Key Features

  • Strong Steel Construction — These dogbones are manufactured from robust steel that provides exceptional durability and resistance to the stresses and impacts that come with aggressive RC driving in all conditions. Steel's superior strength compared to composite alternatives means these components will withstand repeated impacts, hard landings, and demanding driving without deformation or failure, ensuring your drivetrain remains reliable through countless hours of operation.
  • Precision Manufactured Drive Pins — Each dogbone features precisely engineered drive pins that guarantee a safe and secure fit with your differential outdrives. This precision engineering eliminates play and slippage, ensuring reliable torque transmission from your motor through the differential to your wheels without loss of power or unwanted movement that could compromise handling and control.
  • Perfect OEM Compatibility — These are genuine ARRMA original equipment replacement parts, not aftermarket clones or generic alternatives. This means they fit exactly as designed with zero modification or adjustment required, providing seamless integration with your existing drivetrain components and maintaining the performance characteristics ARRMA engineers specified for your vehicle.
  • 50mm Length Specification — The 50mm length is specifically engineered for compatibility with a comprehensive range of ARRMA 4x4 platforms. This standardised length ensures these replacement dogbones work perfectly across multiple ARRMA models including various GROM variants, allowing you to consolidate your spare parts inventory without confusion or fitment issues.
  • Pack of Two — You receive two complete dogbones in this package, providing a spare pair for both front and rear axles or allowing you to stock replacements for immediate swap-out when needed. Having multiple spares ensures you can get back to driving quickly without waiting for replacement shipments.

Technical Performance

The ARRMA Dogbone 50mm exemplifies precision engineering and material science in RC drivetrain design. Manufactured from hardened steel, these components are engineered to handle the dynamic stresses inherent in high-performance RC driving. The 50mm length has been carefully calculated by ARRMA's engineering team to provide optimal geometry for load distribution across the differential outdrives and axle assemblies in the GROM and TYPHON model families. Steel construction provides superior resistance to shear forces, torsional stress, and impact loads compared to composite alternatives, which makes it the material choice for components that directly transmit engine torque to the wheels. The precision-manufactured drive pins ensure concentricity and dimensional accuracy that allows perfect alignment with corresponding socket features on your differential and axles, eliminating micro-movements that could lead to premature wear or failures. These replacement parts are built to the same exacting tolerances and quality standards as the original equipment shipped with new ARRMA vehicles, ensuring they perform identically to factory components. For RC enthusiasts in the UK demanding reliability in their 4x4 RC vehicles, whether for competitive racing, weekend bashing, or dedicated hobby use, the ARRMA Dogbone 50mm provides the durability and precision required for consistent, trouble-free operation.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Which ARRMA RC vehicles are compatible with the Dogbone 50mm Z-ARA311179? — The 50mm dogbones are compatible with a wide range of ARRMA 4x4 models including the GORGON GROM in Red, Yellow, and Bronze variants, the GRANITE GROM MEGA 380 Brushed 4x4 in Red/Blue, Red, and Green colours, the QUAKE GROM 4x4 in Green, Red, and Purple variants, and the TYPHON GROM 223S BLX 4x4 in both Red and Blue/Silver options. If you own any of these ARRMA models and experience drivetrain wear, these replacement dogbones are the correct OEM parts to restore your vehicle's performance.
  • How often will I need to replace these dogbones on my RC car? — The lifespan of dogbones depends on driving intensity, surface conditions, and maintenance. Casual weekend bashers might go a full season without replacement, whilst competitive racers and aggressive drivers may need to replace them every few months. The steel construction of these ARRMA components provides excellent longevity compared to composite alternatives, but having spare pairs on hand ensures you're never caught without critical drivetrain components when they do wear.
  • Why should I buy genuine ARRMA dogbones instead of cheaper aftermarket alternatives? — Genuine OEM ARRMA dogbones are engineered and manufactured to exact specifications that guarantee perfect fitment, precise tolerances, and reliable performance. Aftermarket alternatives may have dimensional variations that cause poor fitment, increased play in the drivetrain, or premature failure. Saving a few pounds on cheap replacements often results in frustration, downtime, and potential damage to your differential outdrives if parts don't fit correctly.
  • Are these suitable for both competitive racing and recreational bashing? — Yes, absolutely. Whether you're pushing your ARRMA 4x4 to its limits in competitive racing or enjoying casual backyard driving, these OEM dogbones provide the reliability and durability required. The steel construction handles the demands of racing environments where precision and consistency matter, whilst also withstanding the unpredictable impacts of recreational bashing.
  • Will these dogbones work with upgraded or modified differentials? — The ARRMA Dogbone 50mm is engineered to work with the standard differential outdrives fitted to compatible ARRMA models. If you've upgraded to aftermarket differentials or modified your drivetrain with non-standard components, compatibility may vary. We recommend verifying that your differential outdrives use the same socket geometry and spacing as original ARRMA equipment before ordering.
