Overview
The ARRMA Shock Boot 52mm (2) Z-ARA330787 is an essential maintenance accessory for RC car enthusiasts across the UK who want to protect their shock absorbers from the elements. These premium-quality rubber boots are specifically designed to shield your suspension components from dirt, mud, water and debris ingress, which can significantly compromise the performance and lifespan of your shocks. Whether you're a seasoned RC car UK competitor, a weekend basher, or someone new to the hobby, maintaining your suspension system is critical to keeping your vehicle running smoothly and reliably.
Shock absorbers are among the most important components on any RC buggy, truck or crawler, and they deserve protection. Over time, exposure to moisture and contaminants can lead to corrosion, sticky seals and loss of the smooth damping characteristics that make your RC car handle beautifully. These Shock Boots act as a defensive barrier, extending the working life of your shocks and ensuring consistent suspension performance lap after lap. The pair of boots included in this pack means you can replace worn protection on both front and rear shocks, or equip a complete vehicle with fresh protective covers.
Compatible with popular ARRMA models including the Typhon 6S V5 BLX and the 1/8 TLR Tuned TYPHON 6S 4WD BLX Buggy, these shock boots represent a cost-effective upgrade that pays dividends in reliability and longevity. For any serious RC car UK owner looking to maintain their investment and keep their suspension in peak condition, the ARRMA Shock Boot 52mm is an indispensable addition to your spares collection.
Key Features
- High-Quality Rubber Construction — Made from premium-grade rubber material, these shock boots are engineered for long-lasting durability and will maintain their protective integrity through countless hours of racing and bashing without cracking, splitting or degrading.
- Perfect Fit for 52mm Shock Shafts — Specifically designed to fit 52mm shock shaft lengths, these boots slide onto your suspension components with precision, ensuring a snug, secure fit that stays in place during aggressive driving conditions.
- Super-Smooth Operation — The high-quality rubber formulation allows for unrestricted shock movement, meaning the boots won't create friction or resistance that could interfere with your suspension's ability to compress and extend smoothly during cornering and jumps.
- Dirt and Water Protection — These boots create a sealed barrier that prevents dirt particles, mud, sand and water from entering the shock cylinder, protecting the seals and internal components from contamination and corrosion.
- Black Colour for Cool Looks — Finished in classic black, these shock boots maintain a professional appearance on your RC vehicle whilst complementing most colour schemes and chassis designs.
- Easy Installation — The simple slip-on design means you can fit these boots in minutes without requiring any special tools, modifications or technical expertise, making them perfect for quick maintenance or replacement.
- Pack of Two — Each pack contains two rubber shock boots, allowing you to protect both front and rear shocks or replace a pair on your RC suspension system.
Technical Performance
These shock boots are engineered to work with the ARRMA suspension ecosystem, specifically designed for 52mm shock shaft applications. The use of high-quality rubber ensures that the boots maintain their elasticity and durability even when subjected to the vibrations, impacts and temperature variations typical of RC car driving. The material composition allows the boots to compress and flex with your shock's natural movement without creating binding or resistance, which would otherwise compromise the damping characteristics of your suspension. Whether you're running your RC buggy on rocky terrain, dusty tracks, wet grass or muddy ground, these boots provide reliable protection against the environmental hazards that can degrade suspension performance. The premium rubber formulation resists UV degradation, ozone attack and moisture absorption, meaning these boots will continue to protect your shocks season after season. For RC car UK enthusiasts who regularly maintain their vehicles and understand the importance of suspension care, these boots represent a proven solution to extending shock life and maintaining consistent handling characteristics throughout the lifespan of your RC investment.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What size shocks do these ARRMA Shock Boots fit? — These shock boots are specifically designed for 52mm shock shaft lengths. It's essential to verify your shock shaft diameter before purchase, as shock boots must fit snugly to provide effective protection. If you're unsure about your shock size, measure the diameter of your existing shock shafts or check your vehicle's manual.
- Why do I need shock boots for my RC car? — Shock absorbers contain internal seals and precision-engineered components that are vulnerable to dirt, sand, mud and water ingress. When contaminants enter the shock cylinder, they can cause the seals to wear prematurely, leading to oil leaks, reduced damping performance and eventual shock failure. Shock boots act as a protective barrier, keeping your suspension clean and functioning properly for longer. This is especially important if you frequently drive off-road or in wet conditions.
- Will these shock boots affect my suspension performance? — No, these premium-quality rubber boots are designed to have minimal impact on suspension performance. The high-quality rubber flexes freely with your shock's compression and extension movements, allowing full suspension travel without creating friction or binding. Your shocks will continue to provide the smooth, responsive damping you expect.
- Are these genuine ARRMA parts? — Yes, the ARRMA Shock Boot 52mm Z-ARA330787 is a genuine OEM spare part manufactured by ARRMA. Sourcing genuine manufacturer parts ensures perfect compatibility with your RC vehicle and guarantees the quality and durability you can rely on.
- How often should I replace my shock boots? — The lifespan of your shock boots depends on your driving frequency and conditions. Regular inspection is recommended; replace them if you notice cracks, splits, hardening or any signs of degradation. High-use racers may replace their boots more frequently than casual weekend bashers. Since these come in packs of two, you can keep spares on hand for quick maintenance.
- Which ARRMA models are these compatible with? — These shock boots are confirmed compatible with the Arrma Typhon 6S V5 BLX (C-ARA8606V5) and the Arrma 1/8 TLR Tuned TYPHON 6S 4WD BLX Buggy RTR (C-ARA8406). However, they will fit any ARRMA vehicle or compatible RC car equipped with 52mm shock shafts, so compatibility extends beyond these specific models.
- Can I use these shock boots in wet or muddy conditions? — Absolutely. In fact, shock boots are especially valuable in wet and muddy conditions where water and mud spray is inevitable. They create a protective seal that prevents these contaminants from entering your shock cylinders, making them essential for RC cars that regularly tackle wet terrain or muddy tracks.
