Overview

The Team Losi Racing Front Springs in silver with low frequency 12mm specifications are essential replacement parts for competitive RC buggy racing. These front springs are designed as direct replacements or optional upgrades for Team Losi Racing 1/10 scale 2WD buggies, providing the suspension tuning necessary to optimise your vehicle's handling characteristics on both carpet and dirt surfaces. Whether you're preparing for race day or simply maintaining your RC car UK setup, these OEM springs from TLR deliver the precision engineering expected from a manufacturer recognised as a leader in competitive RC racing.

As part of Team Losi Racing's comprehensive parts catalogue, these front springs represent the factory-standard components used in championship-winning setups. The low frequency rating determines the spring's stiffness and responsiveness, making them ideal for drivers who want to fine-tune their suspension for specific track conditions. These springs are compatible with multiple TLR 2WD buggy models including the 22 5.0 platforms, making them a versatile choice for the serious RC enthusiast looking to maintain factory performance or experiment with suspension geometry.

RC model shop customers benefit from having access to genuine OEM Team Losi Racing parts, ensuring that every component meets the manufacturer's strict quality standards. The silver finish not only looks professional but also indicates these are precision-engineered components built to withstand the demands of competitive racing. Whether you race at your local club or enjoy weekend bashing, having quality replacement springs on hand ensures your RC buggy stays competitive and performs predictably across different track surfaces.

Key Features

  • Low Frequency Design — The low frequency specification means these springs have a softer rate, allowing greater suspension travel and compliance, which is particularly beneficial for absorbing track imperfections and maintaining traction on uneven surfaces during RC racing.
  • 12mm Diameter Specification — The 12mm dimension ensures proper fitment and performance characteristics on compatible TLR 2WD buggy platforms, maintaining the correct suspension geometry and ride height for optimal handling.
  • Silver Finish — These springs feature a protective silver coating that resists corrosion and wear, extending their service life whether you're racing indoors on carpet or outdoors on dirt and clay tracks.
  • OEM Quality Components — Manufactured by Team Losi Racing, these are the same springs used in factory race kits and championship setups, guaranteeing consistency and performance you can rely on.
  • Matched Pair — Two springs are included in this package, providing a complete front suspension upgrade or replacement set for vehicles requiring paired spring components.
  • Compatible with Multiple TLR Models — These springs work with the TLR03017, TLR03016, TLR03022, TLR03018, and TLR03012 buggies, making them a valuable upgrade for TLR 22 5.0 2WD platform owners.

Technical Performance

The Team Losi Racing Front Springs deliver the precision engineering required for competitive RC buggy racing. As suspension components specifically engineered for 1/10 scale 2WD buggies, these springs work in conjunction with your vehicle's shock absorbers to manage weight transfer, maintain consistent ride height, and optimise tyre contact with the track surface. The low frequency rating indicates a softer spring constant, which means the springs compress more easily and allow the suspension to work through a greater range of motion. This characteristic is particularly valuable when racing on mixed terrain where track conditions vary significantly, as the softer spring rate helps the vehicle maintain traction and absorb impacts that stiffer springs might transmit directly to the chassis. The 12mm diameter specification ensures proper fitment within the TLR suspension architecture, maintaining correct suspension angles and ensuring the springs work harmoniously with complementary suspension components. Built from high-quality materials with professional-grade construction, these springs maintain their shape and performance characteristics across countless racing cycles. The silver finish provides both aesthetic appeal and protective properties, resisting the corrosion that can develop from exposure to moisture, dirt, and racing environments. Whether you're preparing your RC car UK for competition or maintaining your vehicle between race weekends, these replacement springs represent the factory-standard choice for TLR 2WD buggy platforms.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What does low frequency mean on RC springs? — Low frequency indicates the spring has a softer rate, meaning it requires less force to compress. This allows your RC buggy's suspension to travel further and absorb track imperfections more effectively, providing better grip and a more compliant ride, particularly beneficial for dirt and clay track racing.
  • Which TLR models are these springs compatible with? — These 12mm low frequency front springs are designed for Team Losi Racing 1/10 scale 2WD buggies, specifically compatible with the TLR03017, TLR03016, TLR03022, TLR03018, and TLR03012 models. They work as replacement parts or optional upgrades for these platforms.
  • Are these replacement parts or upgrades? — These springs function as both replacement parts and optional upgrade parts for compatible TLR models. They are the factory-standard springs used in TLR race kits, making them ideal replacements when your original springs need attention, or upgrades if you're experimenting with suspension tuning.
  • Can I use these springs on carpet and dirt tracks? — Yes, these front springs are suitable for both carpet and dirt racing environments. The low frequency design adapts well to varying track conditions, helping your RC buggy maintain consistent handling whether you're racing indoors on smooth surfaces or outdoors on uneven clay and dirt terrain.
  • What is the benefit of OEM springs versus aftermarket alternatives? — OEM Team Losi Racing springs are engineered specifically for TLR platforms and maintain the exact specifications and performance characteristics that professional racers use in competition. Choosing genuine factory parts ensures consistency, reliability, and compatibility with your existing suspension setup.
  • How often should I replace my RC buggy springs? — Spring replacement frequency depends on your usage intensity and track conditions. Springs may lose their rate over time through repeated compression cycles. Having replacement springs available allows you to maintain consistent suspension performance and handling characteristics throughout your RC racing season.
