Overview

The Traxxas Caster Blocks (C-Hubs), Left & Right in Grey are essential replacement chassis spare parts designed for Traxxas mini RC models. These caster blocks, commonly referred to as c-hubs, are critical suspension components that connect your RC vehicle's steering system to the suspension assembly. Whether you're an experienced RC enthusiast running a Traxxas mini-scale RC car or a newer hobbyist exploring the world of RC racing and bashing in the UK, replacement caster blocks are a practical investment to keep your vehicle performing at its best. These genuine Traxxas parts ensure your mini RC truck or buggy maintains precise steering geometry and reliable handling characteristics.

Caster blocks play a vital role in the suspension design of RC cars, particularly in mini-scale vehicles where suspension geometry directly impacts cornering speed, stability and overall driving experience. When these components become worn, damaged or bent through regular use, replacement is straightforward and necessary to restore your RC model to factory specification. The grey colour of these parts matches the Traxxas aesthetic and provides a professional appearance when installed on compatible models.

RC Model Shop supplies authentic Traxxas spare parts for enthusiasts across the UK who demand genuine components and reliable performance. As an authorised Traxxas retailer, we stock replacement parts like these caster blocks to keep your RC hobby running smoothly, whether you enjoy casual backyard bashing or competitive track racing.

Technical Performance

The Traxxas Caster Blocks represent the engineering quality you expect from a leading RC manufacturer. These suspension components are manufactured to precise tolerances that maintain critical steering geometry in your mini-scale RC vehicle. Caster blocks serve as the connection point between your RC car's steering linkage and the suspension system, directly influencing how your vehicle responds to steering inputs and how it handles through corners. The design of these parts affects caster angle, camber change and overall suspension performance as your vehicle compresses and extends during acceleration, braking and cornering. By replacing worn or damaged caster blocks with genuine Traxxas parts, you ensure that your RC car maintains the factory-intended suspension geometry, which is essential for predictable handling, consistent lap times and enjoyable driving characteristics. The grey-coloured plastic construction is durable enough for regular use while remaining light enough to keep your mini RC model performing efficiently. These parts are designed to work seamlessly with Traxxas mini models including the Mini Maxx BL-2S, Mini Rally VXL Ford RS200, Mini Slash BL-2S 4X4, and Mini XRT VXL-3S, ensuring compatibility across multiple popular mini-scale RC platforms.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What are caster blocks and why do I need them for my RC car? — Caster blocks, also called c-hubs, are suspension components that connect your steering system to the suspension assembly. They determine the caster angle of your front wheels, which affects steering responsiveness and stability. Over time, these parts can become bent or damaged through impacts or normal wear, requiring replacement to restore proper handling.
  • Which Traxxas models are these caster blocks compatible with? — These left and right caster blocks are compatible with multiple Traxxas mini-scale RC vehicles including the Mini Maxx BL-2S (available in green, blue, black and orange), Mini Rally VXL Ford RS200 (available in red, blue, grey and standard finishes), Mini Slash BL-2S 4X4 (available in pink, green, yellow and orange), and Mini XRT VXL-3S (available in green, orange, red and blue).
  • How do I know if my caster blocks need replacing? — Signs that your caster blocks may need replacement include pulling to one side despite proper steering trim adjustment, uneven tyre wear, loose or sloppy steering feel, or visible cracks or bends in the plastic components. If your RC car has experienced impacts or crashes, inspecting these parts for damage is recommended.
  • Are these genuine Traxxas parts? — Yes, part number TRX10732-GRAY is the official Traxxas part for left and right caster blocks. When you purchase these from RC Model Shop, you receive authentic Traxxas manufactured components designed to factory specifications.
  • How difficult is it to install replacement caster blocks on my Traxxas mini RC car? — Installation difficulty depends on your mechanical experience, but caster block replacement is generally considered a moderate-level maintenance task. You will need basic RC tools including appropriate hex wrenches and possibly a screwdriver. If you're unsure about the installation process, our team at RC Model Shop can provide guidance or you may consult your vehicle's instruction manual for step-by-step installation instructions.
  • What is the difference between left and right caster blocks? — Left and right caster blocks are mirrored components designed specifically for each side of your RC vehicle's front end. The steering linkage connection points and mounting geometry differ between left and right to accommodate proper steering geometry and suspension alignment.
