Overview

The TLR Silicone Diff Fluid, 10,000CS (Z-TLR5282) is an essential pit accessory for serious RC racing enthusiasts in the UK and beyond. Manufactured by Team Losi Racing, this professional-grade differential fluid is specifically formulated to optimise the performance and longevity of your RC buggy, truggy, or competition-grade RC car. Whether you're preparing for a race weekend at your local track or fine-tuning your setup for maximum performance, genuine TLR pit accessories like this silicone diff fluid are trusted by TLR Factory Team drivers and competitive racers worldwide.

Differential fluid is a critical component in any high-performance RC car setup. The differential in your RC vehicle's drivetrain requires proper lubrication and damping to function correctly, especially during aggressive cornering, acceleration, and deceleration. The viscosity rating of your diff fluid directly impacts how your RC buggy or truggy handles, affecting traction, turning behaviour, and overall performance on the track. TLR's range of silicone diff fluids allows you to dial in the exact characteristics your vehicle needs for optimal performance.

With a viscosity of 10,000CS, this particular formula offers a heavier damping profile compared to lighter diff fluids, making it ideal for specific track conditions and vehicle setups where maximum differential locking and stability are desired. As part of Team Losi Racing's comprehensive pit supplies and track accessories range, this silicone diff fluid is engineered to the same exacting standards as all other TLR RC racing products. For RC car UK enthusiasts, ready to run RC owners, and competition-grade racers alike, stocking your pit bench with genuine TLR fluids is an essential part of maintaining your RC vehicle in peak racing condition.

Key Features

  • Professional 10,000CS Viscosity Rating — This heavier-weight silicone diff fluid provides substantial damping and locking characteristics for your RC vehicle's differential, making it suitable for setups that require maximum stability and controlled traction through corners. The higher viscosity helps prevent excessive differential slippage during aggressive driving.
  • Genuine Team Losi Racing Formulation — Manufactured to the same exacting standards as all TLR RC racing products, this silicone diff fluid has been developed and tested by racing experts to deliver reliable, consistent performance. It is the fluid trusted by TLR Factory Team drivers and used throughout competitive RC racing.
  • Silicone-Based Formula — The silicone composition ensures smooth operation across a wide range of temperatures and provides excellent stability, preventing breakdown under the demanding conditions of RC racing. Silicone fluids maintain consistent viscosity performance whether you're racing in warm or cool conditions.
  • Pit Bench Essential — As part of TLR's comprehensive range of pit accessories and track supplies, this diff fluid is designed to be an indispensable part of your RC workshop setup. Regular maintenance with proper diff fluid ensures your differential mechanism operates smoothly and reliably at every race meeting.
  • Competition-Grade Quality — TLR pit accessories are engineered specifically for RC racing needs and designed by RC racing experts to deliver results quickly, easily, and effectively. This is not a generic automotive fluid but a purpose-built product for high-performance RC vehicles.

Technical Performance

The TLR Silicone Diff Fluid at 10,000CS represents a specific viscosity grade within Team Losi Racing's comprehensive differential fluid range. The centistoke (CS) measurement indicates the fluid's resistance to flow, with higher numbers representing thicker, more viscous fluids that provide greater damping. At 10,000CS, this formula offers substantial resistance compared to lighter options like 3000CS or 4000CS, making it particularly suitable for tracks and driving styles where maximum differential lock and stability are beneficial. The silicone-based formulation ensures consistent performance across varying environmental conditions commonly encountered during RC racing events. Unlike traditional mineral oils, silicone fluids resist temperature changes and maintain their viscosity characteristics reliably, which is crucial when you're competing in changing track conditions throughout a race day. The engineering behind TLR pit accessories reflects decades of racing experience, with every product designed by RC racing experts who understand the precise demands placed on RC buggies, truggies, and other competition vehicles. This differential fluid works in harmony with your vehicle's differential mechanism, ensuring smooth internal operation and optimal performance. For racers tuning their setups at UK RC tracks or preparing competition-grade RC cars for national events, selecting the correct diff fluid viscosity is as important as choosing the right tyres or shock oil.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What does the 10,000CS viscosity rating mean? — CS stands for centistoke, a measurement of fluid viscosity or thickness. The 10,000CS rating indicates this is a heavier, thicker differential fluid compared to lighter options in the TLR range. Higher viscosity numbers provide more damping and locking characteristics in your differential, which affects how your RC buggy or truggy behaves during cornering and acceleration. This heavier formula is suitable for setups requiring maximum differential stability.
  • How do I choose between different TLR diff fluid viscosities? — Team Losi Racing offers multiple silicone diff fluid options including 3000CS, 4000CS, 6000CS, and 80,000CS, allowing you to fine-tune your RC vehicle's performance. The 10,000CS option sits in the mid-to-heavy range. Your choice depends on track conditions, your vehicle's setup, driving style, and how much differential locking you desire. Lighter fluids provide more free-flowing differential action, whilst heavier fluids offer more control and stability.
  • Is this suitable for all RC vehicles? — This silicone diff fluid is designed for use in the differential mechanisms of RC buggies, truggies, and other competition-grade RC cars. It is most commonly used in Losi RC vehicles and other high-performance RC racing setups. Always consult your vehicle's manual or setup guide to determine the appropriate viscosity for your specific model and racing conditions.
  • How often should I change my diff fluid? — Regular maintenance of your RC vehicle's differential is essential for optimal performance. Many racers change their diff fluid seasonally or after significant racing events to ensure peak performance. As part of your pit bench maintenance routine, regularly inspect and refresh your differential fluid to keep your RC car in winning condition.
  • Why use genuine TLR pit accessories instead of generic fluids? — Genuine Team Losi Racing pit accessories, including this silicone diff fluid, are manufactured to the same exacting standards as all TLR RC racing products. They have been formulated and tested specifically for the demands of competitive RC racing. Using genuine TLR fluids ensures compatibility with your vehicle and reliability during crucial race moments, which is why TLR Factory Team drivers and serious competitors depend on them.
