Overview
The BLH 3x6x2.5 Bearing (2) Z-BLH1115 is an essential replacement bearing set designed for RC helicopter enthusiasts and professionals who demand reliability and precision in their models. Whether you're flying a Blade CP Pro 2, Blade SR, or other compatible RC helicopters, these precision bearings are critical components that ensure smooth, efficient rotor performance and extended flight times. As a dedicated RC hobby retailer in the UK, RC Model Shop stocks genuine Blade spare parts to keep your RC helicopter flying at its best, whether you're repairing after a crash, performing routine maintenance, or building a custom setup.
Bearings are among the most important mechanical components in any RC helicopter. They support rotating shafts and reduce friction between moving parts, which directly impacts the efficiency, responsiveness and longevity of your model. The 3x6x2.5mm specification is a proven size used across multiple Blade helicopter platforms, making it a versatile spare part for RC enthusiasts building a comprehensive spares kit. Quality bearings like these ensure minimal wobble in your rotor head, smoother tail rotor operation, and more predictable flight characteristics—all essential whether you're a beginner learning to hover, an intermediate flyer perfecting your techniques, or an advanced RC pilot pushing your helicopter's limits.
Keeping genuine spare bearings on hand is a smart investment for any RC helicopter owner in the UK. Flight accidents, hard landings and normal wear eventually damage bearings, and having reliable replacements means less downtime and more flying time. This two-bearing set gives you what you need for typical bearing replacement jobs on compatible Blade models, and sourcing authentic parts from an authorised UK retailer ensures compatibility and performance.
Key Features
- Genuine Blade Component — This is an authentic manufacturer part, not an aftermarket substitute, which ensures perfect fitment and performance in your RC helicopter without modification or adjustment issues.
- Precision 3x6x2.5mm Specification — The exact dimensions are engineered to tolerances required by Blade helicopter designs, providing the smooth rotation and minimal runout essential for stable hovering and responsive control input during flight.
- Two-Bearing Set — You receive a pair of bearings, which is the typical requirement for bearing replacement jobs on shaft assemblies in RC helicopters, reducing the need for multiple orders.
- Compatible with Multiple Models — These bearings work with Blade CP Pro 2 and Blade SR helicopters, and are listed among spares for other Blade platforms, making them a versatile part for multi-model owners.
- Critical Maintenance Component — Worn or damaged bearings cause vibration, increased drag, battery drain and poor flight performance, so having quality replacements ensures your RC helicopter flies like new again.
- UK Stock Availability — Sourcing from RC Model Shop means you can access this essential spare part quickly without waiting weeks for international shipping, getting back in the air sooner.
Technical Performance
The 3x6x2.5mm bearing size is engineered as a precision component for RC helicopter applications where smooth, frictionless rotation is non-negotiable. These small but critical bearings support the main and tail rotor shafts, tail boom linkages, and other rotating assemblies where any additional friction directly reduces flight efficiency and battery runtime. Blade manufactures these bearings to exacting standards, using quality steel races and precision ball elements that minimise radial and axial play whilst allowing smooth, responsive rotation under the dynamic loads experienced during aggressive manoeuvres, rapid altitude changes and high-speed flight. The 6mm outer diameter and 3mm bore are standard dimensions across multiple Blade helicopter platforms, and the 2.5mm width is engineered to fit within the tight confines of helicopter head blocks, bearing supports and shaft assemblies without interfering with adjacent components. Regular maintenance and bearing replacement when worn keeps your RC helicopter performing at its designed specification, maintaining the precision hovering characteristics and responsiveness that makes Blade helicopters popular with UK RC enthusiasts from beginners through to experienced competitors.
What's in the Box
Frequently Asked Questions
- What are these bearings used for in my RC helicopter? — These 3x6x2.5mm bearings support rotating shafts throughout your Blade helicopter, including main rotor linkages, tail rotor assemblies and drive mechanisms. They reduce friction between moving parts, ensuring smooth rotation and efficient power transfer from your motor to the rotors. When bearings wear out or are damaged in a crash, they cause excessive vibration, drag and poor flight performance, making replacement essential for restoring your helicopter to factory specifications.
- How do I know if my bearings need replacing? — Signs of worn bearings include noticeable vibration during hovering, grinding or clicking sounds, sluggish rotor response, increased battery drain, or visible wear when you inspect the bearing blocks during maintenance. If you've crashed your helicopter hard or landed roughly, it's worth checking the bearings for damage even if the helicopter still flies, as internal bearing damage may not be immediately obvious but will worsen quickly.
- Are these bearings compatible with other RC helicopter brands? — These bearings are specified for Blade CP Pro 2 and Blade SR models and are listed in the Blade Fusion 270 spares compatibility information. Whilst the 3x6x2.5mm size is a standard specification, you should always verify compatibility with your specific model using the exploded parts diagrams or manual before ordering. If you're unsure, our knowledgeable team at RC Model Shop can help confirm fitment for your particular helicopter.
- What is the difference between genuine Blade bearings and cheaper aftermarket alternatives? — Genuine Blade bearings are engineered to the exact tolerances and material specifications required by Blade helicopter designs. Aftermarket bearings often have looser tolerances, lower-quality steel or inferior ball elements, which results in increased runout, more play in the bearing, additional vibration and faster wear. Using authentic parts ensures your helicopter flies exactly as the manufacturer designed it, with responsive controls and smooth, stable flight characteristics.
- Do I need any special tools to replace these bearings? — Bearing replacement typically requires a bearing puller or small press, a shaft support block, and basic hand tools. The specific procedure depends on which bearing you're replacing and your helicopter model. Consult your Blade helicopter manual or our interactive exploded parts diagrams for detailed disassembly and reassembly steps. If you're uncomfortable performing this maintenance yourself, many UK RC clubs and hobby shops offer professional repair and maintenance services.
- How long will these bearings last? — Under normal flying conditions with regular maintenance, quality bearings typically last for many hundreds of flight hours. However, hard crashes, rough landings, flying in very dusty or sandy conditions, and regular aggressive manoeuvres can accelerate bearing wear. Proper maintenance, including occasional bearing cleaning and occasional relubrication according to your manual's recommendations, will extend bearing life significantly.
