Overview
The Pro-Line Racing 1/4 Pro-Spec Front Wheel Spoke Kit for Promoto-MX is an essential replacement and upgrade component for RC motocross enthusiasts across the UK. If you own a Pro-Spec Aluminium Front Wheel for your 1/4 scale RC motorcycle, this spoke kit delivers the precision, durability and authentic motocross styling that serious RC hobbyists demand. Whether you're a dedicated racer fine-tuning your setup or an RC car UK enthusiast looking to maintain your model's performance, this Pro-Spec spoke replacement kit ensures your wheels remain perfectly true and mechanically sound through countless hours of bashing and racing.
These are not generic spokes — they are true-to-scale, zinc-plated steel components engineered specifically for the Pro-Spec Aluminium wheel system. The kit arrives with 36 individual spokes in two different lengths, each marked with distinctive dot patterns for easy identification during installation and future maintenance. The authentic motocross-inspired appearance sets this apart from generic RC parts; Pro-Line Racing has invested in scale accuracy that makes your 1/4 scale RC motorcycle look as professional as it performs. For anyone serious about their ready to run RC motorcycle or custom build, wheel integrity is non-negotiable, and this spoke kit delivers professional-grade reliability.
RC enthusiasts recognise Pro-Line Racing as a leader in scale realism and performance. This spoke kit exemplifies that commitment to quality. The zinc-plated steel construction resists corrosion and wear, ensuring consistent performance whether you're running indoors on carpet or outdoors on rough terrain. The precise engineering required for spoke replacement means these components are manufactured to exacting tolerances, guaranteeing that your wheels will remain perfectly balanced and true. If you've experienced broken or damaged spokes, you understand how critical it is to have quality replacement parts readily available from a trusted RC model shop in the UK.
Key Features
- True-to-Scale Motocross-Inspired Appearance — These spokes are engineered to match full-scale motocross wheel proportions at 1/4 scale, giving your RC motorcycle an authentically detailed appearance that stands out from generic RC parts, enhancing the overall visual appeal of your model.
- Zinc-Plated Steel Spokes for Precise Truing and Durability — The zinc-plating provides corrosion resistance and a professional finish, while the steel construction ensures the spokes can withstand the forces generated during high-speed runs, jumps and aggressive cornering without permanent deformation or failure.
- Easily Identifiable Dot Markings — Each spoke features a distinctive dot pattern on the head: three dots indicate the longer 55.75mm spokes, whilst two dots identify the medium 54.25mm spokes, making spoke selection and installation straightforward and reducing the risk of installation errors.
- Replacement Pro-Spec Aluminium Wheel Front Spokes — Designed as drop-in replacements for the Pro-Spec Aluminium Front Hub and Rim, these spokes integrate seamlessly with your existing wheel system without requiring modification or additional components.
- Precise Torque Specification — The spokes are engineered to perform optimally at a maximum torque of 4 Kg/cm (358 oz/in), providing the correct mechanical relationship between spoke tension and wheel integrity that prevents over-tightening and ensures consistent performance.
- Professional Lacing Fixture Tool Available — Pro-Line Racing has made available a downloadable STL file for a 3D-printed lacing fixture tool, enabling hobbyists with access to 3D printing technology to precisely position and tension spokes during installation and replacement.
Technical Performance
This Pro-Spec Front Wheel Spoke Kit represents professional-grade engineering optimised for 1/4 scale RC motorcycle competition and recreational use. The zinc-plated steel construction provides a balance of strength and weight that ensures wheels remain true under the significant lateral and vertical forces generated by 1/4 scale RC motocross racing. The inclusion of two spoke lengths — 18 spokes at 55.75mm (three-dot) and 18 spokes at 54.25mm (two-dot) — accounts for the varying distances from wheel hub to rim at different points around the wheel, which is critical for proper wheel geometry and balance. The maximum torque specification of 4 Kg/cm (358 oz/in) is carefully calibrated to the strength characteristics of the Pro-Spec wheel system, preventing spoke breakage whilst maintaining the precise tension required for dynamic wheel balancing. These spokes are compatible exclusively with Pro-Spec Aluminium Front Hubs and Rims, ensuring perfect fitment and performance. The zinc-plating not only provides aesthetic appeal matching the motocross-inspired design philosophy, but also protects the steel from oxidation and corrosion, critical for outdoor RC use in variable UK weather conditions. Whether you're replacing damaged spokes or building a fresh wheel assembly, these components deliver the precision engineering that distinguishes Pro-Line Racing from generic RC part suppliers.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Will these Pro-Spec spokes fit other RC motorcycle wheels? — No, these spokes are engineered specifically for the Pro-Spec Aluminium Front Hub and Rim system. Attempting to use them with other wheel systems will result in poor fitment and potential performance issues. Always verify compatibility with your specific wheel before ordering replacement spokes.
- How difficult is it to replace spokes on my RC motorcycle wheel? — Spoke replacement requires patience and precision, but is achievable for experienced RC hobbyists. Pro-Line Racing provides a downloadable 3D-printable lacing fixture tool that significantly simplifies the process by holding spokes in the correct position whilst you tension them to the specified 4 Kg/cm torque specification. First-time spoke replacement may benefit from watching detailed tutorials or consulting experienced RC modellers at your local RC club.
- How many spokes will I need for a complete wheel rebuild? — This kit contains 36 spokes total (18 long, 18 medium), which is the correct complement for one complete Pro-Spec Aluminium Front Wheel. A full motocross wheel uses spokes of varying lengths to properly support the rim at different radial positions.
- What is the maximum torque specification when installing these spokes? — The maximum torque is 4 Kg/cm, which converts to 358 oz/in. This specification is critical — over-tightening will cause spoke failure, whilst under-tightening will result in a wheel that does not maintain true during use. A torque wrench or screwdriver with torque feedback is recommended for precise installation.
- Are these spokes suitable for high-speed racing or casual bashing? — These Pro-Spec spokes are engineered for both competitive racing and recreational use. The zinc-plated steel construction provides excellent durability across both applications. However, aggressive driving, jumps, and high-impact terrain will accelerate spoke wear and may cause occasional breakage, which is why Pro-Line Racing manufactures these spokes as consumable replacement items.
- Do I need any special tools to install these spokes? — At minimum, you'll need a screwdriver or hex wrench that fits the spoke head size. A torque wrench calibrated to 4 Kg/cm is essential for correct tension specification. The 3D-printable lacing fixture tool (available as a free STL download) is highly recommended for first installations as it prevents spoke mis-positioning.
