Battery Connector — The XT60 connector is soldered and ready to use straight from the box, saving time and eliminating soldering errors whilst providing a secure, industry-standard connection to your LiPo battery pack.
- Pre-Installed Bullet-Style Motor Connectors — Heavy-duty 3.5mm or 4mm bullet connectors come factory-fitted to the motor leads, enabling quick motor swaps and eliminating solder joints that could fail under the demands of competitive flying.
- Adjustable SBEC Output Voltage — The integrated battery eliminator circuit regulates servo and receiver voltage, allowing you to optimise power delivery to your control surfaces and improve servo responsiveness and torque for better flight control.
Technical Performance
The Radient 30A G2 ESC represents a significant advancement in brushless motor control for fixed-wing aircraft. At just 25 grams, this controller is remarkably lightweight, crucial for minimising aircraft weight and maximising flight duration. The compact dimensions of 60mm in length, 25mm in width and just 10mm in height allow installation in confined spaces typical of scale aircraft, aerobatic trainers and high-performance sport models. The 32-bit architecture processes throttle commands with microsecond precision, translating to throttle linearity that feels natural and responsive in flight, a characteristic essential when flying scale warbirds or performing aerobatic sequences where smooth, predictable control is paramount. Built with high-quality MOSFETs rather than inferior field-effect transistor designs, this ESC exhibits dramatically lower heat generation during operation, meaning less stress on internal components and longer service life. The integrated SBEC intelligently regulates power from 2S, 3S or 4S LiPo battery packs (the model designation indicates 2-4 cell compatibility), outputting clean, stable voltage to your receiver and servos regardless of main battery discharge state. This brushless RC ESC integrates multiple independent protection systems—thermal shutdown monitoring internal die temperature, low-voltage cutoff preventing battery damage, signal loss detection protecting against loss of radio control, and phase loss detection catching motor connection failures. The combination of these engineering solutions creates a system that simply works, requiring no fiddling once set up correctly, and providing the fail-safe redundancy you need for safe, enjoyable flying.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Is the Radient 30A G2 ESC suitable for beginners learning to fly RC aircraft? — Yes, absolutely. Whilst this is a sophisticated, programmable controller, the factory default settings are perfectly calibrated for general flying. Beginners can install it and fly without adjustment, and as their skills develop, they'll have the flexibility to fine-tune parameters via the LCD card to optimise performance for their specific aircraft and flying style.
- What battery types and cell counts does this ESC support? — The Radient 30A G2 is rated for 2-4 cell LiPo batteries, meaning it works with 2S (7.4V nominal), 3S (11.1V nominal) and 4S (14.8V nominal) LiPo packs. This wide compatibility range makes it suitable for everything from lightweight trainer aircraft up to larger aerobatic models and scale replicas.
- What is the maximum current rating and what motors can it handle? — With a 30-amp continuous current rating, this ESC handles brushless motors from roughly 2200KV to 4600KV depending on propeller load and battery voltage, covering high-RPM outrunner motors typical of sport and aerobatic aircraft. The manufacturer suggests compatibility with virtually all brushless motors on the market, including specialised high-RPM variants.
- Do I need soldering skills to install this ESC? — No, this is one of the great advantages of the 30A G2. Both the battery connector (XT60) and motor connectors (bullet style) arrive pre-installed and ready to use. You simply connect your battery, motor and receiver without any soldering required, making installation quick, clean and mistake-free.
- How do I configure the ESC settings? — Programming is straightforward using the included LCD card. Insert the card into the ESC's programming port, and you can adjust parameters including throttle curve, timing advance, cutoff voltage thresholds, and SBEC output voltage. The card provides an intuitive interface requiring no computer or specialist software.
- What protection features does this ESC include? — The 30A G2 incorporates comprehensive protection: start-up protection prevents motor damage from abnormal starts, over-heat protection monitors internal temperature and throttles back if needed, low-voltage protection safeguards your battery by cutting power at dangerous discharge levels, and signal loss / phase loss protection detects receiver signal loss or motor connection failures, cutting throttle for safety.
- How does the SBEC voltage regulation work? — The integrated Smart Battery Eliminator Circuit monitors your main battery voltage and outputs a regulated voltage to your receiver and servos, typically 5-6V adjustable. This means your control systems get consistent, stable power regardless of how much your main battery voltage sags during flight, improving servo responsiveness and radio stability.
- What makes the 32-bit processor better than older 16-bit designs? — The 32-bit microprocessor processes throttle commands with far greater precision and speed, resulting in smoother power delivery, more accurate throttle linearity and faster response to control input. This translates to better flying characteristics and more predictable aircraft behaviour, particularly important when flying scale models or performing aerobatics.
