The kit includes two different spoke lengths to ensure proper wheel geometry and optimal performance. If you're running a Promoto-MX RC model in the UK and need to maintain or upgrade your rear wheel system, this is the genuine, authorised Pro-Line product you should choose.
RC car UK enthusiasts know that quality spare parts are crucial for long-term performance and reliability. The Pro-Spec system represents a step forward in RC wheel technology, offering the same meticulous attention to detail that characterises full-size motocross engineering. This spoke kit is perfect for both maintenance and customisation, allowing you to refresh your wheels or experiment with spoke configurations to suit your specific racing or bashing needs.
Key Features
- True-to-Scale Motocross-Inspired Appearance — The spokes are designed with authentic motocross proportions and styling, delivering a visually impressive result that makes your RC model look more like a genuine, full-size motorcycle rather than a toy. This attention to scale detail appeals to collectors and serious racers alike.
- Zinc-Plated Steel Construction — The spokes are manufactured from premium zinc-plated steel, which provides superior durability and corrosion resistance compared to cheaper alternatives. The zinc plating also makes the spokes more aesthetically appealing with a polished, professional finish that catches light beautifully.
- Precision Truing Capability — These spokes are engineered to allow precise wheel truing, meaning you can adjust individual spokes to ensure your wheels are perfectly balanced and run true. This level of precision is essential for high-performance RC racing where wheel geometry directly affects handling and speed.
- Dot-Marked Identification System — Each spoke head features clearly visible dot markings for easy identification in the field. Two dots indicate medium spokes (54.25mm), whilst three dots indicate short spokes (52.75mm), eliminating confusion during maintenance or repairs.
- Easy Spoke Replacement — The modular design allows individual spokes to be replaced as needed rather than replacing entire wheels. This cost-effective approach means you can maintain perfect wheel condition by replacing only the damaged or worn spokes.
- Compatible with Pro-Spec System — These spokes are specifically designed to fit the Pro-Spec Aluminium Rear Hub and Rim combination, ensuring perfect fitment and optimal performance when integrated with genuine Pro-Line components.
- Free 3D-Printable Lacing Fixture Tool — Pro-Line provides a downloadable STL file for a 3D-printable lacing fixture tool, making spoke replacement even more accessible. If you have access to a 3D printer, you can manufacture this tool yourself to simplify future maintenance tasks.
- High Torque Specification — The spokes are rated for a maximum torque of 4 Kg/cm (358 oz/in), providing robust performance under demanding racing conditions and ensuring they can handle the forces generated during aggressive cornering and acceleration.
Technical Performance
The Pro-Spec Rear Wheel Spoke Kit represents Pro-Line Racing's engineering excellence in miniature RC components. Manufactured from premium zinc-plated steel, these spokes combine authentic visual aesthetics with genuine functional performance. The kit includes eighteen medium spokes measuring 54.25mm with two-dot identification and eighteen short spokes measuring 52.75mm with three-dot identification, providing the exact replacements needed for a complete rear wheel. The zinc-plating process not only enhances durability and corrosion resistance—critical factors for RC models exposed to various weather conditions and racing environments—but also creates a refined, professional appearance that distinguishes quality RC components from budget alternatives. The maximum torque rating of 4 Kg/cm (358 oz/in) ensures these spokes can withstand the dynamic forces generated during high-speed cornering, acceleration, and braking in both competitive Promoto-MX racing and recreational bashing. The precision engineering allows for individual spoke adjustment, enabling riders to achieve perfect wheel trueness—a critical factor in maintaining optimal handling characteristics and reducing tyre wear. For UK RC enthusiasts who appreciate the marriage of authentic design and genuine performance, these spokes deliver measurable improvements in ride quality and vehicle appearance.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What is the difference between the two-dot and three-dot spokes in this kit? — The kit includes two different spoke lengths to create the proper wheel geometry for the Pro-Spec Rear Wheel system. The two-dot spokes measure 54.25mm and are classified as medium length, whilst the one-dot spokes measure 52.75mm and are classified as short. The different lengths work together to create the authentic curved rim profile characteristic of real motocross wheels. The dot markings make it easy to identify which spokes go where during assembly or replacement.
- How do I replace individual spokes on my Pro-Spec wheel? — Individual spokes can be replaced by carefully removing the spoke from the hub and rim assembly and installing a new spoke of the same length (identified by the dot markings). Pro-Line provides a free downloadable 3D-printable lacing fixture tool (STL file) that significantly simplifies this process by holding the spokes in the correct positions during replacement. If you have access to a 3D printer or can print through a local service, this tool makes spoke replacement straightforward even for beginners.
- Are these spokes suitable for high-speed RC racing? — Yes, absolutely. These spokes are engineered specifically for performance applications and are rated to handle a maximum torque of 4 Kg/cm (358 oz/in), making them suitable for competitive Promoto-MX racing, high-speed bashing, and demanding track conditions. The precision engineering allows for wheel trueness, which is essential for optimal handling at speed.
- Can I use these spokes if I only have a partial wheel damage? — Yes, one of the major advantages of the Pro-Spec spoke system is that you can replace individual spokes rather than entire wheels. If only one or two spokes are damaged, you can simply order this kit and replace just the damaged components, making it a cost-effective solution for wheel maintenance.
- Do I need any special tools to install these spokes? — Whilst the spokes can be installed with basic tools, Pro-Line provides a free downloadable 3D-printable lacing fixture tool that makes installation much easier and more accurate. This tool is available as an STL file and can be printed on any 3D printer or through an online 3D printing service.
- What makes zinc-plated steel spokes better than alternatives? — Zinc-plating provides superior corrosion resistance, which is especially important for RC models that may be exposed to moisture, grass residue, or dusty racing conditions. The zinc plating also gives the spokes a polished, professional appearance that enhances the overall aesthetics of your model. Additionally, zinc-plated steel offers excellent durability and strength whilst maintaining a lightweight profile essential for RC performance.
- Are these genuine Pro-Line Racing parts? — Yes, these are authentic Pro-Line Racing components manufactured to the brand's exacting standards. The model number G-PRO283701 is the official designation for this Pro-Spec Rear Wheel Spoke Kit for Promoto-MX models. Purchasing genuine components ensures compatibility, performance, and longevity.
