Technical Performance
The anti-rotation bracket plays a vital role in the mechanical integrity of the Blade 230 S's main rotor head assembly. This component is machined and engineered to precise tolerances to ensure that the main rotor shaft maintains proper alignment and prevents unwanted rotation that could compromise flight stability and control responsiveness. The bracket works in conjunction with other main rotor head components including the spindle set, main shaft, and linkage assemblies to create a balanced, responsive rotor system. Blade engineers have designed this bracket to withstand the stresses of normal flight operations, including dynamic loads from the rotating main rotor blades and the control inputs from the servo-driven swashplate system. The precision fit and engineering quality ensure minimal play in the assembly, which translates directly to crisp, responsive helicopter handling and stable flight characteristics. This is the kind of component that RC helicopter pilots often overlook until it needs replacement, but its proper function is absolutely fundamental to the 230 S's ability to perform smoothly and predictably.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Is the anti-rotation bracket essential for my Blade 230 S? — Yes, this bracket is a critical component of the main rotor head assembly. It prevents unwanted rotation and maintains proper alignment of the rotor shaft, which is essential for stable flight and precise helicopter control. Without a properly functioning anti-rotation bracket, your helicopter may experience control issues and flight instability.
- When should I replace my anti-rotation bracket? — You should replace this bracket if it becomes damaged during a crash, or if you notice increasing looseness or play in the main rotor assembly that affects control responsiveness. Regular inspection during maintenance can help identify wear before it becomes a problem. If you're performing a complete restoration of your 230 S, replacing worn components like this bracket ensures everything works as designed from the manufacturer.
- How difficult is it to install the anti-rotation bracket? — Installation requires disassembly of the main rotor head assembly, so it's best suited for pilots with some experience in RC helicopter maintenance. If you're unsure about the installation process, consult your Blade 230 S manual or contact the RC Model Shop team for guidance. We're happy to provide advice on parts lists and installation procedures.
- Will this bracket work on other Blade helicopter models? — No, this bracket is specifically engineered for the Blade 230 S. Other Blade models, including the 230 S V2 and Smart versions, use different components, so always verify part numbers and your manual before ordering spares to ensure you get the correct component for your specific helicopter.
- What other main rotor components might I need? — Depending on the extent of damage or maintenance required, you may also need the main rotor head, spindle set, main shaft, or swashplate. RC Model Shop stocks the complete range of Blade 230 S spares including servo pushrod sets, servo arms with linkage balls, and rotor head linkage sets, so you can source everything needed for a full restoration in one place.
