As a replacement part from Blade, one of the most trusted names in RC aviation, this motor has been developed to meet exacting standards. The counter-clockwise rotation specification means it's designed to work as a port-side motor in a balanced multi-rotor configuration, ensuring your mQX helicopter maintains proper flight dynamics. For RC enthusiasts across the UK seeking genuine OEM components rather than third-party alternatives, this Blade motor represents excellent value and peace of mind, knowing you're using parts designed specifically for your aircraft by the manufacturer.
The mQX platform has developed a strong following among RC hobbyists who appreciate ultra-precise control and the challenge of mastering a high-performance micro helicopter. This motor is the perfect choice for replacement, repair, or performance upgrades on your mQX setup. When you invest in genuine Blade components like this motor with pinion, you're choosing reliability, compatibility and the support of a manufacturer that has been at the forefront of RC helicopter innovation for decades.
Key Features
- Counter-Clockwise Rotation Configuration — This motor is specifically wound and balanced for counter-clockwise operation, meaning it is designed to function as a port-side motor in your mQX helicopter's multi-rotor configuration. Using the correct rotation direction ensures your aircraft maintains balanced thrust distribution and proper flight characteristics across all axes.
- Integrated Pinion Gear — The motor comes complete with a pinion gear already installed, eliminating the need for separate assembly or additional components. This integrated design saves time during installation and ensures perfect timing and alignment with your helicopter's drive train, reducing the chance of mechanical issues.
- Genuine Blade Manufacture — As an official Blade component, this motor has been engineered and tested by the manufacturers of the mQX platform itself. You're getting a part that has been validated to work perfectly with your helicopter, rather than relying on third-party or counterfeit components that may compromise performance or reliability.
- mQX Platform Compatibility — Specifically designed for the mQX micro helicopter, this motor integrates seamlessly with all original mQX components and control systems. If you own a mQX or are building one, you can be confident that this motor will work perfectly within your setup without any compatibility concerns.
- Brushless Motor Technology — Brushless motors like this one offer superior efficiency, longer lifespan and more consistent power delivery compared to brushed alternatives. For RC helicopter applications where reliability and smooth power curves are critical, brushless technology is the industry standard and this motor exemplifies that quality.
Technical Performance
The BLH Motor with Pinion represents a precision component engineered for the demanding requirements of micro RC helicopter flight. As a brushless motor specifically designed for the mQX platform, it delivers the smooth, responsive power characteristics that modern RC pilots expect. The counter-clockwise rotation specification indicates this motor has been wound and balanced to operate efficiently when rotating in that direction, with the integrated pinion gear providing optimal power transfer to the helicopter's transmission system. The motor's compact size is essential for the mQX's lightweight frame, whilst maintaining the power output necessary for aggressive aerobatic manoeuvres and smooth hovering flight. Blade's engineering expertise shines through in every detail of this motor's construction, from the precision bearings that minimise friction to the carefully balanced rotor that ensures vibration-free operation. Whether you're replacing a damaged motor, upgrading your mQX fleet, or building a new aircraft, this motor provides the dependable performance that has made the mQX a favourite among competitive RC helicopter pilots and enthusiasts across the UK and beyond.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Is the BLH Motor compatible with all mQX helicopters? — This motor is specifically designed for the mQX platform, so it is compatible with mQX helicopters. However, you must ensure you are installing it in the correct position according to your helicopter's configuration, as the counter-clockwise rotation means it should be used as a port-side motor. Consult your mQX manual to determine the correct installation position.
- What does counter-clockwise rotation mean? — The counter-clockwise rotation specification refers to the direction the motor's rotor spins when power is applied. In a multi-rotor helicopter like the mQX, motors need to spin in opposite directions to maintain stability and control. This particular motor is wound to rotate counter-clockwise and should be installed on the port (left) side of your helicopter.
- Do I need any tools to install this motor? — The motor comes with the pinion gear already installed, which simplifies installation considerably. You will need appropriate RC tools to remove the old motor and secure the new one, but the motor itself arrives ready to mount. Refer to your mQX manual for detailed installation instructions.
- Why choose genuine Blade components over aftermarket alternatives? — Genuine Blade motors are engineered specifically for your mQX helicopter and have been tested extensively by the manufacturer. Aftermarket alternatives may lack the precise balance, wind characteristics and quality control standards that Blade maintains. Using genuine components protects your helicopter's performance, reliability and resale value.
- What should I do if my mQX helicopter is flying asymmetrically or has vibration issues? — Asymmetrical flight or vibration can indicate a problem with one of your motors. A failed or degraded motor on one side will cause your helicopter to drift or oscillate. If you suspect a motor failure, replacing it with this genuine BLH Motor should resolve the issue, provided the rest of your helicopter is in good condition.
