Key Features
- Foam Rubber Compound — Foam technology offers superior grip characteristics compared to standard rubber compounds, providing the consistent traction needed for competitive racing and precise cornering. Foam tyres are the choice of professional and serious amateur RC racers worldwide because they maintain grip levels even as the tyre surface heats up during intense driving sessions.
- 42 Shore Hardness Rating — The 42 Shore specification indicates a mid-range hardness level that balances grip and durability. This compound is ideal for racing applications where you need excellent traction without excessive tyre wear, making it suitable for both practice sessions and race days. The 42 Shore rating is a proven competition standard that delivers predictable performance across different track surfaces.
- Pre-Mounted on Carbon Rims — These tyres arrive already mounted and glued onto genuine carbon rims, eliminating the need for separate tyre mounting, gluing, and balancing work. This factory-assembled configuration ensures professional-quality tyre seating and alignment, which directly impacts handling consistency and lap time reliability. You can unbox these and install them on your 1/10 touring car immediately.
- Italian Manufacturing — Corally is renowned for precision manufacturing standards, and these tyres are proudly made in Italy using quality materials and strict production control. This European manufacturing heritage ensures consistent tyre construction, reliable compound delivery, and professional-grade quality that you can depend on for competitive racing.
- Racing and Competition Grade — These tyres are specifically designed for racing and competitive driving rather than casual bashing. The compound, construction, and performance characteristics are optimised for lap time optimisation, making them ideal for drivers who want to extract maximum performance from their 1/10 touring car setup.
- Excellent Grip Under Various Track Conditions — The Attack foam compound is engineered to maintain grip levels across different track surfaces and conditions, whether you're racing on smooth indoor carpet, textured concrete, or outdoor asphalt. This versatility means you can use the same tyres across different venues without needing to change compounds.
- Low Tyre Wear — A key advantage of the Attack compound is its resistance to excessive wear during competitive driving. Unlike harder compounds that wear slowly but offer less grip, or softer compounds that grip well but wear quickly, the 42 Shore Attack tyres strike an excellent balance. This means your investment in quality tyres delivers extended performance life compared to competing products.
- 66mm Tyre Diameter — The 66mm diameter is the standard size for 1/10 GP touring car rear tyres, ensuring perfect compatibility with your touring car chassis. This specification has been proven through countless hours of competitive racing worldwide.
- 30mm Tyre Width — The 30mm width is the regulation size for 1/10 touring car competition, providing the correct contact patch and handling characteristics expected in organised racing. This width optimises the balance between traction, cornering stability, and tyre longevity.
- 12mm Hex Adapter — These rims feature the standard 12mm hex connection used on most 1/10 touring cars, ensuring straightforward installation on your existing chassis. No special adapters or modifications are required for fitment on properly configured touring car models.
- Zero Offset Rims — The rims feature a 0mm offset, which maintains the correct track width and weight distribution for touring car racing. This specification is critical for handling balance and consistency, particularly in competitive environments where precision is essential.
- Ready to Glue Configuration — These rims are designed to be glued to your touring car hubs using standard epoxy or cyanoacrylate adhesive. This time-tested assembly method provides a permanent, reliable connection that won't slip or come loose during aggressive driving.
Technical Performance
The Corally Attack Foam Tyres represent a carefully engineered product developed specifically for 1/10 GP touring car racing. The 42 Shore foam compound has been formulated to deliver the exact balance of grip and durability that competitive drivers demand. The foam technology itself works by creating millions of tiny cells within the rubber structure, which provide enhanced grip through increased microscopic surface area contact with the track. This engineering approach is why foam tyres have become the industry standard for serious RC car racing across Europe and beyond. The pre-mounted configuration on carbon rims eliminates variables that could affect performance, as factory assembly ensures consistent tyre seating, proper glue distribution, and balanced construction. Carbon rims offer excellent rigidity whilst maintaining minimal weight, which is critical for maintaining responsive handling and optimal performance in competitive 1/10 touring car racing. The 66mm outer diameter and 30mm width specifications place these tyres into the standard racing size category used in 1/10 GP touring competitions, ensuring compatibility with virtually all modern touring car chassis designs. The 12mm hex adapter is the universal standard for 1/10 touring cars, making installation straightforward for anyone with basic RC knowledge. These tyres excel in environments where precision and consistency matter, making them equally suitable for club-level racing, regional competitions, or serious practice sessions. The low wear characteristics mean you'll enjoy extended usable life compared to softer compound alternatives, directly improving your cost per use and long-term value proposition.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Are these foam tyres suitable for 1/10 RC touring car racing in the UK? — Yes, absolutely. These Corally Attack tyres are specifically engineered for 1/10 GP touring car racing and represent a professional-grade product used by serious competitors across the United Kingdom and Europe. The 42 Shore hardness is a proven competition standard that delivers excellent grip and durability across various track conditions. If you're participating in organised touring car racing or want to maximise performance at your local RC club, these are an ideal choice.
- What is the difference between 42 Shore and other hardness options? — Shore hardness indicates rubber compound stiffness. Lower numbers (35 Shore) are softer and offer maximum grip but wear faster; higher numbers (40+ Shore) are harder and last longer but may offer slightly less grip. The 42 Shore Attack tyres represent a balanced middle ground, offering excellent grip combined with good durability. For most competitive racing environments, this is the recommended starting point before fine-tuning to your specific track conditions and driving style.
- Do these tyres need any preparation before use? — These tyres arrive pre-mounted and glued on carbon rims, so they're ready for immediate installation. However, before your first race or practice session, you should inspect the tyres for any damage sustained during shipping, check that the glue bond between tyre and rim is secure, and ensure the rims are clean and undamaged. It's also good practice to wipe the tyre surface with a clean cloth to remove any mould release agent or dust from manufacturing.
- Will these fit my 1/10 touring car? — These are rear tyres for 1/10 GP touring cars. They feature the standard 66mm diameter, 30mm width, and 12mm hex adapter connection used on virtually all modern 1/10 touring chassis including those from Team Associated, Kyosho, Xray, TLR, and others. However, you should verify your specific chassis uses standard 1/10 touring geometry. Confirm that your hubs accept 12mm hex adapters before ordering.
- How do foam tyres compare to rubber tyres? — Foam tyres are specifically engineered for racing applications and offer superior grip characteristics through their cellular structure, which maximises surface contact with the track. Rubber tyres are generally better for casual bashing and general use due to greater durability and lower cost. For competitive 1/10 touring car racing, foam is the industry standard and will provide measurably better lap times and handling consistency than rubber alternatives.
- How long do these tyres last? — The Attack compound's low wear characteristics mean you can expect extended usable life compared to softer compounds. Actual lifespan depends on driving intensity, track surface, and your specific driving technique. Most competitive drivers find that a set of quality foam tyres remains competitive for 8-15 race sessions before requiring replacement. Regular inspection and rotation between sessions can extend usable life.
- Can I use these on different track surfaces? — Yes. The 42 Shore Attack compound is engineered to perform well across various track conditions including indoor carpet, outdoor asphalt, concrete, and textured surfaces. This versatility is one of the key advantages of the Attack range, allowing you to race at different venues without needing to change tyre compounds.
- Do I need to break in these tyres? — Foam tyres benefit from a short break-in period where you run them at moderate speeds for a few minutes to allow the compound to reach its optimal operating temperature and the glue bond between tyre and rim to fully set. After break-in, performance will improve as the tyre surface develops a slightly textured finish that enhances grip.
