Key Features
- Strong Steel Construction — Manufactured from high-quality steel, these dogbones provide exceptional durability and longevity across all driving conditions, from smooth tarmac to rough off-road terrain. Steel construction ensures they can withstand the torque and stress transferred through your RC vehicle's drivetrain without deformation or premature failure.
- Precision Manufactured Drive Pins — Each dogbone features precision-engineered drive pins that create a safe and secure fit with your differential outdrives. This precision manufacturing eliminates wobbling or play in the drivetrain, ensuring consistent power delivery and reliable transmission of engine torque to your wheels.
- Perfect Replacement Component — These are genuine ARRMA spare parts designed to perfectly match the original equipment fitted to your model. Using OEM replacements ensures compatibility and performance that aftermarket alternatives simply cannot guarantee.
- Two-Pack Value — This set includes two complete 40.5mm dogbones, providing a full spare set for your vehicle or allowing you to maintain multiple models. Having backup components means you can keep your RC racing or bashing without delays caused by worn drivetrain parts.
- Transmission Component Critical Function — Dogbones are fundamental to your RC vehicle's drivetrain system, and their quality directly impacts throttle response, acceleration smoothness, and overall driving experience. Quality replacements maintain the performance characteristics your ARRMA model was engineered to deliver.
Technical Performance
The ARRMA Dogbone 40.5mm components represent the engineering excellence ARRMA brings to every spare part they manufacture. At 40.5mm in length, these dogbones are specifically dimensioned for 1/16 scale ARRMA models, particularly the MOJAVE GROM range which includes variants such as the 223S BLX brushless 4WD desert truck and the MEGA 380 brushed 4WD small scale desert truck. The steel material selection provides the optimal balance between weight and strength, crucial for maintaining responsive handling whilst ensuring the drivetrain can transfer full power from even brushless motors without flex or failure. The precision manufacturing process ensures tolerances are held to exacting standards, guaranteeing that each dogbone interfaces perfectly with your differential outdrives. Whether your ARRMA model is equipped with brushless or brushed motor technology, these drivetrain spares will perform reliably season after season. The steel construction resists corrosion and degradation from dirt, mud, water and sand exposure, making these ideal replacement parts for RC vehicles used in varied UK terrain and weather conditions.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What are dogbones and why do I need replacement RC dogbone spares? — Dogbones are transmission components that connect your RC vehicle's differential outdrives to the main drivetrain, transferring power from the motor to the wheels. Under heavy throttle, aggressive cornering, or impact collisions, dogbones can wear out, crack, or break completely. Having quality replacement dogbone spares ensures you can maintain your ARRMA model's performance and get back to driving quickly without waiting for delivery of emergency replacements.
- Are these dogbones compatible with all ARRMA models? — No, dogbone length is specific to each ARRMA model scale and design. These 40.5mm dogbones are engineered specifically for 1/16 scale ARRMA models, particularly the MOJAVE GROM series available in both brushless (223S BLX 4WD) and brushed (MEGA 380) variants. Always verify your model's specifications before ordering to ensure proper fit and compatibility.
- How often should I replace my RC dogbones? — Dogbone lifespan depends on your driving style, terrain, and maintenance frequency. Aggressive driving, frequent high-speed runs, and muddy or rocky terrain accelerate wear. Regular inspection during maintenance sessions is recommended; replace dogbones immediately if you notice any cracking, deformation, or looseness in the drivetrain. Having spare parts on hand means you can replace them as soon as wear becomes apparent rather than waiting for new supplies to arrive.
- Will these genuine ARRMA dogbones improve my model's performance compared to the stock components? — These are replacement dogbones designed to match the original equipment specification, not performance upgrades. However, if your original dogbones are worn or damaged, replacing them with genuine ARRMA parts will restore your vehicle to its original performance characteristics. Worn dogbones cause drivetrain slop and reduce throttle response, so fresh replacements will make your vehicle feel sharper and more responsive.
- Why should I choose genuine ARRMA spares over aftermarket dogbones? — Genuine ARRMA parts are manufactured to the same exacting standards as your vehicle, ensuring perfect fit, material quality, and long-term reliability. Aftermarket alternatives may be cheaper initially but often feature inferior steel quality, imprecise manufacturing tolerances, or poor material properties that lead to premature failure. Investing in genuine ARRMA replacements protects your RC vehicle investment and ensures consistent performance you can trust.
- Can I install these dogbones myself? — Yes, dogbone replacement is a straightforward maintenance task suitable for most RC enthusiasts. You'll need basic tools like hex drivers or a multi-tool to remove your vehicle's body and access the drivetrain, then simply slide out the old dogbones and slide in the replacements. Most installers can complete this task in under 10 minutes per side. If you're uncertain about the process, RC Model Shop's team of experienced enthusiasts are happy to provide guidance.
