Overview
The BLH Tail Pushrod (2): 270 CFX, Fusion 270 Z-BLH4826 is an essential replacement component for owners of the Blade 270 CFX and Blade Fusion 270 RC helicopters. This genuine Blade spare part provides the critical linkage mechanism that controls your helicopter's tail rotor pitch, making it a vital component for maintaining precise flight control and responsive tail authority. Whether you're an experienced RC helicopter pilot in the UK looking to stock essential spares, or someone repairing their Blade 270 after a crash, this tail pushrod set ensures your helicopter will respond exactly as intended during flight.
Designed and manufactured by Blade, these tail pushrods are engineered to exact specifications to guarantee compatibility with both the 270 CFX and Fusion 270 platforms. This RC helicopter spare comes as a pair, giving you redundancy and ensuring you have replacements on hand should one become damaged or bent during operation. Many RC enthusiasts in the UK maintain a comprehensive spares kit for their favourite helicopters, and the tail pushrod is one of those components that can wear, bend, or require replacement after intensive flying or accident recovery. Having genuine Blade parts ensures your helicopter performs at its peak and maintains the precision control that makes these compact helis so rewarding to fly.
RC Model Shop stocks genuine Blade replacement parts to keep your RC helicopters flying at their best, supporting both the casual weekend flyer and the dedicated competition pilot. This is one of those essential consumable-style components that every responsible helicopter owner should have in their spares box, alongside main blades, bearings, and servo components.
Key Features
- Genuine Blade Spare Part — This is an authentic Blade replacement component manufactured to factory specifications, ensuring perfect fit and function with your 270 CFX or Fusion 270 helicopter. Genuine parts maintain the precise tolerances and flight characteristics your helicopter was designed with.
- Supplied as a Pair — The package includes two tail pushrods, giving you a spare for immediate replacement or future use. This redundancy means you can keep flying even if one rod becomes damaged, and you'll have a backup for your spares collection.
- Compatible with Multiple Blade Platforms — These pushrods work with both the Blade 270 CFX and the Blade Fusion 270 helicopters, making them a versatile addition to your spares kit if you fly either model.
- Critical Control Component — The tail pushrod is part of the tail rotor pitch control system, directly affecting your helicopter's yaw control authority and responsiveness. A bent or damaged pushrod will cause control issues and should be replaced immediately.
- Essential for Crash Repair — If your helicopter has experienced a heavy landing or crash, the tail pushrod is one of the first components to inspect and potentially replace. This spare ensures you can get back in the air quickly without waiting for special orders.
Technical Performance
The tail pushrod is a precision-engineered mechanical linkage that forms part of the helicopter's tail rotor control system. Operating within the tight tolerances required for 270-class helicopters, these pushrods must be perfectly straight and free of damage to ensure that pitch inputs to the tail rotor are transmitted accurately and instantly. The design is optimised for the weight and balance characteristics of the 270 CFX and Fusion 270 platforms, meaning these parts are specifically engineered for these models rather than being generic components. In UK RC helicopter flying, having access to genuine replacement parts is crucial because even minor damage to control linkages can affect flight stability and response characteristics. The tail pushrod directly influences how quickly and accurately your helicopter responds to tail control inputs, making this a genuinely performance-critical component rather than just a backup part. The pair format allows you to maintain proper spares inventory—one for immediate repair and one for future use or as a safety backup.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Will the BLH4826 Tail Pushrod fit my Blade 270 CFX helicopter? — Yes, these pushrods are specifically designed for both the Blade 270 CFX and the Blade Fusion 270. They form part of the tail rotor pitch control system and are a direct replacement for worn or damaged original components.
- How do I know if my tail pushrod needs replacing? — Inspect your pushrod for any visible bending, cracking, or damage. If your helicopter's tail control feels sluggish, delayed, or inconsistent compared to normal, a damaged pushrod could be the cause. Replace immediately if you notice any damage to prevent control issues during flight.
- Why do I need a spare tail pushrod? — The tail pushrod is a wear item and failure point on RC helicopters. After crashes or intensive flying, it can become bent or damaged. Having a spare allows you to repair your helicopter quickly without waiting for special orders, keeping you in the air and flying more.
- Is this an original Blade part or a clone? — This is a genuine Blade replacement component manufactured to factory specifications. Purchasing authentic parts from authorised retailers like RC Model Shop ensures you're getting parts engineered for your specific helicopter model with proper quality control and fit guarantees.
- What other tail components might I need alongside the tail pushrod? — Depending on your crash or damage, you might also need a replacement tail boom, tail belt, tail servo, or tail rotor blades. RC Model Shop stocks a comprehensive range of Blade 270 CFX and Fusion 270 spares including all these components, and our team can help you identify exactly what you need for your repair.
- Can I repair a bent tail pushrod? — Attempting to straighten a bent pushrod is not recommended, as even small permanent bends will affect control precision. For the reliability and consistency needed in RC helicopter flying, replacement with a genuine new component is the best approach.
