Overview
The Axial Motor Mount, Trans Case and Linkage for the 1/10 SCX10 PRO is an essential replacement or upgrade component for serious RC rock crawling enthusiasts across the UK. This OEM Axial part is specifically engineered for the SCX10 PRO Comp Scale platform, one of the most respected names in scale rock crawling. Whether you're repairing a damaged transmission case, upgrading your existing setup, or building a custom crawler from the ground up, this drivetrain assembly delivers the robust engineering Axial is recognised for. The SCX10 series has long been the platform of choice for scale trail enthusiasts, and this motor mount and transmission case combination represents proven reliability on challenging terrain.
Built with the same attention to detail as the complete SCX10 PRO Scaler kit, this component integrates seamlessly into your 1/10 scale crawler build. The transmission case houses the critical LCXU transmission technology that defines modern Axial crawlers, offering both standard 4WD operation and optional servo-actuated dig feature capability. This is not a generic aftermarket part—it's genuine Axial engineering designed to work perfectly with the SCX10 PRO platform. For anyone serious about RC rock crawling in the UK, having quality replacement drivetrain components on hand is essential, as the transmission case endures significant stress during aggressive trail work and obstacle negotiation.
This component is ideal for builders customising their SCX10 PRO Comp Scale setup, racers needing replacement parts, or enthusiasts wanting to upgrade their existing crawler with proven Axial technology. The precision-engineered motor mount ensures perfect alignment and engagement with your motor and transmission system, whilst the transmission case provides the structural integrity needed for demanding off-road performance. When you invest in genuine Axial replacement parts, you're ensuring your crawler maintains factory performance standards and longevity.
Key Features
- Genuine Axial OEM Component — This is an authentic Axial factory part, not an aftermarket alternative, ensuring perfect fitment and performance compatibility with the SCX10 PRO Comp Scale platform. Using genuine parts maintains your crawler's reliability and resale value.
- LCXU Transmission Housing — The transmission case is engineered to house the advanced LCXU transmission system, which features external 4WD locking and optional servo-actuated dig capability for improved turning and control on technical terrain.
- All-Metal Internal Construction — The transmission system utilises all-metal internal gears combined with a full set of ball bearings, delivering strength, durability, and smooth, efficient operation even under the stress of aggressive rock crawling.
- Motor Mount Engineering — The precision motor mount ensures perfect alignment and engagement between your brushless or brushed motor and the transmission, critical for efficient power delivery and preventing drivetrain wear.
- Compatibility with Standard and Portal Axles — The LCXU transmission design accommodates both standard AR45 straight axles and optional portal axles, providing flexibility for different crawler configurations and build preferences.
- Proven Crawling Platform — The SCX10 PRO Comp Scale is the successor to one of RC's most respected crawler platforms, with generations of proven performance and a vast community of builders and competitors relying on its engineering.
Technical Performance
The Axial Motor Mount, Trans Case and Linkage assembly represents precision engineering optimised for 1/10 scale rock crawling performance. The transmission case houses the LCXU transmission system, specifically designed to handle the torque loads of scale crawling whilst maintaining smooth, controllable power delivery. The all-metal internal gears resist wear and damage from continuous trail use, whilst the comprehensive ball bearing arrangement minimises friction and ensures efficient energy transfer from motor to axles. The motor mount delivers critical alignment precision—even slight misalignment can cause accelerated wear, vibration, and performance loss, so the engineered tolerances in this component are essential. The transmission features a standard 45.6:1 final drive ratio optimised for crawling torque, with support for both 2S and 3S LiPo battery configurations common in modern RC crawler builds. The optional dig feature capability means you can add servo-actuated transmission locking for advanced terrain negotiation without requiring drivetrain modifications. The component integrates with the SCX10 PRO's adjustable steel C-channel chassis and optimised suspension geometry, creating a complete drivetrain system that responds predictably and reliably whether you're navigating rocky obstacles, technical descents, or competitive crawler courses. This is precision-engineered RC equipment designed to perform consistently across the diverse UK terrain where crawler enthusiasts practise their sport.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What vehicle is this motor mount and transmission case compatible with? — This component is specifically designed for the Axial SCX10 PRO Scaler 1/10 4WD Kit (model C-AXI03028). It will not fit other platforms or older SCX10 versions, so verify your specific vehicle before ordering.
- What is the LCXU transmission and why does it matter? — The LCXU transmission is Axial's advanced transfer case system that can be externally locked in standard 4WD mode or optionally fitted with a servo-actuated dig feature for improved turning and terrain control. This gives you flexibility in how you configure your crawler for different obstacles and driving styles.
- Can I switch between standard and portal axles with this transmission case? — Yes. The LCXU transmission design specifically accommodates both standard AR45 straight axles and optional portal axles, making this component flexible for different build preferences and terrain specialisation.
- What is the gear ratio in this transmission? — The SCX10 PRO system uses a 45.6:1 final drive ratio with 32-pitch gears and a 14-tooth pinion, optimising the system for the low-speed, high-torque characteristics essential for rock crawling and scale terrain negotiation.
- Is this part suitable for beginners? — This is a replacement or upgrade component rather than a beginner-level product. It's designed for builders working on complete kit assembly, experienced crawlers replacing worn parts, or those upgrading their existing crawler. You'll need mechanical skill and tools to install this correctly.
- What motor type does this mount work with? — The sources provided do not specify motor size, KV rating, or exact motor compatibility specifications. Contact the RC Model Shop team directly to verify your specific motor will work with this mount, as precise fitment is critical for performance.
- Does this component come fully assembled? — The sources indicate this includes the motor mount, transmission case, and linkage components. For exact assembly details and whether sub-components require assembly, refer to the instruction manual or contact our team, as complete assembly specifications aren't detailed in the available product documentation.
- What battery voltage does this support? — The SCX10 PRO system is compatible with 2S and 3S LiPo battery configurations, providing flexibility for different power outputs and runtime requirements depending on your build specification.
