Overview
The E-flite Propeller 15 x 8E is a genuine replacement propeller specifically engineered for the Turbo Timber SWS 2.0m, one of the most popular and versatile large-scale RC aircraft available in the UK market today. Whether you are an experienced RC pilot maintaining your fleet or a newcomer to the world of RC aircraft, having spare propellers on hand is essential for keeping your model in the air. The Turbo Timber SWS 2.0m is renowned for its rugged construction, impressive flight performance and forgiving handling characteristics, making it an ideal choice for RC aeroplane enthusiasts at all skill levels. This 15 x 8E propeller is the correct match for your airframe, ensuring optimal performance and reliability during every flight.
As an authorised E-flite dealer, RC Model Shop supplies only genuine OEM components that are manufactured to exacting standards. Using original propellers for your RC aircraft is not simply a matter of convenience—it directly impacts your model's flight characteristics, efficiency and longevity. The 15 x 8E specification has been carefully matched to the Turbo Timber SWS 2.0m's motor and power system, delivering the balanced thrust and rotational efficiency that this airframe demands. If your current propeller has become damaged, nicked, or bent from rough landings or ground contact, replacement with an authentic E-flite propeller will restore your model to its factory performance envelope.
RC aircraft owners in the UK and beyond recognise E-flite as a trusted brand offering proven reliability and consistent quality. From weekend flyers enjoying casual bush flying and aerobatic manoeuvres to serious competitors preparing their aircraft for events, the Turbo Timber SWS 2.0m paired with this propeller delivers dependable performance. Keep a spare propeller in your field kit to minimise downtime and maximise your flying time.
Key Features
- 15 x 8E Specification — This propeller size designation indicates a 15-inch diameter with an 8-inch pitch, precisely engineered for the Turbo Timber SWS 2.0m airframe. The diameter and pitch dimensions determine how the propeller bites the air and converts motor rotation into thrust, so matching the correct specification to your aircraft ensures predictable, efficient flight performance.
- Genuine E-flite Component — Manufactured by E-flite to OEM standards, this propeller is the exact same part supplied with new Turbo Timber SWS 2.0m models. Using genuine components guarantees perfect fitment and ensures your RC aircraft performs exactly as designed by the engineers.
- Turbo Timber SWS 2.0m Compatibility — This propeller is specifically engineered and tested for use with the Turbo Timber SWS 2.0m, one of the most capable and popular large-scale RC aircraft available. The SWS designation refers to the Slow Flight Wing Set configuration, and this propeller is optimised to work seamlessly with that setup.
- Replacement Spare for Field Emergencies — Keep this propeller in your RC flight kit for immediate replacement if your primary propeller becomes damaged. A bent or cracked propeller can cause dangerous vibration and unpredictable flight behaviour, making quick replacement essential for safe flying.
- Durable Construction — E-flite propellers are manufactured from robust materials designed to withstand the stresses of powered flight whilst remaining lightweight enough to minimise load on your motor and power system.
Technical Performance
The 15 x 8E propeller represents the result of careful engineering and testing by E-flite's design team. The 15-inch diameter provides an effective working radius for air displacement, whilst the 8-inch pitch determines the forward distance the propeller theoretically travels with each complete rotation. This combination has been validated for use with the Turbo Timber SWS 2.0m's motor and power plant, ensuring balanced thrust delivery, acceptable current draw, and optimal battery efficiency. The propeller's shape and blade design influence the aerodynamic loading on your power system; too much pitch or diameter can cause excessive motor current draw and overheating, whilst too little reduces available thrust for takeoff and climb performance. E-flite's factory-matched specification eliminates guesswork and delivers the proven performance characteristics that make the Turbo Timber SWS 2.0m such a capable performer. The propeller's construction materials resist impact damage and environmental degradation, supporting reliable operation across multiple flight sessions and varying weather conditions typical of UK flying fields.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Is the 15 x 8E propeller the correct choice for my Turbo Timber SWS 2.0m? — Yes, this propeller is specifically matched to the Turbo Timber SWS 2.0m airframe and is the OEM replacement part for this model. If your Turbo Timber documentation specifies a 15 x 8E propeller, this is the genuine E-flite component you need.
- Why should I buy genuine E-flite propellers rather than cheaper aftermarket alternatives? — Genuine E-flite propellers are engineered and tested specifically for your aircraft model, ensuring perfect balance, correct performance characteristics, and reliable operation. Aftermarket propellers of unknown origin may have inconsistent quality, incorrect pitch specifications, or poor balance, all of which can compromise flight safety and airframe longevity. Investing in original components protects your aircraft and flying investment.
- What should I do if my propeller becomes damaged during a flight or landing? — If your propeller is bent, cracked, or damaged, stop flying immediately and replace it with a new one before your next flight. A damaged propeller will cause dangerous vibration and unpredictable flight behaviour that can damage your motor and cause loss of control. Keep a spare propeller in your flying kit at all times.
- Can I use this propeller on other RC aircraft models? — No, propeller specifications are carefully matched to individual airframes based on their motor, power system, and aerodynamic characteristics. Always use the propeller size and specification recommended in your aircraft's documentation. Using an incorrect propeller can cause motor overheating, poor climb performance, and potential in-flight damage.
- How often should I replace my propeller? — Replace your propeller whenever you observe visible damage such as nicks, cracks, or bends, or if you notice unusual vibration or performance changes during flight. Even minor damage to a propeller can degrade performance, so regular inspection before each flying session is recommended. Keeping spare propellers on hand allows you to maximise your flight time without delays.
