Overview
The ARRMA Shock Boot 40mm (2) Z-ARA330785 is an essential maintenance and protection accessory for RC enthusiasts across the UK who demand the best performance and longevity from their high-performance RC vehicles. These premium-quality rubber shock boots are specifically designed to shield your shock absorbers from the damaging effects of dirt, mud, water ingress and general environmental contamination that can compromise suspension performance. Whether you're running an ARRMA 1/7 TALION 6S EXB 4X4 RTR Speed Truck or an ARRMA 1/8 TLR Tuned TYPHON 6S 4WD BLX Buggy, maintaining your suspension components is absolutely critical to ensuring consistent handling, smooth operation and protecting your investment in premium RC car UK equipment.
If you're serious about keeping your RC car in top condition, whether you're a competitive racer, weekend basher, or casual enthusiast exploring the world of ready to run RC models, shock boots are a non-negotiable spare part that should always be in your toolbox. This two-pack of OEM ARRMA shock boots provides exceptional value and peace of mind, knowing that your suspension system is fully protected from the harsh conditions of outdoor RC driving. The black colour offers a sleek, professional appearance that complements the aesthetic of modern ARRMA RC vehicles while delivering practical protection that extends the working life of your expensive shock absorber components.
Regular replacement and maintenance of shock boots is part of responsible RC car ownership. Worn or damaged boots allow contamination to reach the delicate internal mechanisms of your shocks, leading to reduced performance, leaks, and premature wear. By fitting fresh ARRMA Shock Boots, you're making a smart investment in the reliability and durability of your suspension system, which directly translates to better on-track performance and reduced maintenance costs in the long term.
Key Features
- High-quality rubber construction — These shock boots are manufactured from premium-grade rubber that provides exceptional durability, flexibility and long-lasting protection against repeated compression cycles and environmental exposure, ensuring they maintain their sealing effectiveness across multiple racing seasons and bashing sessions.
- Perfect fit for 40mm shock shafts — Precisely engineered to fit ARRMA 40mm shock shaft lengths with precision, these boots provide a snug, secure fit that prevents slippage and ensures consistent protection without interfering with shock travel or performance characteristics.
- Superior dirt and water protection — The primary function of these shock boots is to create an effective barrier against dirt ingress, mud splash, water ingress and general contamination, keeping your shock absorber internals clean and functioning at peak performance regardless of driving conditions.
- Promotes super-smooth operation — By keeping contaminants out of your shock absorbers, these boots help maintain the smooth, consistent damping action that ARRMA shocks are renowned for, ensuring predictable handling and responsive suspension feedback throughout extended driving sessions.
- Black colour for professional aesthetics — The sleek black finish provides a clean, purposeful appearance that matches the premium look of modern ARRMA RC vehicles, maintaining the visual integrity of your model whilst delivering functional benefits.

Technical Performance
The ARRMA Shock Boot 40mm represents the pinnacle of suspension protection design, manufactured to exact OEM specifications to ensure perfect compatibility with genuine ARRMA shock absorbers. The premium-grade rubber compound used in these boots has been selected for its exceptional elasticity, tear resistance and longevity, maintaining its protective seal and flexibility even after hundreds of compression cycles and exposure to UV sunlight, moisture and temperature fluctuations typical of outdoor RC driving in the UK. The 40mm specification refers to the shock shaft diameter that these boots are designed to accommodate, making them compatible with a wide range of current ARRMA models including the 1/7 scale TALION 6S EXB 4X4 RTR Speed Truck and the 1/8 scale TLR Tuned TYPHON 6S 4WD BLX Buggy, though compatibility should always be verified with your specific vehicle's shock specifications before purchase. The engineering excellence evident in these simple but critical components reflects ARRMA's commitment to providing comprehensive aftermarket support and genuine spare parts that maintain the performance standards of their race-proven suspension systems. Regular inspection and replacement of shock boots is considered best practice in competitive RC racing and serious bashing, with most experienced drivers carrying spare sets in their toolkit to ensure they can maintain peak suspension performance at all times.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Why do I need shock boots for my ARRMA RC car? — Shock boots serve a critical protective function by creating a sealed barrier around your shock absorber shafts, preventing dirt, mud, water and other contaminants from reaching the delicate internal components. Without shock boots, contamination can cause stiction (increased friction), oil leaks, rod corrosion and premature wear, all of which degrade your suspension performance and increase maintenance costs.
- How often should I replace shock boots? — Shock boots should be inspected regularly for signs of wear, cracking, splitting or loss of elasticity. In heavy use conditions, many RC racers replace them every 2-3 months or after 10-15 hours of aggressive driving. Visual inspection is the best guide; if they show visible damage or no longer grip the shaft securely, replacement is overdue.
- Are these genuine ARRMA parts? — Yes, the Z-ARA330785 is the genuine OEM ARRMA part number for 40mm shock boots, manufactured to exact factory specifications and quality standards. When ordering from an authorised ARRMA retailer, you can be confident you're receiving authentic components that will fit perfectly and perform to ARRMA's exacting standards.
- What ARRMA models use 40mm shocks? — The 40mm shock size is used across several ARRMA model ranges. These boots are confirmed compatible with the ARRMA 1/7 TALION 6S EXB 4X4 RTR Speed Truck and the ARRMA 1/8 TLR Tuned TYPHON 6S 4WD BLX Buggy, though you should check your specific vehicle's shock specifications to confirm compatibility before purchasing.
- Can I use aftermarket shock boots instead of genuine ARRMA parts? — While some aftermarket options exist, genuine ARRMA shock boots are engineered to precise specifications that ensure optimal fit and performance with ARRMA shock absorbers. Using genuine parts eliminates fitment uncertainty and guarantees quality and durability that matches your ARRMA vehicle's engineering standards.
- How do I fit shock boots to my RC car? — Fitting shock boots is straightforward: simply slide the rubber boot over the shock shaft until it seats firmly against the shock body. Ensure it's positioned correctly to fully cover the exposed shaft and prevent contamination. No special tools or adhesives are required for most applications.
