The Pro-Line 1/10 Sector Light Weight Clear Body for the TLR 22X-4 represents a ground-up redesign of the Sector lineup, engineered to optimise handling in even the trickiest of track conditions. Whether you're a serious racer looking to shave seconds off your lap times, a keen hobbyist in the UK RC car community, or someone seeking to upgrade their ready to run RC buggy setup, this premium clear body shell delivers the aerodynamic advantages and engineering excellence that Pro-Line is recognised for. The Sector body features a sophisticated low-slung design with a laid-back windshield and extended centre fin, combining stability and side bite in a way that translates directly to faster, more predictable lap times.
This is a complete body package designed to take your TLR 22X-4 buggy to the next level. As a clear, unpainted shell, it offers the flexibility to paint your body in any colour scheme you choose, making it perfect for racers who want a completely custom appearance. Pro-Line has included everything needed to get you track-ready quickly: the body features an integrated paint-then-peel overspray film, window masks, decals, and a pair of the company's renowned Air Force 7-inch wings. The body is manufactured in the USA using crystal clear polycarbonate, ensuring durability and optical clarity from the outset.
This is sold as a clear bodyshell only; no vehicle chassis is included. You'll need your own TLR 22X-4 platform to mount this body, but once you do, you're looking at a significant upgrade to your racing setup. RC enthusiasts across the UK who are serious about off-road buggy racing will recognise the Sector as a proven performer on competitive circuits.
Key Features
- Low-Slung Design with Enhanced Drivability — The body's overall geometry and rake contribute to a planted yet responsive driving feel, meaning your buggy will feel stable and predictable through corners while remaining agile and easy to control during aggressive driving manoeuvres.
- Optimised for Stability and Side Bite — The combination of the laid-back windshield and long centre fin creates aerodynamic characteristics that actively improve your buggy's side bite and cornering grip, directly lowering lap times on competitive tracks.
- Air Force 7-Inch Ultra-Wide Wing System — Included with the body is Pro-Line's dual Air Force 7-inch wings, designed to deliver the perfect balance between downforce and low aerodynamic drag, combining durability with field-proven tunability.
- Three Rear Chord Trim Heights for Track Tuning — The trailing edge of each wing features three different rear chord trim options, allowing you to adjust the aerodynamic setup to match your specific track conditions without buying additional parts.
- Ample Tyre Clearance Design — The body features generous clearance around the outer edges of the wing specifically designed to accommodate various tyre sizes and prevent contact at full steering lock or suspension articulation.
- Two Diagonal Ribs for Wing Stability — Each Air Force wing is reinforced with two diagonal ribs that keep the wing perfectly true at high speeds, preventing flex or deflection that could compromise aerodynamic performance.
- Ultra-Durable 1mm Thick Wing Material — Both included wings are formed from 1mm thick polycarbonate, making them tough enough to withstand the demands of competitive racing whilst remaining light enough to avoid unsprung mass penalties.
- Crystal Clear Polycarbonate Construction — The body shell is manufactured from crystal clear polycarbonate, providing excellent optical clarity so your chassis and mechanical components remain visible whilst offering the durability needed for racing.
- Paint-Then-Peel Overspray Film Built-In — The body arrives with an integrated paint-then-peel overspray film pre-applied, allowing you to paint directly onto the shell without masking individual body details, then simply peel away the protective layer when dry.
- Precise Gearbox and Bulkhead Clearance — The body has been engineered with the right amount of clearance around the gearbox, chassis, and bulkhead, ensuring no interference with moving parts whilst maintaining the aerodynamic profile.
- Made in the USA — Manufactured to Pro-Line's exacting standards in the United States, guaranteeing quality control and consistency that serious racers depend on.
Technical Performance
The Sector Light Weight Clear Body represents advanced polycarbonate engineering specifically tailored for 1/10 scale off-road buggy racing. At 1/10 scale, this body works in conjunction with your TLR 22X-4 chassis to optimise aerodynamic efficiency across the board, from low-speed handling through high-speed stability. The polycarbonate material chosen strikes the ideal balance between impact resistance and weight minimisation — critical factors when every gram counts in competitive racing. The low-slung design philosophy means the body's roofline sits lower relative to the wheelbase, improving the aerodynamic centre of pressure and lowering the visual centre of gravity, both of which contribute to the planted feel pilots report. The long centre fin extends the overall aerodynamic depth of the body, which improves directional stability and reduces side-to-side movement during aggressive cornering. The laid-back windshield angle reduces frontal area without compromising visibility, a clever compromise that reduces aerodynamic drag whilst maintaining the driver's ability to see through the body. The included Air Force wing system adds significant tunability to your setup — the three different rear chord heights allow you to quickly adjust downforce levels between practice and racing without removing the body or wings. For UK RC racers competing on indoor and outdoor circuits, this level of fine-tuning capability is invaluable when track conditions change. The dual 1mm wings provide consistent aerodynamic characteristics whilst the diagonal ribs prevent flex even under cornering forces. No vehicle chassis is included, so you'll be mounting this onto your existing TLR 22X-4 platform.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Which TLR 22X-4 models does this body fit? — This Sector body is specifically designed for the TLR 22X-4 platform. It features engineering optimised for the dimensions and mounting points of that chassis, ensuring perfect fitment and aerodynamic performance. Always verify your chassis model before purchasing.
- Does this body come painted or unpainted? — This is sold as a clear, unpainted body shell. The crystal clear polycarbonate allows you to see through to the chassis, and you have complete freedom to paint it any colour you choose. Pro-Line includes a paint-then-peel overspray film to make the painting process straightforward and protect fine details during painting.
- What paint should I use on the polycarbonate body? — Polycarbonate bodies require specific lexan-compatible paints designed for RC car shells. Acrylic or enamel paints will not adhere properly. Look for dedicated RC body paints at your local UK RC retailer — brands like Tamiya, Pro-Line, and Gravity formulate paints specifically for polycarbonate shells.
- Can I adjust the wing setup to suit different tracks? — Absolutely. The included Air Force wings feature three different rear chord trim heights, allowing you to tune the aerodynamic downforce to match your specific track conditions. More downforce (taller rear chord) for grippy tracks, less downforce (shorter rear chord) for slippery or high-speed circuits.
- Are the wings durable enough for competitive racing? — The wings are formed from 1mm thick polycarbonate reinforced with two diagonal ribs, making them tough and rigid enough for competitive RC buggy racing. They resist flex at high speeds whilst remaining light enough to avoid penalising acceleration.
- Is this suitable for beginners? — This is a race-focused body shell designed for experienced racers and competitive enthusiasts rather than beginners. You'll need painting skills, knowledge of your TLR 22X-4 platform, and understanding of aerodynamic tuning to get the most from it. If you're new to RC buggies, consider a ready-to-run option first.
- What is included in the window mask sheet? — The window mask is a protective film that covers the body's window areas during painting, preventing paint from reaching the clear polycarbonate where you want visibility. This saves time compared to hand-masking with tape and produces cleaner edges.
- How many wing options do I get? — You receive two complete Air Force 7-inch wings in the package, allowing you to have one set up for one track condition whilst keeping a spare ready, or swapping between setups during practice and racing without waiting for parts to arrive.
- What is the difference between this and other 1/10 buggy bodies? — The Sector's ground-up redesign focuses on optimising handling in tricky track conditions through its low-slung geometry, extended centre fin, and laid-back windshield profile. The included Air Force wing system with three tunable trim heights provides versatility that many competitors lack. This is a competition-grade body from a manufacturer with a proven track record in RC buggy racing.
- Do I need to modify my TLR 22X-4 to fit this body? — The body is engineered to fit the TLR 22X-4 with proper clearance around the gearbox, chassis, and bulkhead. Standard body posts and fasteners appropriate for your platform should be sufficient, though you should verify fitment before painting.
