Overview

The Corally Attack Foam Tyres 1/10 GP Touring 40 Shore 26mm Front with Carbon Rims represent a premium choice for serious RC touring car enthusiasts across the UK. These foam tyres are specifically engineered for 1/10 scale on-road touring cars, delivering the grip and performance characteristics that competitive drivers demand. Whether you're preparing for race day or seeking to elevate your weekend bashings with quality components, these front tyres offer the precision engineering and consistency that Corally is recognised for in the RC hobby.

Foam tyres are the preferred choice for 1/10 touring car racing because they provide superior grip and responsiveness compared to rubber compounds, particularly on asphalt and similar surfaces. The Corally Attack range offers multiple shore hardness options to suit different track conditions and driving styles, and the 40 shore variant sits in the mid-range, making it an excellent all-rounder for most touring car applications. These are not complete wheels—they come with pre-mounted carbon rims, which means you're getting a ready-to-install solution without the hassle of separate tyre and rim purchases.

If you're searching for quality RC car tyres online or visiting an RC hobby shop in the UK, the Attack Foam Tyre range from Corally should be on your shortlist. The combination of proven foam compound technology with lightweight carbon rims creates a setup that balances performance, durability and value, making these tyres suitable for drivers progressing through the grades of competitive touring car racing or those seeking reliable performance upgrades for their existing RC car UK collection.

Key Features

  • Foam Tyre Construction — These tyres are manufactured from premium foam material rather than traditional rubber, which provides significantly better grip and response on smooth racing surfaces, essential for achieving faster lap times and more consistent handling in 1/10 touring car racing.
  • 40 Shore Hardness Rating — The 40 shore rating represents a mid-range compound hardness that offers a balanced performance envelope suitable for various track temperatures and surface conditions, making this an ideal choice for drivers who race on different tracks without needing to swap tyre compounds constantly.
  • 26mm Front Specification — These tyres are specifically designed for front wheel application on 1/10 GP touring cars, ensuring proper fitment, handling characteristics and compatibility with standard front suspension geometry on touring car chassis.
  • Carbon Fibre Rims Included — The tyres arrive pre-mounted on lightweight carbon fibre rims, which reduce unsprung mass and rotational inertia, contributing to improved handling response and acceleration compared to heavier rim materials, a critical advantage in competitive touring car racing.
  • Two-Piece Set — You receive two complete tyre and rim assemblies in this package, providing a front axle set ready for installation on your RC touring car without requiring additional purchases.
  • Professional Grade Components — Corally's Attack line is recognised as a professional-specification product within the RC hobby community, trusted by competitive drivers and club racers throughout Europe and the UK.

Technical Performance

The Attack Foam Tyres deliver performance characteristics specifically optimised for 1/10 scale on-road touring car competition. The foam construction provides immediate response to steering inputs with minimal delay, allowing drivers to feel confident pushing their RC car UK setups to the limit on race tracks. Foam tyres maintain their grip characteristics more consistently across different surface temperatures compared to rubber compounds, which is particularly valuable during longer racing sessions where track conditions may change. The 40 shore hardness places these in the versatile mid-range of compound options—softer than 42 shore for improved wet grip and cooler conditions, yet firmer than 35 or 37 shore for better durability on hot, abrasive track surfaces. The carbon fibre rims are engineered to be lightweight without sacrificing structural rigidity, a critical balance that prevents flex under cornering loads whilst keeping rotational mass minimal. The pre-mounted configuration eliminates the need for tyre mounting tools and expertise, though experienced users can still disassemble and reassemble if needed for maintenance or rim changes. These tyres are intended for on-road touring car use and should not be used on off-road or bumpy terrain, as the foam compound is not designed to absorb impact from rocks or roots. The 26mm size is industry-standard for front axles on 1/10 touring cars and provides proper load distribution and handling balance when paired with appropriate rear tyres.

What's in the Box

  • 2x Corally Attack Foam Tyres (40 shore hardness)
  • 2x Carbon Fibre Rims (26mm, pre-mounted)

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Are these foam tyres suitable for beginners in 1/10 touring car racing? — Yes, the 40 shore Attack Foam Tyres are an excellent choice for drivers progressing from casual RC car UK use into competitive touring car racing. The 40 shore rating offers balanced performance that forgives occasional driving errors whilst still rewarding smooth, consistent inputs. These tyres are significantly better than entry-level rubber tyres, so they will help beginners experience immediate performance gains and learn to feel the difference quality components make.
  • What is the difference between 40 shore and other Corally Attack hardness options? — Corally Attack Foam Tyres are available in 35, 37, 40 and 42 shore ratings. The 35 shore is softest, providing maximum grip in cooler conditions and on low-grip surfaces; 37 shore offers a slightly firmer feel; 40 shore (this product) provides a balanced middle ground for mixed conditions; 42 shore is firmest, best for hot weather and high-grip surfaces where other compounds might overheat. Choosing the right shore rating for your specific track is one of the key tuning variables in competitive 1/10 touring car racing.
  • Do these tyres work on any 1/10 touring car? — These are specifically designed for 1/10 GP touring cars with standard front axle configurations. They will fit any touring car chassis that uses 26mm front rims, which covers the vast majority of current 1/10 touring car platforms. However, you should verify your vehicle's rim compatibility before purchase. Always check that your existing rims or new rims you intend to use are designed for 26mm mounting.
  • Can I use these foam tyres on surfaces other than asphalt racing tracks? — Foam tyres like the Attack range are specifically engineered for smooth on-road surfaces and are not suitable for off-road use, bumpy terrain, or gravel surfaces. The foam compound is not designed to withstand impact or abrasion from rough terrain and will degrade rapidly and unevenly if used off-road. Always use these tyres exclusively on prepared asphalt or similar smooth racing surfaces.
  • How long do foam tyres typically last? — Lifespan depends significantly on track conditions, driving style and maintenance. Competitive touring car drivers typically see 4-6 racing sessions from a set of foam tyres before needing replacement, whilst casual weekend bashers may achieve longer service life. Foam tyres wear more rapidly than rubber but provide superior grip throughout their working life.
  • What makes the carbon fibre rims better than plastic or aluminium? — Carbon fibre rims are significantly lighter than aluminium and plastic alternatives, reducing unsprung mass and rotational inertia, which translates directly to improved handling response and acceleration. The carbon fibre construction also provides excellent strength-to-weight ratio, preventing flex under load whilst maintaining minimal weight penalty. This is why professional touring car setups standardly use carbon fibre rims.
