Overview

The LOGIC Charge Lead: XT60~XT90 (O-LGL-CLX6XT9) is an essential charging accessory designed for RC hobbyists who operate multiple battery packs with different connector types. This practical dual-connector charge lead bridges the gap between two of the most widely used battery connectors in the RC hobby — the XT60 and XT90 standards. Whether you're running an RC car UK setup, flying electric aircraft, or piloting brushless RC boats, this lead eliminates the need to carry multiple charging cables to your field or workshop.

For anyone with a mixed fleet of RC models and battery packs, this charge lead streamlines your charging routine and keeps your pit box organised and efficient. The LOGIC brand is recognised across the RC community for delivering dependable, quality charging solutions, and this lead is no exception. With the model number O-LGL-CLX6XT9 clearly marked for easy reference and inventory management, it's a tidy addition to any RC enthusiast's collection of essential accessories.

From the casual weekend basher to the dedicated racer, having the right charging leads on hand is crucial for maximising your time in the field. This XT60 to XT90 charge lead offers the convenience and flexibility that comes from owning RC equipment with varying connector standards, allowing you to charge different battery packs without needing to swap leads between chargers or spend time adapting connectors.

Key Features

  • Dual-connector design — This charge lead accommodates both XT60 and XT90 connectors, making it the perfect solution for RC enthusiasts who operate a mixed fleet of battery packs with these two industry-standard connector types, eliminating the need for multiple separate leads.
  • LOGIC RC quality construction — Built to the standards expected from LOGIC RC, a trusted brand within the UK RC community and recognised for producing reliable charging leads and accessories that stand up to regular use in the workshop and field.
  • Easy identification — The O-LGL-CLX6XT9 part number is clearly marked on the product, making it simple to track, identify, and manage within your collection of RC charging accessories and ensuring you always reach for the correct lead.
  • Compact and portable — Designed for convenience, this charge lead is a compact addition to your pit box or charging station, taking up minimal space whilst providing essential connector compatibility for your battery fleet.

Technical Performance

The LOGIC Charge Lead XT60~XT90 is engineered for straightforward, reliable performance in any charging scenario. As a passive charging lead rather than an active electronic device, it simply bridges the connection between your charger's standard output and your battery pack's connector, making it compatible with any smart charger, mains charger, or 12V charger capable of delivering appropriate charging current to your battery. The lead is designed to handle the charging requirements of typical hobby-grade LiPo, LiFe, and Li-Ion battery packs fitted with XT60 or XT90 connectors. The XT60 connector is commonly found on 3S and 4S LiPo packs used in mid-range RC cars, whilst the XT90 connector is typically used for higher-capacity and higher-discharge-rate applications including larger RC aircraft, larger RC cars, and multi-cell battery configurations. By offering both connector types in a single lead, this product eliminates compatibility issues and provides flexibility across your entire RC battery collection. The construction quality reflects LOGIC RC's commitment to reliability, ensuring consistent electrical contact and durability through repeated charging cycles.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Can I use this charge lead with any RC battery charger? — Yes, this charge lead is a passive accessory that works with any RC battery charger with standard output connectors. Simply connect the standard end (typically 4mm banana plugs or similar) to your charger and the XT60 or XT90 end to your battery pack. It's compatible with mains chargers, 12V DC chargers, and any other standard hobby charger setup.
  • What battery packs are compatible with this charge lead? — This lead is designed for any RC battery pack fitted with either XT60 or XT90 connectors. These connectors are found on a wide variety of modern electric RC models including brushless RC cars, electric RC aircraft, RC boats, and other hobby-grade equipment. Check your battery pack's connector type before purchasing to ensure compatibility.
  • Do I need a separate lead for XT60 batteries and another for XT90 batteries? — No — that's the key advantage of this dual-connector design. This single charge lead accommodates both XT60 and XT90 connectors, eliminating the need to purchase multiple leads and keeping your charging setup more organised and cost-effective.
  • Is this suitable for beginners? — Absolutely. This charge lead is ideal for beginners and experienced RC hobbyists alike. If you're new to RC and building a collection of battery packs, having a lead that works with both XT60 and XT90 connectors means you won't need to buy additional leads as your fleet grows. It's a practical investment in charging convenience.
  • What is the difference between XT60 and XT90 connectors? — The XT90 connector is physically larger than the XT60 and is typically rated for higher current discharge, making it more common on larger, higher-powered RC models and multi-cell battery configurations. The XT60 is used on smaller to mid-range models with lower power requirements. This charge lead bridges both standards, giving you flexibility across different scales and types of RC equipment.
  • Can I charge multiple battery packs with this lead simultaneously? — No, this is a single charge lead designed to connect one battery pack to one charger output at a time. If you need to charge multiple packs simultaneously, you would require multiple charge leads or a multi-port charger system.
