Overview
Keep your Blade 230 S V2 RC helicopter flying with genuine replacement tail rotor blades. This pack contains two white tail rotor blades, essential crash repair parts for maintaining your model's precision flight characteristics. Whether you're an experienced RC helicopter pilot in the UK or discovering the world of RC helicopters for the first time, having spare tail rotor blades on hand ensures minimal downtime between flights and quick turnaround after an accident.
The Blade 230 S V2 is a popular micro-scale RC helicopter renowned for its agility and stability, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor flying. The tail rotor is a critical component that controls the helicopter's yaw (rotation) and maintains directional stability during flight. Over time, or following a crash, tail rotor blades can become damaged, cracked, or bent, compromising flight performance and safety. These genuine Blade replacement blades restore your helicopter to factory specifications and ensure optimal handling characteristics.
RC Model Shop stocks a comprehensive range of genuine Blade 230 S V2 spares and upgrades to keep your helicopter in perfect flying condition. From main rotor blades and tail rotor components to main shafts, gears, and complete airframe parts, we have everything you need for crash repairs and performance upgrades. Our knowledgeable team understands the demands of RC helicopter flying and is committed to helping you source the exact parts you need quickly and efficiently.
Key Features
- Genuine Blade OEM Parts — These are authentic factory replacement components manufactured by Blade, ensuring perfect fit, balance, and performance with your 230 S V2 helicopter. Using genuine parts rather than aftermarket alternatives guarantees reliability and maintains your helicopter's flight characteristics.
- Pack of Two Blades — You receive two replacement tail rotor blades in this package, providing you with a complete spare set or allowing you to maintain backup blades for extended flying sessions without waiting for replacement deliveries.
- White Colour Variant — These blades are finished in white, complementing the standard Blade 230 S V2 colour scheme and maintaining the visual appearance of your helicopter after repair.
- Essential Crash Repair Component — The tail rotor is one of the most commonly damaged parts following a minor tip-over or crash, making replacement blades one of the most essential spares to keep in your repair kit.
- Quick Aircraft Restoration — Having replacement tail rotor blades readily available means you can get your helicopter back in the air quickly after an accident, minimising downtime and maximising your flying enjoyment.
- Precise Flight Control — A functioning tail rotor with undamaged blades is essential for maintaining precise directional control and yaw stability, ensuring your helicopter responds accurately to control inputs during flight.
Technical Performance
The tail rotor is a critical component in any RC helicopter's flight control system, responsible for counteracting the torque created by the main rotor and providing directional (yaw) control. The Blade 230 S V2 is engineered as a micro-scale helicopter suitable for both indoor and outdoor flight, and the tail rotor must maintain perfect balance and symmetry to achieve stable, responsive flight characteristics. These genuine replacement blades are manufactured to exact specifications, ensuring they integrate seamlessly with your helicopter's existing tail motor assembly and control linkages. The white colour finish is consistent with Blade's manufacturing standards and will not compromise aerodynamic performance. Whether you're flying your 230 S V2 indoors in a gymnasium or sports hall, or outdoors in calm conditions, having undamaged tail rotor blades is absolutely essential for safe and predictable flight behaviour. Damaged or warped tail rotor blades will cause the helicopter to drift sideways or spin unpredictably, making it impossible to fly precisely. The 230 S V2 is recognised as an entry-level to intermediate micro helicopter, and maintaining it with genuine OEM parts ensures it performs as intended by the manufacturer.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Are these genuine Blade parts or aftermarket copies? — These are genuine, authentic Blade OEM (original equipment manufacturer) replacement parts sourced directly from authorised distributors. They are not aftermarket or third-party copies, ensuring perfect fit and performance with your 230 S V2 helicopter.
- Will these tail rotor blades fit my Blade 230 S V2? — Yes, these blades (part number BLH1404) are specifically designed for the Blade 230 S V2 model. Please note that the 230 S, V2, and Smart versions of the Blade 230 helicopter use different components, so always verify the part number against your manual or contact our team if you're unsure.
- Why do I need replacement tail rotor blades? — The tail rotor is one of the most frequently damaged components in RC helicopter crashes and tip-overs. Cracked, bent, or deformed tail rotor blades cause poor directional control, yaw instability, and unpredictable flight behaviour. Replacing damaged blades restores your helicopter to proper working condition and ensures safe, stable flight.
- How often should I replace my tail rotor blades? — Tail rotor blades should be replaced immediately if they are visibly cracked, bent, or warped. With careful flying, they can last indefinitely. However, even minor damage can affect flight performance, so many pilots keep spare blades on hand for quick repairs after crashes.
- Can I use orange tail rotor blades instead of white? — Yes, Blade manufactures tail rotor blades in both white and orange colours. Both will function identically, so the choice is purely aesthetic. Some pilots prefer orange for better visibility during flight, whilst others match the colour to their helicopter's existing colour scheme.
- What tools do I need to replace the tail rotor blades? — Replacing tail rotor blades typically requires only basic hand tools such as a small Phillips or flathead screwdriver. Your Blade 230 S V2 manual contains detailed instructions for this simple maintenance task. If you're unsure, our knowledgeable team at RC Model Shop can advise you step-by-step.
- Is this suitable for beginners? — These are replacement parts, so they're intended for helicopter owners who already have a Blade 230 S V2. If you're new to RC helicopters, you'll first need to purchase either an RTF (Ready to Fly) or BNF Basic (Bind and Fly) Blade 230 S V2 complete kit. RC Model Shop stocks both versions.
- Why buy from RC Model Shop rather than other retailers? — RC Model Shop is an authorised Blade dealer with genuine OEM parts, expert knowledge, and fast UK delivery. Our team understands RC helicopters thoroughly and can help you build cost-effective repair lists or recommend upgrades for your 230 S V2.
