Key Features

  • Integrated Bearings — The grips come equipped with precision bearings pre-installed, eliminating the need for separate sourcing and ensuring smooth blade articulation and responsive control inputs during flight.
  • Nano CP X Specific Design — These grips are engineered specifically for the Blade Nano CP X helicopter, guaranteeing perfect fitment and compatibility with your existing rotor head assembly and swashplate system.
  • Genuine Blade Component — As an official Blade spare part, this component meets the exact engineering standards and tolerances required for safe, reliable operation and peak performance.
  • Direct Replacement Part — Whether replacing worn or damaged grips or building a complete spare rotor head assembly, these parts function as a direct, no-modification replacement.
  • Essential Maintenance Item — Regular inspection and replacement of blade grips with bearings helps maintain flight control precision, safety, and the longevity of your helicopter's main rotor system.

Technical Performance

The BLH Main Blade Grips with Bearings are manufactured to Blade's exacting standards, incorporating precision ball bearings that enable the smooth, frictionless articulation essential to helicopter flight control. The rotor head is one of the most critical assemblies in any RC helicopter, responsible for translating your transmitter inputs into precise blade pitch changes that control flight attitude, altitude, and manoeuvrability. By utilising quality bearings integrated directly into the grip design, these components minimise friction and wear, ensuring that control inputs remain responsive and precise flight after flight. The Nano CP X platform, whilst compact in scale, delivers full 3-axis stabilisation capability, and the rotor head components are engineered to support this level of performance consistency. For UK RC pilots operating the Nano CP X, whether for indoor freestyle flying, outdoor hovering, or acrobatic manoeuvres, maintaining rotor head integrity is fundamental to safe operation and predictable flight dynamics.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is the purpose of main blade grips with bearings on an RC helicopter? — The main blade grips are the components that hold the main rotor blades and allow them to articulate (move up and down) to control the helicopter's flight attitude. The integrated bearings enable smooth, frictionless movement, which is essential for responsive control and safe flight. Without quality grips and bearings, control input lag and unpredictable behaviour can occur.
  • Is this a direct replacement for my Blade Nano CP X? — Yes, this part is engineered specifically for the Blade Nano CP X helicopter. It functions as a direct replacement and requires no modification or adaptation. If you're replacing damaged or worn grips or rebuilding a complete rotor head assembly, simply install these grips and they will integrate seamlessly with your existing swashplate and rotor head components.
  • How often should I replace blade grips with bearings? — Blade grips and bearings typically last for hundreds of flight hours with proper maintenance. However, they should be inspected regularly for wear, and any signs of stiffness, grinding, or unresponsive control should prompt replacement. Some pilots prefer to keep spare rotor head assemblies, including spare blade grips, ready for quick swaps if damage occurs.
  • Can I use these grips on other Blade helicopter models? — No, these grips are specifically designed for the Nano CP X. Other Blade models such as the Nano S2, Nano S3, and earlier Nano CP variants use different rotor head designs and grip specifications. Using incorrect parts can result in poor fitment, control issues, and potential flight safety problems. Always ensure you're ordering spares matched to your specific model.
  • Do I need any tools to install these main blade grips? — Installation typically requires basic RC helicopter tools such as hex drivers and possibly a spindle tool for disassembly and reassembly of the rotor head. Refer to your Blade Nano CP X instruction manual for detailed assembly procedures. RC Model Shop stocks complete Nano CP X spindle tool sets separately if needed.
