Key Features
- Low-Heat Generation MOSFET with High Instant Current Capability — The advanced MOSFET design minimises heat dissipation during normal operation, ensuring the ESC remains cool and reliable even during extended flying sessions or demanding aerobatic manoeuvres. High instant current capability means the controller can respond instantly to throttle inputs, delivering smooth acceleration and precise motor control without lag or hesitation.
- Fast 32-Bit Microprocessor — The high-speed processor enables incredibly responsive throttle control and smooth power delivery. This advanced computing power ensures that every input from your transmitter is processed instantly and accurately, translating to natural, predictable aircraft handling characteristics.
- Super-Smooth Start-Up and Accurate Throttle Linearity — Rather than sudden lurching on the motor shaft, the ESC delivers gentle, progressive power delivery from zero throttle, making it safer and easier to control your aircraft during takeoff. The accurate throttle linearity means the motor response directly matches your stick position, giving you the precise control needed for smooth flying.
- Energy-Saving Efficient Operation — The intelligent MOSFET design and modern microprocessor architecture minimise power loss as heat, meaning more of your battery's energy goes towards propelling your aircraft rather than being wasted. This translates to longer flight times and cooler running temperatures throughout your battery pack.
- Multiple Protective Systems — The ESC incorporates start-up protection to prevent dangerous motor spins during power-up, over-heat protection that throttles back if temperatures rise excessively, low-voltage protection to safeguard your battery from dangerous discharge levels, and signal loss protection that cuts power if your transmitter connection is lost. Phase loss protection adds another layer of safety by detecting electrical faults.
- Programmable via LCD Card — Rather than requiring a computer or complicated programming sequences, the included LCD card makes configuration convenient and straightforward. Simply insert the card into the ESC and navigate the menu system to adjust settings such as timing, throttle curve, and protection thresholds.
- Pre-Installed XT60 Battery Connector — The XT60 connector standard on the input side means you can connect your LiPo battery directly without modification. This popular connector type is widely available, robust, and provides reliable power transfer without the need for soldering.
- Pre-Installed Bullet-Style Motor Connectors — The motor connections are already fitted and ready to go, saving you assembly time and ensuring professional-quality connections to your brushless motor. The bullet connectors provide secure, reliable contact.
- Wide Motor Compatibility — Designed to work with most motors on the market, including high-RPM applications, this ESC offers exceptional versatility. Whether you're using a 2200KV sport motor, a lower KV high-torque alternative, or anything in between, the controller delivers smooth, reliable operation.
- Integrated SBEC Power Supply — The built-in SBEC eliminates the need for a separate battery for your receiver and servos. This reduces weight, simplifies wiring, and frees up space inside your airframe for other components or additional fuel capacity.
Technical Performance
The Radient 20A G2 ESC represents a significant advancement in brushless motor control technology for RC aircraft. The 20-ampere continuous rating makes it suitable for a broad range of fixed-wing applications, from lightweight foam models to larger scale replicas. The controller is designed to work with 2-cell, 3-cell, and 4-cell LiPo battery packs, providing flexibility in your power system design depending on your desired speed and flying characteristics.
