Overview

The AXIAL Servo Horn Set 23/25T for UTB18 is an essential replacement and upgrade component for RC enthusiasts maintaining or tuning their Axial RC models. This servo horn set is designed to provide reliable steering control and directional input for your RC car, truck, or crawler, making it an indispensable spare part for any serious RC hobbyist in the UK. Whether you're a weekend basher enjoying casual off-road adventures or a competitive racer pushing your RC vehicle to its limits, having quality servo horn replacements on hand ensures your model stays in peak working condition.

Servo horns are critical components that connect your servo motor to the steering linkage on RC vehicles, translating the servo's rotational motion into precise directional control. The 23/25T designation refers to the tooth configuration of this particular horn set, offering compatibility with standard servo spline patterns used across many Axial RC platforms. When your original servo horns become worn, stripped, or damaged from aggressive driving or impacts, upgrading to fresh components can restore steering precision and eliminate play in your steering response, which is particularly important if you're competing in races or tackling challenging terrain across the UK.

As an authorised Axial dealer, RC Model Shop stocks genuine OEM (original equipment manufacturer) spare parts that meet the exact specifications of your RC model. The Z-AXI214000 servo horn set represents the quality and reliability that Axial is renowned for throughout the RC hobby community, ensuring you receive components that integrate seamlessly with your existing setup.

Key Features

  • 23/25T Tooth Configuration — The dual tooth count design of this servo horn set (23 teeth and 25 teeth) provides compatibility with multiple servo applications within the Axial range, allowing you to select the horn size that best suits your steering geometry and control response requirements.
  • Genuine Axial OEM Component — As an original manufacturer part, this servo horn set is engineered to Axial's exact specifications, guaranteeing perfect fitment and durability that matches the quality standards of your RC vehicle's chassis.
  • Durable Construction — Servo horns must withstand constant rotational stress and impacts during driving, and this set is built from robust materials that resist stripping, cracking, and wear over extended use in demanding RC conditions.
  • Quick and Easy Replacement — Installing new servo horns is a straightforward maintenance task that requires minimal tools and technical knowledge, making it accessible to RC hobbyists of all experience levels who want to maintain their vehicles without visiting a specialist workshop.
  • Restores Steering Precision — Worn or damaged servo horns create slack and play in your steering system, reducing response accuracy and control. Replacing them with fresh components immediately restores crisp, precise steering input that's essential for navigating obstacles and maintaining race-winning control.
  • Affordable Spare Part Solution — At an attractive price point, this servo horn set represents excellent value for money when compared to purchasing complete servo assemblies, making it the smart choice for budget-conscious RC enthusiasts across the UK.

Technical Performance

The AXIAL Servo Horn Set 23/25T is engineered from durable materials designed to withstand the rigorous demands of RC driving. Servo horns operate under constant rotational stress as they convert servo motor output into steering commands, making material quality and construction critical to longevity. The 23/25T designation provides two separate horn sizes within the set, with the 23-tooth horn offering a more direct 1:1 steering response and the 25-tooth horn providing slightly increased mechanical advantage and smoother steering feedback. This dual-horn approach allows you to optimise your vehicle's steering geometry and control characteristics to match your driving style, whether you prefer aggressive tight-turn steering for indoor circuit racing or smoother, more predictable responses for outdoor trail and rock crawling. The horns feature standard servo spline compatibility, ensuring hassle-free installation on compatible Axial platforms without requiring any modifications or adapters. These are genuine OEM components manufactured to the exact tolerances and quality standards that Axial maintains across their product range, ensuring reliability and longevity that aftermarket alternatives often cannot match.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is a servo horn and why do I need replacement servo horns for my RC car? — A servo horn is the component that connects your RC vehicle's servo motor to the steering linkage. During driving, particularly over rough terrain or after impacts, servo horns can become stripped, cracked, or worn, causing sloppy steering and loss of control precision. Replacing worn horns with fresh components restores responsive steering, which is essential for competitive RC driving and maintaining control in challenging conditions across the UK's diverse terrain.
  • Is this servo horn set compatible with my Axial RC model? — The AXIAL Servo Horn Set 23/25T is designed for Axial UTB18 platform vehicles. To confirm compatibility with your specific model, verify that your RC vehicle uses the standard servo spline pattern and is part of the UTB18 range. If you are uncertain about compatibility, contact our experienced RC specialist team who can provide detailed guidance on fitment to your particular model.
  • What is the difference between the 23-tooth and 25-tooth horns in this set? — The two different tooth counts offer different steering characteristics. The 23-tooth horn provides a more direct steering response with faster steering input, making it suitable for racing and aggressive driving where immediate directional changes are important. The 25-tooth horn offers increased mechanical advantage, resulting in smoother, more controlled steering feedback that many drivers prefer for trail running, rock crawling, and general recreational driving.
  • How difficult is it to replace servo horns on my Axial RC vehicle? — Servo horn replacement is one of the most straightforward maintenance tasks in RC hobby work. Most vehicles use a simple retaining screw or clip that holds the horn onto the servo spline. Once removed, installation takes just a few minutes with basic tools. This makes it an ideal DIY maintenance job for RC enthusiasts of all experience levels, from complete beginners discovering the world of RC for the first time to seasoned competitors who maintain their own vehicles between races.
  • Can I use just one horn or do I need both the 23-tooth and 25-tooth? — This set includes both sizes to give you flexibility in tuning your vehicle's steering geometry. You would typically install only one horn at a time on your servo, but having both options allows you to experiment with your steering response and select the configuration that best matches your driving preferences and the terrain you regularly encounter.
