Technical Performance
The Etronix ET0256 battery case is engineered for simplicity and reliability. It is designed to work with four standard AA-size batteries, which when inserted into the case in series will provide a nominal voltage output of 4.8 volts—the standard voltage requirement for most RC receiver and servo applications. The case is fitted with a Futaba-style plug connector, which is the industry-standard connector found on countless receivers, servos and accessory modules used in 1/10th and 1/8th scale RC vehicles across the UK and beyond. The plastic construction of the case is robust enough to protect your AA batteries from physical damage during transport and use, whilst remaining lightweight so it doesn't unnecessarily add mass to your RC model. The design is straightforward and foolproof—there are no complex components or compatibility issues to worry about. Whether you're powering a receiver in a 1/10th scale RC car, a 1/8th scale buggy, or any other RC application that requires a 4.8-volt power source with a Futaba connector, this battery case will perform reliably and consistently.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What voltage does this battery case provide? — The Etronix ET0256 provides a nominal voltage of 4.8 volts when four AA batteries are installed. This is the standard voltage required by most RC receivers and servos, making it perfect for use in 1/10th and 1/8th scale RC cars, buggies, and other RC models.
- Is this battery case suitable for beginners? — Yes, absolutely. The Etronix RX Battery Case is ideal for beginners because it requires no soldering, wiring knowledge, or modification. Simply insert four AA batteries, and plug it into any compatible Futaba-style connector socket. It's one of the most straightforward battery solutions available for RC enthusiasts of all skill levels.
- What type of AA batteries should I use? — You can use either standard alkaline AA batteries or rechargeable NiMH AA batteries. Rechargeable batteries are more economical and environmentally friendly for regular RC use, and they will provide the same 4.8-volt output when four cells are used in series.
- Will this fit my RC car or receiver? — The Etronix ET0256 is compatible with any RC equipment that has a Futaba-style plug socket. This includes the vast majority of RC receivers, servo leads, and accessory connections found in popular 1/10th and 1/8th scale RC cars, buggies, and trucks. If your RC model uses a Futaba connector, this battery case will work perfectly.
- Can I use this for other RC models besides cars? — Yes. Any RC application—whether it's an RC car, buggy, truck, or other device—that requires a 4.8-volt power source and features a Futaba-style connector socket can use this battery case.
- How long will AA batteries power my RC equipment? — Runtime depends on the current draw of your specific receiver and servos. Typically, a set of four AA batteries in a receiver pack will provide several hours of operation, though active servo use and other factors may reduce this. Rechargeable NiMH batteries generally offer good value and runtime for regular use.
