Overview

The Blade BLH-1712 Tail Rotor Pushrod for the Fusion 700 is an essential replacement linkage set designed to keep your RC helicopter's tail control system operating smoothly. Whether you're maintaining your model after regular use or replacing a worn component, this pushrod assembly provides the precision engineering needed for reliable tail rotor performance. This spare part is manufactured by Blade, a respected name in RC helicopter components, and is specifically engineered for the Fusion 700 platform, ensuring perfect compatibility and performance.

For RC helicopter enthusiasts across the UK, whether you fly competitively or enjoy casual flying, having quality replacement parts on hand is crucial for minimising downtime and extending the life of your model. The tail rotor pushrod is a critical component in your helicopter's control system, translating pilot input into precise tail rotor movements that keep your model stable in flight. This complete linkage set includes everything you need for straightforward replacement or maintenance, allowing you to keep your Fusion 700 in peak operating condition.

RC Model Shop stocks genuine Blade components, giving you the confidence that you're purchasing authentic, OEM-specification parts designed to work seamlessly with your helicopter. The inclusion of a carbon fibre pushrod and all matching hardware means this is a complete solution for tail control system maintenance, eliminating the need to source components separately.

Key Features

  • Carbon Fibre Pushrod — The main pushrod is constructed from carbon fibre, a material chosen for its exceptional strength-to-weight ratio and rigidity, ensuring precise control inputs are transmitted reliably from the servo to the tail rotor mechanism without flex or deflection that could compromise flight stability.
  • Complete Linkage Assembly — This set includes all the components necessary for a complete tail rotor control linkage, comprising the pushrod, sleeve, pushrod ends, ball links and support bracket, eliminating the need to purchase individual components and ensuring all parts work together as an integrated system.
  • Ball Link Connections — The inclusion of two ball links provides flexible, wear-resistant connection points at both ends of the pushrod, allowing for smooth articulation whilst maintaining precise alignment and reducing friction in the control linkage.
  • Pushrod Sleeve — The pushrod sleeve provides additional support and protection for the main carbon fibre rod, helping to maintain alignment and preventing damage during assembly and operation.
  • Plastic Pushrod Support — A plastic support bracket is included to secure and guide the pushrod along its routing path, preventing unwanted movement and ensuring the linkage maintains correct geometry during flight.
  • Hardware Package — The set includes an M2x10mm bolt for secure fastening, along with all other required mounting hardware, ensuring you have everything needed for proper installation.
  • OEM Blade Component — As a genuine Blade part manufactured to OEM specifications, this pushrod is engineered to exact tolerances and performs identically to the original component supplied with your Fusion 700 helicopter.

Technical Performance

The Blade BLH-1712 tail rotor pushrod assembly represents precision engineering designed specifically for the Fusion 700 helicopter platform. The carbon fibre construction of the main pushrod provides an optimal balance of strength and minimal weight, critical factors in RC helicopter control systems where any unnecessary mass in the linkage can affect response characteristics and flight performance. The pushrod sleeve works in conjunction with the main rod to maintain rigidity throughout the control input range, preventing any flex that could introduce play or imprecision in tail rotor positioning. The two ball links featured in this assembly are engineered to provide smooth, friction-free articulation at both connection points, allowing for precise control inputs whilst accommodating the natural movement required during flight control inputs. The plastic pushrod support bracket keeps the entire linkage properly aligned and routed, preventing contact with rotating components and ensuring the control system maintains correct geometry during all phases of flight. The inclusion of the M2x10mm bolt provides secure fastening without over-constraint, allowing the linkage to function as designed. Whether you're replacing a worn component, upgrading after wear and tear, or maintaining your helicopter as part of regular service intervals, this complete linkage set ensures your Fusion 700's tail control system operates with the precision and reliability you expect from a quality RC helicopter.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is the Blade Tail Rotor Pushrod used for? — The tail rotor pushrod is a critical component in your Fusion 700 helicopter's tail control system. It transmits control inputs from the servo to the tail rotor mechanism, allowing the pilot to control the helicopter's yaw (rotation) during flight. When this component becomes worn or damaged, it must be replaced to maintain precise tail control and flight stability.
  • Is this a complete replacement assembly? — Yes, this is a complete linkage set that includes all components required for tail rotor pushrod replacement: the carbon fibre pushrod, sleeve, pushrod ends, ball links, support bracket and fastening hardware. You do not need to purchase additional components separately.
  • How do I install the tail rotor pushrod? — Installation should be carried out according to your Fusion 700 helicopter's manual, which provides detailed step-by-step instructions for removing the old pushrod and installing the new assembly. The manual will specify correct assembly sequence and any torque specifications for the M2x10mm bolt to ensure proper operation.
  • Why is carbon fibre used for the pushrod? — Carbon fibre is chosen for this application because it provides exceptional rigidity and strength whilst remaining lightweight. This combination ensures that control inputs are transmitted precisely to the tail rotor without any flex or deflection, and the low weight means it doesn't negatively impact the helicopter's balance or performance characteristics.
  • Will this fit my Fusion 700 helicopter? — Yes, the BLH-1712 is specifically engineered as an OEM component for the Blade Fusion 700, ensuring perfect fitment and compatibility with all aspects of your helicopter's tail control system.
  • When should I replace my tail rotor pushrod? — Replace the pushrod if you notice imprecise tail control response, visible wear or damage to the carbon fibre rod, or difficulty in maintaining stable flight. Regular inspection as part of routine helicopter maintenance helps identify wear before it affects flight performance.
