Whether you're maintaining your existing ARRMA monster truck or stunt truck, or you're a dedicated RC basher looking to fine-tune your suspension setup, these shock springs deliver the precise performance characteristics needed for consistent handling and responsive control. As a UK RC retailer, we understand that choosing the right suspension components is crucial for getting the most out of your RC vehicle, and these ARRMA original parts are engineered to meet exacting standards.
These 70mm shock springs are engineered with a spring constant of 1.16N/mm (6.62lb/in), which has been carefully calibrated by ARRMA to work seamlessly with the suspension geometry of compatible models. The pair of springs included in this package means you have everything you need to refresh both front and rear shock units, or to experiment with suspension tuning to achieve your ideal ride height and responsiveness. For RC enthusiasts in the UK who take their RC hobby seriously, using genuine OEM parts like these ARRMA springs ensures you're maintaining the integrity and performance of your vehicle.
ARRMA is recognised as one of the leading manufacturers of high-performance ready to run RC vehicles and replacement parts, with a strong reputation among the RC community for quality and durability. These suspension springs are precision-manufactured to strict tolerances, ensuring they deliver consistent performance race after race or bash session after bash session. If you own an ARRMA Kraton or Outcast 4S, these springs are an essential maintenance item and upgrade option that can significantly improve your vehicle's handling characteristics.
Key Features
- 70mm Length — This spring length is specifically engineered to fit the shock bodies of compatible ARRMA 1/10 scale models, ensuring proper suspension geometry and ride height without requiring chassis modifications.
- 1.16N/mm Spring Constant — The spring rate of 1.16N/mm (equivalent to 6.62lb/in) provides a carefully balanced blend of suspension compliance and support, allowing your RC car to absorb track irregularities whilst maintaining control and predictable handling.
- Pair of Two Springs — This package includes two individual springs, giving you the option to replace both front and rear springs or experiment with mixed spring rates for advanced suspension tuning on your RC 4WD monster truck or stunt truck.
- Genuine ARRMA OEM Parts — These are authentic original equipment manufacturer springs from ARRMA, guaranteeing compatibility, quality and longevity compared to aftermarket alternatives that may not meet the same manufacturing standards.
- Suspension Upgrade and Maintenance — Whether you're refreshing worn springs or deliberately changing your suspension setup to suit different driving conditions, these springs offer a straightforward way to modify your RC car's performance characteristics.
- Designed for ARRMA Kraton and Outcast 4S Models — These springs are specifically engineered for ARRMA's flagship 1/10 scale brushless monster trucks and stunt trucks, ensuring perfect fitment and optimal performance when installed.
Technical Performance
The ARRMA Shock Springs represent precision engineering applied to one of the most critical aspects of RC vehicle performance: the suspension system. The 1.16N/mm spring constant has been selected through rigorous testing to provide the optimal balance between absorption of impacts and maintenance of vehicle control. In the context of 1/10 scale RC bashers and racers, suspension tuning is often the difference between a vehicle that feels sluggish and unpredictable and one that responds intuitively to driver inputs. The 70mm length indicates these springs are designed for the specific shock body dimensions used in contemporary ARRMA 4X4 4S platform vehicles, which means they integrate perfectly with the rest of your suspension geometry. The spring material and manufacturing process ensure consistent performance throughout the spring's lifespan, resisting degradation from the intense forces experienced during aggressive driving, jumps, and high-speed cornering. For UK RC enthusiasts running the ARRMA Kraton 4X4 4S V2 BLX or the ARRMA OUTCAST 4X4 4S V2 BLX, these springs work in conjunction with the shock bodies and damper fluid to create a complete suspension package capable of handling both smooth circuit racing and rough backyard bashing.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Are these shock springs easy to install on my ARRMA RC car? — Yes, replacing shock springs is one of the most straightforward suspension maintenance tasks. You simply remove the shock body from your RC car, unscrew the top spring collar or retaining cup, remove the old spring, and install the new ARRMA spring. No special tools are required beyond a basic hex key set, which most RC enthusiasts already have. If you're unfamiliar with the process, ARRMA's instruction manuals provide clear guidance, and YouTube tutorials for your specific model are readily available.
- What is the difference between spring constant ratings like 1.16N/mm and 0.359N/mm? — The spring constant (measured in N/mm or lb/in) indicates how stiff the spring is. A higher number means a stiffer spring that resists compression more, while a lower number means a softer spring that compresses more easily. The 1.16N/mm springs included here are considerably stiffer than the 0.359N/mm springs ARRMA offers separately, making them better suited for rough terrain, aggressive driving, or heavier drivers. Softer springs work better for smooth tracks and lighter drivers. Choosing the correct spring rate for your specific driving style and track conditions is key to optimising your RC car's handling.
- Will these springs fit my older ARRMA model? — These springs are specifically designed for the ARRMA Kraton and Outcast 4S V2 BLX models listed in the compatibility section. While older ARRMA vehicles may use similar shock dimensions, we recommend checking your vehicle's manual or contacting ARRMA support to confirm compatibility before purchasing, as different model generations may use different spring lengths or seat designs. Using incompatible springs can result in improper ride height and poor handling.
- How often should I replace my shock springs? — Shock springs don't typically need replacement based on a specific schedule, but rather when you notice they are no longer providing adequate suspension support or when you want to change your vehicle's handling characteristics. Springs can lose effectiveness over time due to metal fatigue from repeated compression cycles, especially if your RC car experiences constant high-impact activity. Signs that replacement may be needed include excessive sagging ride height, reduced responsiveness to track conditions, or visible deformation of the spring coils.
- Can I use different spring rates on the front and rear of my RC car? — Yes, many experienced RC enthusiasts run different spring rates front and rear to fine-tune their vehicle's balance and handling. For example, you might run stiffer springs on the rear for better stability whilst using slightly softer springs on the front for improved traction and steering response. However, this requires purchasing multiple spring packages and is typically only recommended once you have a good understanding of how spring rates affect your specific vehicle's behaviour.
- Are genuine ARRMA springs better than aftermarket alternatives? — Genuine ARRMA OEM parts like these shock springs are engineered and tested to work perfectly with ARRMA vehicles. Aftermarket springs may appear similar but could have slight differences in manufacturing tolerances, material composition, or dimensions that result in inconsistent performance or fit issues. For the modest cost difference, using genuine OEM parts ensures you're getting exactly what your ARRMA vehicle was designed for.
