Overview

The ARRMA Cap Head Screw M2.5x8mm (10) Z-ARA702010 is an essential maintenance and repair component for RC enthusiasts across the UK. Whether you're running an ARRMA RC car, buggy, truck or crawler, these precision-engineered cap head screws are the perfect spare parts to keep on hand for quick repairs, upgrades and routine servicing. Cap head screws are among the most commonly used fasteners in RC vehicles, securing everything from suspension components to body panels, making them indispensable for anyone serious about RC car maintenance.

These high-quality fasteners are specifically designed to meet the exacting standards of modern RC vehicles, where reliability and precision fit are absolutely critical. When you're out bashing or competing with your RC car UK, the last thing you need is a loose screw causing mechanical failure mid-run. ARRMA's cap head screws are manufactured to tight tolerances, ensuring consistent performance every time you need to reassemble your vehicle after maintenance or repair work.

As a UK RC retailer, we understand that serious RC hobbyists need access to genuine spare parts and consumables. These screws represent the kind of practical, everyday items that keep your RC hobby running smoothly, whether you're maintaining a ready to run RC model or building and customising your own setup from individual components.

Key Features

  • Strong Steel Material — Manufactured from high-quality steel, these cap head screws provide long-lasting durability and consistent fit performance across multiple assembly and disassembly cycles, so you can repeatedly service your RC vehicle without worrying about thread stripping or screw degradation.
  • Precision Manufactured Threads — The threads are engineered with precision to exacting standards, enabling fast and easy installation and removal during maintenance work, saving you time when you need to quickly access internal components or perform emergency repairs at the track or field.
  • Convenient Multi-Pack — Supplied as a pack of 10 screws, you always have spare fasteners available for replacement, repair work or building multiple RC vehicles, eliminating frustration when you discover you're short of the right size fastener mid-project.
  • M2.5x8mm Specification — This specific size is commonly used across ARRMA's range of RC vehicles for securing various chassis components, suspension parts and electronics mounts, making it one of the most useful sizes to have in stock for routine maintenance.
  • Cap Head Design — The cap head profile provides excellent grip area for hex key insertion, ensuring secure fastening without slipping or cam-out, and the rounded top presents a professional appearance on finished RC models.

Technical Performance

These ARRMA cap head screws represent professional-grade fastening hardware engineered specifically for the demanding environment of RC vehicle operation. The M2.5 diameter and 8mm length combination makes these screws ideal for lightweight RC applications where over-sized fasteners would add unnecessary mass or create clearance issues. The steel construction provides the strength required to securely hold components under the vibration and stress that occurs during high-speed RC car running, whether on road courses, off-road tracks or rough terrain. The precision-manufactured threads ensure that repeated assembly and disassembly—essential for any active RC hobbyist performing routine maintenance, upgrades or repairs—does not compromise the integrity of the fastening point. The cap head design, with its hex socket recess, allows for rapid fastening and removal with standard metric hex key tools, making these screws far more user-friendly than slotted alternatives. Each screw in the pack of 10 is manufactured to identical specifications, so you can be confident that replacement screws will fit and perform identically to the originals, maintaining the precise tolerance stack-up critical to modern RC vehicle performance.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Are these screws compatible with all ARRMA RC vehicles? — The M2.5x8mm cap head screw size is used across many ARRMA models for securing various chassis and suspension components. However, we recommend checking your specific vehicle's manual or parts diagram to confirm compatibility, as different models and chassis configurations may use different fastener sizes and specifications.
  • How many vehicles can I service with one pack of 10 screws? — With 10 screws included in this pack, you have enough for multiple repairs or a complete service on one or more RC vehicles, depending on how many fastening points need replacement. Most users find that keeping 2-3 packs of common sizes like this M2.5x8mm is ideal for regular maintenance and emergency repairs.
  • What tools do I need to install these cap head screws? — You'll need a 2mm metric hex key (Allen key) to tighten and loosen these cap head screws. This is a standard tool size found in most RC hobby tool kits, and the screws should be tightened firmly but not over-tightened, which could strip the threads in plastic or aluminium components.
  • Are these screws suitable for beginners? — Yes, absolutely. Cap head screws are easier to work with than many other fastener types because the hex socket design prevents the tool from slipping (cam-out) compared to slot-head screws. Any RC hobbyist learning to maintain and service their vehicle will find these straightforward to install and remove.
  • Can I use these screws for building custom RC projects? — Certainly. Beyond replacement and repair, these M2.5x8mm cap head screws are useful for custom builds, modifications and upgrades where you need to secure plastic or aluminium brackets, mounts and components. Their professional appearance makes them suitable for finished showpiece models as well as functional race vehicles.
  • How do these compare to the M2.5x6mm and M2.5x20mm alternatives? — The 8mm length is a versatile mid-range option. The M2.5x6mm (shorter) screws are better for thinner materials or tight spaces where a longer screw would protrude, whilst the M2.5x20mm (longer) screws are needed for securing components with greater thickness or multiple layers. Choose based on your specific application requirements.
