Overview
The PRO 1/10 Sector Light Weight Clear Body for the AE B74.2 is a premium racing body designed specifically for competitive 1/10 buggy racers who demand precision handling and performance. This is a ground-up redesign of Pro-Line Racing's Sector lineup, engineered to optimise the handling characteristics of your buggy even in the trickiest of track conditions. Whether you're a seasoned competitor running at your local track or a dedicated RC enthusiast looking to improve your lap times, this lightweight clear body represents a significant upgrade to your racing setup. The Sector body has become recognised as one of the finest 1/10 buggy race bodies available for UK RC racers and serious hobbyists worldwide.
What sets the Sector apart from standard RC buggy bodies is its thoughtful engineering approach to aerodynamics and weight distribution. The low-slung design features a laid-back windshield that reduces wind resistance whilst maintaining excellent visibility during high-speed runs. The long centre fin is engineered specifically for ideal stability and side bite, which translates directly to lower lap times when you're pushing your AE B74.2 to its limits. This is a clear, unpainted polycarbonate body, meaning you'll need to paint it yourself before racing—but this also gives you complete creative freedom to design a custom livery that reflects your personal style or team colours.
Pro-Line Racing has included everything you need to get race-ready quickly. The body comes with the Air Force 7" Wing, an ultra-wide wing design crafted for the perfect balance of downforce and low drag. The construction prioritises durability and tunability, allowing you to fine-tune your setup to match your specific track conditions. This is a serious piece of equipment for anyone serious about 1/10 RC buggy racing in the UK or beyond, manufactured to Pro-Line's exacting standards and built in the USA.
Key Features
- Low-Slung Design with Enhanced Drivability — The body's low centre of gravity and aerodynamic profile work together to provide a planted yet drivable feel that instils confidence at speed, allowing you to push harder into corners and maintain control even on technical track layouts.
- Optimised for Stability and Side Bite — The long centre fin and overall rake of the body contribute to enhanced stability during cornering and braking, whilst the side bite characteristics help your buggy grip through direction changes, directly improving your lap times on competition courses.
- Air Force 7" Wing Included — Two Air Force wings are supplied with each body, featuring an ultra-wide design that delivers the perfect blend of downforce and low drag, with 2 diagonal ribs that keep the wing true at high speeds and three rear chord trim heights for track-specific tuning.
- Crystal Clear Polycarbonate Construction — Made from premium polycarbonate material, the body is tough enough to withstand the rigours of race track use whilst remaining crystal clear, allowing you to showcase any custom interior work or chassis details you've installed on your AE B74.2.
- Paint Then Peel Overspray Film Built-in — The body features an integrated paint-then-peel overspray film that protects your windows during the painting process, allowing you to paint the entire body with confidence knowing that your windscreen and side windows will remain clear without masking.
- Proper Clearances Throughout — The body has been engineered with the right amount of clearance around the gearbox, chassis, and bulkhead, ensuring perfect fitment on your AE B74.2 without rubbing or interference that could affect performance or cause damage.
- Ample Tyre Clearance — The outer edges of the body provide generous tyre clearance, allowing you to fit slightly wider or differently-profiled tyres without worrying about contact with the body during aggressive cornering.
- Made in the USA — Pro-Line Racing manufactures this body in the USA to the highest standards, ensuring consistent quality and the precision fit you expect from a premium racing product.
Technical Performance
The Sector Light Weight Clear Body is engineered from crystal clear polycarbonate that balances weight savings with durability—critical factors when every gram matters in competitive 1/10 buggy racing. The body's low-slung profile and long centre fin work in concert with the included Air Force 7" Wing to optimise aerodynamic performance across the entire speed range of your AE B74.2. The wing itself is constructed from ultra-durable 1mm thick polycarbonate material, providing rigidity at high speeds whilst remaining flexible enough to absorb minor impacts without cracking. The three rear chord trim heights on the wing allow you to adjust downforce levels based on track conditions—shorter chord heights reduce drag on high-speed circuits, whilst longer heights increase downforce for technical, tight layouts. The overall geometry of the body contributes to a low centre of gravity that improves stability during acceleration, braking, and cornering, making your buggy feel more planted and responsive. Fitment to the AE B74.2 is precise, with proper clearances engineered around all critical components including the gearbox, chassis rails, and front and rear bulkheads. This means you can install the body with confidence, knowing it won't interfere with any mechanical systems on your buggy. The lightweight construction helps minimise unsprung mass, which translates to better handling characteristics and quicker response to driver inputs. Whether you're running at your local UK RC track or travelling to national competitions, the Sector body's engineering provides the performance edge that separates competitive racers from casual drivers.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Is the Pro-Line Sector body suitable for beginners or only experienced racers? — Whilst the Sector is engineered for competitive racing and will provide measurable performance improvements for racers of all levels, this is a clear unpainted body that requires painting before use. If you're new to RC buggy racing, you may want to consider a pre-painted body initially to get on the track faster. However, once painted, the Sector is an excellent long-term investment that will serve you well as you develop your racing skills.
- What is included in the box and do I need to buy anything else? — The Sector body comes with the clear polycarbonate shell, two Air Force 7" wings, a window mask sheet, and a decal sheet. You will need to purchase acrylic or polycarbonate RC body paint, painting supplies, and you'll need an AE B74.2 chassis and mounting hardware. The window mask sheet is included to protect the windscreen and windows whilst you paint the body.
- Can I paint this body with standard acrylic paint or do I need special RC paint? — For best results and durability, Pro-Line recommends using polycarbonate-specific RC body paint, which bonds better to polycarbonate and resists chipping and fading better than standard acrylic paints. Many UK RC shops stock Pro-Line and Createx paint specifically formulated for polycarbonate bodies. The built-in paint-then-peel overspray film allows you to paint the entire body without masking the windows.
- Will this body fit my AE B74.2 buggy without modifications? — Yes, the Sector body is engineered specifically for the AE B74.2 with proper fitment around the gearbox, chassis, and bulkhead. Fitment should be perfect straight out of the box once you've mounted it with appropriate RC body mounting hardware.
- What performance improvements can I expect from upgrading to the Sector body? — The Sector's low-slung design, long centre fin, and optimised aerodynamics contribute to improved stability, better side bite through corners, and faster lap times compared to standard or older-design bodies. The included Air Force 7" Wing provides tunable downforce through three trim height options. Real-world improvements depend on your track layout and driving technique, but most racers report noticeably better handling and confidence at speed.
- Are the Air Force wings included with this body the same as buying them separately? — Yes, this package includes a standard two-pack of Air Force 7" Wings. The wings feature 1mm thick polycarbonate construction with diagonal ribs for high-speed stability and three rear chord trim heights for track-specific tuning.
- How durable is polycarbonate for racing use? — Polycarbonate is significantly more durable than painted lexan and can withstand the rigours of competitive racing including minor crashes and abrasions. However, as with all RC bodies, it can be damaged in serious accidents. The crystal clear material does an excellent job of displaying any custom interior work on your chassis and allows you to inspect the internal components whilst racing.
