Overview

The ARRMA Shock Springs, 80mm 0.547N/mm (3.12lb/in) are precision-engineered suspension components designed to deliver optimal performance for your RC car. These shock springs have been specifically selected by ARRMA engineers to provide the perfect balance of suspension response, comfort and handling characteristics for their range of 1/10 scale RC vehicles. Whether you're a competitive racer pushing your RC car UK to the limit on the track, a weekend basher enjoying some outdoor fun, or an enthusiast who demands consistent performance from their ready to run RC model, these replacement shock springs are an essential spare part to keep your vehicle performing at its best.

As suspension wear is a natural part of RC ownership, having quality replacement springs on hand ensures your brushless RC short course truck maintains its factory-fresh handling and responsiveness. These ARRMA shock springs are manufactured to the same exacting standards as the original equipment fitted to new models, guaranteeing seamless compatibility and reliable performance every time you take your RC car out to play. The 80mm length and precise spring rate of 0.547N/mm (3.12lb/in) have been tested and validated across ARRMA's range of vehicles to ensure they work in perfect harmony with the rest of your suspension setup.

Investing in genuine ARRMA parts means you're getting components that have been engineered specifically for your model, backed by the reputation of a manufacturer that has been delivering high-quality RC vehicles and spares to enthusiasts worldwide for years. These shock springs represent the kind of quality and attention to detail that makes ARRMA a trusted name in the RC hobby.

Key Features

  • Strong and Durable Spring Steel Construction — Manufactured from high-grade spring steel, these shock springs are built to withstand the constant compression and extension cycles that occur during driving, maintaining consistent performance lap after lap and session after session without losing their integrity or spring rate over time.
  • Precision Manufactured for Fast and Easy Installation — Each shock spring is manufactured to exact specifications, ensuring perfect fitment into your ARRMA shock absorbers without any adjustment, modification or fiddling required, so you can get back on the track quickly and with confidence.
  • Optimised Spring Rate of 0.547N/mm — This specific spring rate has been carefully selected by ARRMA engineers to provide the ideal balance between suspension compliance for comfort and support for performance, making these springs suitable for general driving, hobby use and recreational RC car UK activities.
  • 80mm Length Specification — The 80mm dimension is precisely matched to ARRMA shock absorber designs, ensuring correct ride height and suspension geometry for optimal handling characteristics and predictable cornering performance.
  • Genuine OEM Quality and Compatibility — These are original ARRMA parts, not aftermarket alternatives, meaning they are engineered to work perfectly with ARRMA's suspension systems and will not compromise the performance characteristics of your vehicle.
  • Pair Included in Package — You receive a pair of shock springs, allowing you to replace both front or both rear suspension springs, or to keep one as a spare for future maintenance and servicing needs.

Technical Performance

The ARRMA Shock Springs represent the culmination of years of suspension engineering expertise. With a spring rate of 0.547N/mm (which converts to 3.12lb/in in Imperial measurements), these springs are specifically calibrated to work within ARRMA's suspension geometry. The 80mm length places them in the mid-range for shock absorber applications, making them versatile across multiple ARRMA models. The spring steel material has been selected for its fatigue resistance, ensuring that the springs maintain their rated spring constant through thousands of compression cycles without permanent deformation or loss of performance. The precision manufacturing process guarantees that both springs in the pair have identical characteristics, providing balanced suspension performance across the left and right sides of your RC vehicle. This uniformity is critical for predictable handling and ensures that your brushless RC short course truck responds consistently whether you're cornering left or right. The engineering behind these springs reflects ARRMA's commitment to delivering replacement parts that perform as well as the originals fitted at the factory.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Which ARRMA vehicles are these shock springs compatible with? — These 80mm shock springs with a rate of 0.547N/mm (3.12lb/in) are confirmed to fit ARRMA 1/10 FURY 223S models, including the BLX brushless variant with 2WD drive configuration. They are also compatible with the standard ARRMA FURY 2WD model. Always verify compatibility with your specific model before purchase to ensure correct fitment.
  • How often should I replace my RC shock springs? — Shock springs should be inspected regularly for signs of permanent deformation, rust or loss of springiness. If you notice that your RC car's ride height has sagged or that the suspension feels less responsive than usual, it's time to replace the springs. Regular replacement during maintenance intervals keeps your RC car UK performing at its best.
  • Why would I need replacement shock springs? — Over time and with heavy use, shock springs gradually lose their spring rate through metal fatigue and permanent deformation. This causes your RC vehicle to sit lower, reduces suspension travel and negatively impacts handling. Replacing worn springs restores your vehicle's original performance characteristics and ride height.
  • Are these shock springs easy to install? — Yes, these ARRMA shock springs are precision manufactured for fast and easy fitment. Simply remove the old springs from your shock absorbers and install the new ones — no modification or adjustment is required, making this a straightforward maintenance task that most RC enthusiasts can complete in minutes.
  • What is the spring rate and why does it matter? — The spring rate of 0.547N/mm indicates how much force is required to compress the spring by one millimetre. A higher rate means a stiffer spring that compresses less easily, whilst a lower rate produces a softer, more compliant spring. ARRMA has selected this specific rate to provide the ideal balance of performance and comfort for their vehicles, so choosing the correct rate is essential for maintaining proper handling.
  • Can I use different spring rates on my ARRMA vehicle? — Whilst it is technically possible to experiment with different spring rates for tuning purposes, ARRMA specifies these 0.547N/mm springs for your vehicle. Using significantly different rates could alter your suspension geometry, affect ride height and impact handling. Unless you are an experienced tuner, it's best to stick with the OEM-specified rate.
