Overview
The Losi 7x11x3mm Ball Bearing (2) Z-LOS217004 is an essential replacement bearing component for Losi 1/16 scale RC buggies. This pair of precision ball bearings is engineered to deliver smooth, reliable performance in demanding RC applications, making it an ideal choice for hobbyists maintaining their RC car UK collections. Whether you own a brushless or brushed Losi Mini-B 2WD buggy, these ball bearings ensure optimal drivetrain efficiency and longevity, keeping your ready to run RC model performing at its best.
As a critical component in the suspension and drivetrain systems of compact 1/16 scale RC buggies, ball bearings experience significant rotational stresses during operation. The Losi 7x11x3mm specification has been specifically designed to handle these demands whilst maintaining smooth operation across a wide range of driving conditions. Whether you're a weekend basher enjoying your brushless RC buggy on local tracks or a serious enthusiast pushing your RC model to its limits, having quality replacement bearings on hand is essential for maintaining peak performance and preventing costly downtime.
This two-bearing pack represents genuine Losi OEM parts, ensuring compatibility and reliability with your existing RC setup. Investing in authentic Losi replacement bearings means you're choosing components that have been tested and proven in the field, giving you confidence that your RC car UK will continue to deliver the smooth, responsive handling it was designed for.
Key Features
- Precision 7x11x3mm specification — These bearings are manufactured to exact tolerances that ensure they fit perfectly into Losi 1/16 Mini-B buggy frames, eliminating play and maximising rotational efficiency across all drivetrain components.
- Pair of two bearings — This pack contains two individual ball bearings, providing you with replacement options for multiple mounting points or giving you spares for future maintenance intervals, which is essential for competitive RC enthusiasts.
- Genuine Losi OEM component — As an authentic manufacturer part, these bearings are engineered to the same specifications as the original components fitted to new Losi ready to run RC models, guaranteeing compatibility and performance.
- Smooth rotational performance — Quality ball bearings reduce friction in suspension and drivetrain systems, translating to improved handling, faster acceleration response, and more efficient power delivery from your RC buggy's motor.
- Extended component lifespan — Replacing worn or damaged bearings prevents cascading damage to related components such as drive shafts, gearboxes and suspension arms, protecting your investment in your RC model.
- Suitable for multiple Mini-B variants — Whether you're running a brushless or brushed version of the Losi 1/16 Mini-B 2WD buggy, these bearings are the correct replacement component for maintaining your specific model.
Technical Performance
The 7x11x3mm ball bearing specification represents a critical engineering component in 1/16 scale RC buggy design. These small but essential bearings are positioned throughout the drivetrain and suspension systems of Losi Mini-B models, where they must handle rotational forces whilst maintaining minimal friction and play. The inner diameter of 7mm accommodates standard RC axle shafts, whilst the 11mm outer diameter provides adequate surface area for load distribution. The 3mm width ensures these bearings fit within the compact chassis design of 1/16 scale buggies without adding unnecessary bulk or weight to the assembly. Constructed from hardened steel components with precision-ground races, these ball bearings deliver smooth operation even under the extreme acceleration and cornering forces experienced during competitive racing or casual bashing. The sealed design of these bearings helps exclude dirt and moisture, prolonging bearing life in outdoor RC environments. Whether you're maintaining a brushless RC buggy that demands precision steering response or a brushed model for casual use, the consistent rotational characteristics of quality ball bearings are fundamental to achieving the smooth, predictable handling that makes RC driving enjoyable. Regular inspection and timely replacement of bearings as part of your routine RC car UK maintenance schedule will keep your Losi Mini-B performing at peak efficiency for years to come.
What's in the Box
Frequently Asked Questions
- What Losi RC buggies are these bearings compatible with? — These 7x11x3mm ball bearings are designed as replacement components for the Losi 1/16 Mini-B 2WD buggy range. They are specifically listed as compatible with the C-LOS01024T1 (Brushless RTR in Red), C-LOS01016T1 (Brushed RTR in Blue/White), and C-LOS01024T2 (Brushless RTR in Blue). If you own any of these ready to run RC models, these bearings are the correct replacement specification for your chassis.
- Why do RC bearings need replacing? — Ball bearings in RC cars experience constant rotational stress and can accumulate dirt, sand and moisture from outdoor use. Over time, bearing races can develop flat spots, the ball elements can develop micro-fractures, and internal clearances can increase, all of which lead to play in the drivetrain and reduced responsiveness. Replacing worn bearings restores smooth operation and prevents damage to surrounding components like axles and gears.
- How often should I replace bearings in my RC buggy? — Bearing lifespan depends on your driving frequency and conditions. Competitive racers might replace bearings every few months, whilst casual weekend bashers might go 6-12 months between replacements. Inspect your bearings regularly for rough rotation, noise, or visible damage, and replace them when you notice degradation in handling response or smoothness.
- Are these sealed or unsealed bearings? — The source documentation does not specify whether these bearings feature seals or shields. For detailed information about the bearing construction and sealing arrangement, we recommend contacting our RC enthusiast team at RC Model Shop who can provide complete technical guidance on bearing specification and maintenance.
- Can I use different bearing sizes in my Mini-B buggy? — No, using incorrect bearing sizes will result in poor fit, excessive play, or potential damage to your chassis. The 7x11x3mm specification is engineered specifically for Losi Mini-B frames, and substituting alternative sizes will compromise handling and potentially damage related components. Always use the correct OEM specification for your RC model.
- Do I need any special tools to install these bearings? — Installing ball bearings typically requires a bearing puller or press to safely remove and install them without damaging the bearing races or chassis. Most RC enthusiasts use a small bearing press or carefully tap bearings out using a drift punch. We recommend consulting your Losi instruction manual or speaking with our RC Model Shop experts for specific guidance on bearing installation for your particular buggy model.
